This week we bring you along with us as we venture off-road to find the best free camp on the Murray River. After getting through the mud, we found a perfect spot right on the river, where we took a moment to relax and even attempted cooking a damper in the camp oven!
Speaking of cooking, Madi learns the hard way that campfires are no joke by making a innocent mistake that leaves her wishing she knew this before!

Guys loved the Murray river last time I was there, 50 yrs ago and grabbed the rubbish bin full of holes and put moms leg of lamb in it for bait , well got a sore ear and other things for that but got a shit load of crays for the effort lol great spot and great to see you guys getting closer to tassie , little free camp just outside geelong , my birth place before your cruise across bass straight can’t wait for it , beau Mandy I’m excited, shit did I just say that lol regards to the old fella and Luna be safe guys and we shall continue to support you guys , be freeeeeeee kel and lou Brisbane

that's one of the places we camp, exact spot last time we were there a few months ago the river came up and cut the exit off. great place to camp though, we were up the righthand end as you look at the river.
Oh wow it must get so high then. Just a beautiful peaceful spot isn’t it.
@@chasingdreamsau yeh it’s an awesome spot. We’re from Corryong up near where the Murray starts. There’s a lot of good spots up here too on the river. Easier to get into than at Cobram. Better for the kids too with swimming as the river isn’t as deep up here. We’re out camping with our van at the moment for Christmas/New Years.

Gorgeous spot, as an ex Victorian I camped on the Murray a few times as a kid but don't remember it being this beautiful.
I hope your feet are fully recovered now Madi. Ouch!
