They've loaded up their forward depth in free agency, but the Canucks appear to be one puck-moving defenceman short. Could we see them add another body on the backend before the season starts, or will it come in-season like they did with Nikita Zadorov last year? Ehlers is offensively gifted. But I can’t see how tocchet would want him on the team. He’s not getting more than 65 points and doesn’t bring many of the intangibles that Garland does. And is more expensive.
