Matches are always included as most of the time a Coleman stove is used to heat rations. It’s always available, especially during winter operations as the heaters may not have enough to them to warm up the food.
Big fan from Edmonton Alberta Canada 🇨🇦 and I have a back full of maple 🍁 leaves surrounding my family cost of arms from 1699. I’m a very patriotic Canadian. It’s my country. I have to share with you that when I backpacked through Europe and a few years later Asia way back in my late teens and early twenties in the 80’s, aMEricans put Canadian flags on their packs and maple leaf lapel pins on their jackets because Canadians were much more welcome than (what was said at the time) rude aMEricans. As Canadians we always seem to find each other on over seas adventures. I’ve met fellow Canadians at the very southern tip of South America. So … maybe 🤔 don’t be too harsh when throwing out glib remarks about Canada. There are a lot of us that like your stuff. Keep it up! 👍
The thing about poutine is that it's at it's best ten minutes before you order it. The minute it gets to your table you have about twenty minutes before you have a congealed cheesy potato gravy brick (which still isn't bad... potentially). As for dehydrated in a mre, well think you can add that to the list of Geneva no noes (or as we call it, the Geneva checklist)
I love Bruno's ratings because he hasn't tried too many of the MREs in the past so he's rating them based off what he's tasted before. Knowing me, I'd probably do the exact same thing since I've never had one ever. lol Also, poutine is so good! I've made my own version of it a while ago, definitely wasn't the best, but it was my first time trying to make it so I still give myself a pat on the back for it!
I have a Maple Leaf tattooed on my left arm, right before our final field ex on the QL2/3 in CFB Wainwright AB. Our platoon Sgt was super pissed with us and consulted to have us charged with self inflicted wounds. Mostly to scare us I think.
Have only had a single MRE in my life. It was in the 80s or very early 90s and it was a Canadian MRE Chili Con Carne. From my memory, it wasn't that bad. This Poutine MRE does not look very appetizing at all. Specifically texture wise it looks horrible. But as a Canadian, I know what good poutine should like like, so could just be my personal preconception.
Being given the poutine MRE in the field felt like being the kid who was given pizza Lunchables to bring in elementary school, instant #1 cool guy in the platoon status.
Have you thought of writing to the different delegations at NATO in Brussels to see if they would send you their best? They could make a competition and have the troops vote for their favourite to put forward. It would be brilliant. Shower thoughts... 🌎🌍
Great vid as always! Any chance of a scoreboard? It’s been joked about a few times now but we really do need something. Or a graphic at the end showing all the scores for each MRE?
As someone with relatives in Quebec, it should be stated as everything is in French and English because some of those French Canadians have quite the ego. We had my uncle and his family visit us in Germany and his wife refused to speak English because she was from Quebec and considered French Canadians superior. Three generations of my family had practiced English to accommodate her and she was like “Non!” Believe me, eating this MRE was much more enjoyable than our meals with my aunt, who made it clear that she was better than everyone else. At least you had pleasant company with your MRE. BTW I love poutine - my favorite quick fix dinner.
I would get the maple leaf tattoo even without being Canadian (it's my favorite North American country), as for the MRE, my dog's food looks more appetizing
“The look is not there”, lol in fairness Poutine roughly translates to “hot mess” so while wouldn’t say that’s the best looking poutine I’ve seen, it’s not the worst😂
Great video as always, gents. Might I please suggest turning down the volume of the music a bit? All of your voices are on the softer side and tend to be drowned out by the rest of the soundtrack. Thank you!
All federal government level institutions/organisations have to produce documents/label items in English and French because they are our two official languages. We don't have an official bird, but my vote goes to the Cobra Chicken (aka Canada Goose). Another fun video, although it's too bad the poutine wasn't as good as the pizza pasta meal Tyler tried solo a while ago. Cheers from Ottawa! 🇨🇦
What we keep secret is Canadian flag tattoos are a part of our Healthcare system, and every 4 years for the census we go to a rogers arena. There we show our lower back to be counted.
Tyler! The music is . . . weird? Your basement is not a schmoozy jazz club - or is it? save your time and effort - there is no need for music at all!!!!

What about adding some bloopers in at the end of every video?
I thought it was the whole video? 🤣
YES!!! A new one just before I go to work....and it's Canada 🇨🇦 yay
5:30 three guys chewing trail mix in a microphone

Oh and you can always spot a fake Canadian by just asking him where he’s from in Canada and how close his house is to the North Pole! LMFGAO 🤣😂😅
Just ask them to spell and pronounce Saskatchewan! (I'm fr SK:)
Why are you capitalizing ME in american?
That backpack myth never dies
Is Josh looking to add a peach fuzz mustache to his chefs whites?
Pulled beef IMP is definitely peak, that or the Montreal style one

As a Canadian, I watched this to verify my suspicions that this mre would be disgusting. Also we would call it a chocolate bar, not a candy bar.
"I did this to him last night" sounds quite horible out of context 🤣

I remember being threatened to be charged with getting sun burnt at CFB Gagetown......and for having a pool at the shacks..
Good times lmao
Ghosts of MREs past is haunting your basement

"...or things that you would like changed..." You could maybe starting by changing that damn light bulb. XD Great vid as always guys, enjoy the vibe.
I think the number of people with maple leaf tattoo is way higher because of Toronto's maple leaf hockey fans
Being given the poutine MRE in the field felt like being the kid who was given pizza Lunchables to bring in elementary school, instant #1 cool guy in the platoon status.
Canada having poutine as an MRE is so on-brand. 😂
Bruno is big boy!

This is a great trio!
Are we just all going to gloss over the ghosts flickering the lights or… 👻 😂
Great video starting to get comfortable with the triple host system.
Great vid as always! Any chance of a scoreboard? It’s been joked about a few times now but we really do need something. Or a graphic at the end showing all the scores for each MRE?
Canadian ration packs are called IMP (Individual Meal pack) not MRE (Meal Ready To Eat).

I’m French canadian from Quebec and i will never consider me as superior as anyone else. The ones with their big egos are idiots
Pretty sure that was me freaking out about heating the fruit up lol.
Thank god you did not do it again
WE see who got the "organizing-skills."

The Three Amigo's have been confirmed!
I feel too much the three at the same time. Too crowded...
By the way, 😂you are still missing the board at the back to keep track of the best ones.

Each Province has a provincial bird!
Amazing video as always, y’all should try to get a Russian MRE just for fun 😂
the “pain hamburger” is finally acknowledged @6:00
Joshua! I like the diminutive Sous-Chef
And remember. Pants are always optional. 😉
canadian here with a maple leaf tattoo
Have you ever try the Italian MRE?
Trying to get my hands on one!
@@Butterworthdasyrup if you can' t, i cloud ask to my army friend here in Italy ✌
No maple leaf tattoo here, but one of my instructors in basic training had a black Canadian flag on his fuckin hand lol
Canadian 0 maple leaf tattoo on me, but my husband has one lol

🇨🇦👍😉🇨🇦
Another french with poscato to grade with the Finnish package
Tell Josh he has some dirt on his lip lol
❤
Great aimless music.
Apologize for that abortion of an mre in advance
That's the tallest 12 year old I ever saw
Bruno 😍😍
Look ok😂❤
The dry sealed trail mix is dry?
Don’t let the pvt touch anything
Tally board pls. Awesome vids ❤

Mild fart flavor. Lmao
Sorry but it’s too “busy” with all three at the same time. Alternating sous-chefs is better.
Too many chefs spoil the broth. Hehe
God I don't know man seeing that 12 year old with a mustache growing really confuses me
