Hi! Great review! I just bought the DC E3. I'm using it with the Mojo2 and it sounds great but I have to turn it up to 70, 80% to get it right to my taste. Glad to see the CM18 is a good pair with the E3 and more powerful than the Mojo2. Do you get as good a bass result as you did with the Mojo 2? Is there any missing bass?

Great review ive been curious about the CMA18. You should try get your hands on the Questyle M15i for review to do a comparison review between the 12/15/18. I have the M15 myself and absolutely love it, would be interesting to see the comparisons! Keep up the awesome work your reviews have been great!
Good review! I think that I’m gonna pass on this one. I’m already pretty well covered with my FiiO BTR7 and Muse MT4. When I really want to go all in or need additional power, I also have a FiiO Q7.
The toxicity and narcissism video sounds interesting. This is also an interesting comparison even though I would not get the Questyle when I already have a Mojo 2. Too many other things to get besides, in addition to paying for a CEntrance AMPmini that I pre-ordered.
You can absolutely charge while using it. You just hold the mode button for 4 seconds and it puts it in play and charge mode and that mode stays on until you turn the unit off and is also compatible with Bluetooth mode, though you can't turn it on while in Bluetooth mode because the mode button hold triggers the pairing.
@@Skeeb23 yeah it was a firmware update. I'd guess if yours is new, it's already got the update but they saw the amounts of complaints on headfi and rolled out that firmware update ASAP.

@@pokrog I searched back through the thread and found what you were mentioning. Odd thing...Questyle makes no mention of this on the site. You cannot locate the CMA18 on the download section of firmware. I'm not the only reviewer who didn't realize you could charge/play at the same time. To me, that's a pretty big deal of a feature they should be doing a better job of mentioning to end users. Not everyone will go back through a thread on head-fi to discover it.

@@jamesewanchook2276 yes, the mm500 can be driven relatively easy. I've not personally heard the two together, but spec wise, you're good.
Hold switches are highly underrated. They should be standard on anything that has a volume wheel and goes in a pocket.

Yes, I prefer Mojo2, even with older tech with the micro USB.

Really?? I saw that nowhere in the manual. Was that a firmware update by chance? Glad that is a feature then!
