Sidecar racing exists in the US, I remember seeing a film from 1970 called "Little Fauss And Big Halsy, starring Robert Redford and Michael J Pollard, about two solo m/c racers who team up to race a sidecar. (I believe it's called side hack racing where you are). Jay Lenos Garage also had two of them on one episode, and Jay had a go at passengering on a circuit in Ca.

I used to Marshall at Brands Hatch, my favourite race was always the sidecar racing... proper exiting 😮😊

The reward financially isn't that great, when compared to the level of risk. But, all of the Isle Of Man riders, bikes or sidecar, do it for the thrill of participating and doing well
