On the plus side, Grievous does have some semi-cool moments in Season Five, specifically with the Padawan arc.
And the SICKEST GRIEVOUS DESIGN I’VE EVER SEEN in Season Seven. For a total of 1.5 seconds, unfortunately.
Also, I love that in this episode, Grievous basically dms the Jedi and says “Yo whaddup, I got one of your guys. Haha, you suck. And I hate you. And I want to kill you. And you suck. And I’m gonna torture your guy in front of you. K bye”

Me and Nick were talking about that too and the weird thing is, he's no where to be seen once the door bust and then visibly comes walking up after a few shots lol
@@OveranalyzingStarWars Probably they either just forgot Grevious was supposed to be right there when animating the later scene or something. Or he walked all the way back into his own ship just to have the dramatic entrance.
@@OveranalyzingStarWarsthat’s probably just another blocking issue like when clones appear or disappear between shots. Grevious does the same technique to capture Eeth Koth at the beginning of the episode
My favourite bit, when Grievous is about to leave obi wan in space vacuum to die, is gloating, then vrooom! here! comes! Gallia!

A fun, but rather sad fact about Eeth Koth is that se survives Order 66 at first. As he had left the Council before the end of the war. Just as his wife was giving birth to his child, Darth Vader & a large gang of Inquisitors show up. Koth stands and fights, only to be cut down by Vader a few panels later.
If only he knew that the person that killed him had been his rescuer about 7or 8 years earlier.
It also showed us The 13th Sister and Tualon (Before Vader kills them both), and I think we get an unnamed cameo from The 2nd Sister, AKA Trilla, long before the release of Jedi: Fallen Order.
Yeah, it was really sad to see Eeth go the way he did. Especially since this family was kidnapped by the Empire afterwards.
What really got me though was what happened afterward, when Vader reported back to Palpatine about what happened. Palpatine asks Vader just what exactly Koth was doing, and Vader answered that he became a priest. And Palpatine... just laughed. He laughed his ass off at that, and said just how hilarious he found it that Koth had left the Jedi Order, only to do the closest thing possible to it.
That just made me really sad, for some reason.
I just checked Disney+ and yeah…it’s weird what they did with the spinning…makes me think if the brightness lowering during spinning in Rebels was intentional

I really like the fight between Grievous and Eeth Koth. Even though it's short, it shows a lot.
The Jedi were surrounded and forced into a duel, but the droids didn't react duel was only betwen Grievous and Eeth. Only when Eeth used the Force did the magna guard attack the Jedi. Grievous doesn't have the Force, so whatever you say, it was fair.
5:00 Yes, I agree with you. Well, maybe Tales, considering that Dave keeps referring to Barriss, and to continue her story, you need to know her backstory; otherwise, she will be very misunderstood, and her potential will be destroyed.
(As for the betrayal, I don't even know if it was a betrayal. I analyzed her moves, and it fits more with improvisation and then giving the Jedi Council the ultimate test: betray Ahsoka or prove that they can be better and act independently of the Senate.
After all, for some reason, she kept Ventress's lightsabers. In my opinion, she wanted to save Ahsoka, frame Ventress, and then leave the Jedi Order with Ahsoka. In other cases, keeping the lightsabers wouldn't make sense. She wanted to use them.)
Barriss definitely needs to have her own arc in the next season of Tales Of The Jedi. We need to see more of her story, goddamnit!

Eeth Koth actually died in AotC but Filoni wanted him in this episode. Leland Chee and Pablo Hidalgo told Filoni “No, you can’t use him” but Lucas let Filoni do whatever he wanted.

If you watch the scene where they cut through the door, you mentioned two blue, two green. These are Grievous's lightsabers. He cuts the hole, then kicks the piece, because straight ahead is where the majority of your forces are (as not to shoot each other.) I know, because he does the same thing in the Lego Clone Wars Video Game.
Yeah I think that was their intention but like 4 cuts later they show him walk up way after lol
@@OveranalyzingStarWars, I think he cuts the hole, and then sends in the commando droids to clean up whatever clones are inside because he wants to focus on the Jedi.
I never noticed until now that at the end there are Geonosis ARF Troopers walking around.

Sometimes I wonder if the problems people have with Grievous are mostly a result of the role he fills in the plot. IIRC, he's one of, if not the lowest tier of unique, recurring villains. Having a bad guy prone to defeat, retreat, weakness, etc. seems important to allow the heroes to get a victory over someone, freeing up someone like Dooku to keep that aloof, untouchable element. I wonder how things would've looked if that weaker role was filled by someone besides Grievous.

Yeah, I think this episode (more than any other besides maybe Lair of Grievous) shows what kind of a character Grievous is, REALLY is behind the persona he's tried to build for himself: A husk. He used to be a proud warrior that fought valiantly to defend his people from invasion and subjugation, only to be crippled and forced into servitude by the very people who caused his fall from grace. He was turned into a literal living weapon, meant for nothing more than to be a symbol of fear, another pawn in Palpatine's game to conquer the galaxy. He likes to think that he's a powerful military leader and a slaughterer of the Jedi he so hates, but the reality is he's just as much of a tool to be used and discarded as everyone else in this sham of a war. He's a tragic figure, like so many others in Star Wars.

I’m glad I’m not the only one annoyed about the lightsaber blades not having the white center on the D+ version, it’s really distracting especially during a part of Carnage of Krell and a segment of Kenobi and Grievous’s fight on Kamino.

So fun fact: Two of the Jedi in the background of this episode are Finn Ertay & Sora Bullq.
The latter (In Legends) turned to the Dark Side and became an assassin for Count Dooku. While the former does show up again in Season 5 Episode 2, albeit for a few seconds in the opening narrations where an unnamed Weequay Jedi Knight and her are killed by Maul & Savage.
There's also a Mon-Calamari Jedi named Eekar Oki in that scene too. He also shows up later in the last few minutes of the Season 3 finale, in the background talking to someone.

12:52 It's clearly supposed to be Grievous cutting open the door, right? Using his 4 Lightsabers and kicking it in afterwards, just like at the start. Why did they then chose to have nobody stand right behind the door and have Grievous come in later? Something really weird happened during production for that scene.

This show might wronged Grievous but what it didn't made wrong was the almost bromance Grievous and Obi Wan had, those two always seem eager to kill each other and take pleasure on fighting each other like an sport

You thing about grievous being like 03 is because Lucas didn’t like the way Greivous was portrayed in 03 Gendy did that on his own and got an earful from Lucas afterwards. That’s why the “badass” greivous has never come back, he was never intended to exist.
