Hey guys, wanna play on this server? It's got dope PvP and PvE features, ladder mode, etc. All it needs is a bigger population, come join me! fxpgunz.com
Bruh, I sucked at k-style so this was pretty much what I played every day. Just making lobbies trying to find good players to do the bosses, making new friends, general shenanigans. It was a simpler time back then.
i just did the simple stuff.. like dash against walls with sword and change between weapons.. or i played 2 revolvers and switchet after every shot.. my aim was percize.. i was so op with those revolvers
I miss you all. Since International GunZ (beta) lead system... 6 Servers is always full. First come first serve. Holding Enter key just to login. And all of us are now 30 age+.
Questing was the shit, bro. I played it with my best friend as little kids. We talked in Skype and drank sodie pops, just enjoying life. Never was a good pvp player. But the questing is what me and my bud still talk about to this day. Massive nostalgia trip.
Yup I wasn’t sweaty enough for PVP so I quested. Remember being so proud soloing the skele boss from like 60% one day. The desynch’s were awful back in the day though.
I would love to see something like Quest Mode All Bosses or something. I also really enjoyed Quest Mode on and off back when I played. It was a unique experience that had its own kind of skill-curve.
Thanks for the concern. I've went to the doctor, basically the diagnosis is don't play GunZ and get carpal tunnel surgery one day. My hands in general are just very poor from computering my whole life.
Faker, aka God of LOL, a few years ago his hands were examined and it was determined he had the physical wear of someone who had lived their life working hard physical labor the whole time and was 80 years old. Take heart, our fucked up hands will in several hundred years trigger evolution to make peoples hands and wrists last longer.
@@auretioustaak6579 if we don’t destroy the earth before then! Hopefully I can get some sick robowrists to compete with the kids again soon, 27 is about 80 online 😂
@@KadaiGaming I'm 37, my brother and I played on our one computer which was significantly less time than you. We didn't get to the clan warring, played with one of my gaming friends in the US (Australian here) and we both despised K-style because to us, it was boring. We LOVED D-style. So satisfying going into an arena gladiator and winning vs sword users. So damn hard, so many more hits then the sword needed, but when you did win EVERYONE was impressed and you got mad props from all present. We were strictly free to play as neither of us had a credit card and mum wouldn't lend hers to us. Paypal only went public in 2002 and it wasn't widely used like it is today and that's something a lot of people don't know. So there were very much the people able to pay for all the cool gear that boosted stats and then us plebs that decided, fuck it, this is awesome, we're not only gonna main daggers, but I was that guy that you'd see with the Hawaiian shirt and hot pink shorts rocking paired rocket launchers more often then not. Because whilst the game was highly competitive, it was also gloriously good fun. I fondly remember quest mode, it worked for us nicely when you wanted to dodge the games when the hackers (super speed slash parry's that you beat shooting them in the feet but got tiresome, or infinite rockets that crashed games) showed up, but I can't ever recall facing any of the bosses. We may not have known how the quest items worked in all honesty. I watched your GunZ video last year in hospital post ankle and foot tendon surgery and was set to jump in after surgery but then 6 weeks no sitting up in a boot, yeah, muscle wastage happens so fast when not using them and we'd hit August October before I was gaming again and then my laptop was starting to act up. I've finally got a new gaming laptop inbound (1 part still headed to the company before assembling occurs, so about 2 weeks out still) and will definitely get in and play when it does, but it's finger/hand pain that'll get me first. Titanfall 2 I loved on release and for several months (had the first max level Scorch titan in the Australasian servers well before people realised just how good they were, rocking that wicked all black paintjob and just letting its AI solo murder stuff whilst I hunted titans as a pilot with grenade launchers and rockets {GunZ and later, Space Marine, may have corrupted me irreversibly towards big explosions and lots of movement}) but the bunny hop movement mechanic to preserve momentum and really fly through levels, whilst nowhere near as intensive as GunZ was (we never learnt the most advanced stuff, thete were so few D-Stylers the info was scarce and the butterfly was different slightly from the k-style because of no parrying) hand destroying. Because gaming most of your 37 years of life does that. GunZ was your first major love for games, mine Was Commander Keen 4, it's still the game with the most secrets ever and when DOOM 2 had the secret room to kill some hanging Keen's (Billy Blazes more precisely) it was a glorious affirmation that other people fully appreciated the glory of the Commander Keen games (can buy the complete set of games on Steam though Keen 4 is where the graphics and gameplay evolve drastically). I digress, I watched another video of yours saying the GunZ community imploded because people were too fucking stupid to realise a) pay to win and loot boxes are bullshit, especially in an action shooter; and b) it may have been fashionable to scream about raping your opponents back when GunZ was first out, but literally doing that to all the newbies in the past year and not matching your gameplay to theirs whilst occasionally working in more advanced moves to wet the appetite and advance everyones gameplay and gaming fun, that's a noob and scrub move. Not everyone returning/joining new were melee players, and then if melee players, their first passion is going to always be melee which is doing pretty good tournament and esports wise now, unlike GunZ. So that's sad, especially when the games player base is essentially all adults that have gamed their entire lives and should have learnt this by now if not in gaming online, in the real world. You said in another video the community was fractured, do you have a discord where those of us that would like to play again but most definitely need to preserve our hands because we live in the real world and still have a good 60 or 70 or so years left, and will play it to enjoy the game even if it means questing a lot more, that we can join to hopefully organise some games when we're about? Cheers if you got this far, Taak.
I also had broken wrists and thought I would never be able to lift things again, hands would quiver when lifting a glass of water, etc. Stretches didn't help, nothing. Got this wrist exercise thing called a Powerball and it seriously changed my life, can actually kinda use my hands now. Hope this helps dude.
In some pservers I used to play back in the day they would do custom quests where they would use popular bosses and would alter some things and you got more xp than normal. For example I did one where it was Fake Goblin King’s Army and it was literally just 26 Fake Goblin Kings except their health and size where scaled down by a considerable amount that they were more like mobs but way harder. Then of course unique items and weapons you can only get from questing. Items that aren’t op but are gimmicky and thus people looking for a more casual experience can use those (for example a weak RL that has a high rate of fire) at the end of the day the skill cap is so high you have to find a new niche to bring players in. 8 man quests on bigger maps maybe. Raid boss style and you get cool cosmetics you can’t obtain other ways.
Your not alone, my wrists are busted too. I use a special mouse called the QuadStick -- you control it with your mouth. Some people can actually play FPS games with it, but I just do simple stuff with it like browse the web and play TFT on League of Legends
It still feels kinda crazy to me, right now, 27yo, going into a private server, and hitting DBFs easily... I remember when everyone only had the normal BF and then DBF came and everybody was just trynna learn this thing, and we couldn't get the hand of it for our lives LUL and then we got all the other crazy RSS, full IFF, locked IFF with TBF and all the goods that I still can hit today with my very unique reload and stuff on mice and numbers... man, I miss the golden era of this game, I really do :'(
This game has to be rejuvenated man. We just need this on steam! ;(. Never have I felt so much fun playing GunZ. I did play pixel gun 3d, and that was wildin with its mechanics but THIS game just takes it on another level frfr.
I used 2B a clan leader called "QuestFriendz" & I quest alot. I recently learnt how to do Reload Shot a week ago only because of my mouse accessibility. do we get free premium in gunz?
