- Featuring:
Some Day the Dream Will End - Accompanying the party's journey through the ruins of Zanarkand.
Hymn of the Fayth; Spira - Possibly my favourite of the hymns for its reharmonisation.
To the End of the Abyss - I remember not having encountered these types of harmonies in music before, when I played the game for the first time. Even today the soundtrack affects my own style somewhat.
Your arrangements have so much flavour and power to them, they are faithful to the original but the way you translate the various melodies into piano music sound so unique and effective!
Also the transition from one piece to another is always refined and never too abrupt nor dragged out.
Always GREAT news to see your vids in the subscriptions feed, I hope to see lots more in the future!
Take care in this mess of time we're living in!
I've just now realized that I wasn't subscribed to you.
I adore your arrangements, always thrilled to see a new upload from you!
Hope you're doing well.
SO WONDERFUL!!!!! Thank you for this great masterpiece and for an excellent performance, I discovered your channel on the channel of Maestro Mr.Leon McCawley, an English wonderful pianist, and I've noticed your interesting comment, my warm heartfelt greetings from Poland, have a happy week. Joanna
Thank you, Joanna! I'm nowhere near Leon's league but I'm glad you enjoyed my own efforts. All the best to you in Poland.
This is honestly amazing. I have been listening to you play since you started posting here. I cannot wait for your rendition of the following themes: Cloister of Trials and Seymour's Battle Theme (Seymour Omnis, inside Sin). Again, keep up the great work!
Amazing... Thanks for your hard work
I love you, man. Please don’t stop playing and uploading. You’re one of my pianist inspirations.
Always great to see your performance! Not only the music but the way you play is so full of emotion
can't wait for the Yunalesca hymn arrange
To the end of the abyss has always sounded so strange to me but in a good way. Great rendition with your own flare. Bravo!
Best on youtube
An amazing performance, thank you.
hands ❤️
Hi Slow Pianist. Thanks for making this great arrangement.
How are you and what did you have for breakfast today?
I'm well, thank you. I'm happy because today I finished a composition that I found difficult to write but managed to push through and get it done anyway. It's for a competition. I could probably improve it but the deadline is soon and I'm just happy to have finished the thing.
I had pain au chocolat, satsumas and coffee, which is what I usually have at the moment.
Cool thing, thanks. I wish I saw you playing again in that Oblivion chapel.
been a long while, been here since the oblivion vids, happy trails friend.
Someday the dream will end!!
Amazing!! could you one day do FF9
@TheSlowPianist could you send the these sheets would love to play this song I was my favorite song from the video game ;)
Great as always. You going to do sight of spira? Pleaaassseee
I remember deciding not to do that one, but I can't remember why.
Isn't it in the official piano collections already, and as a fairly faithful version?
@@TheSlowPianist sure it is, but I like watching the slow pianist! Its all good though, love the channel
Your arrangements are so good. How long does each part take on average?
The slowest bit is transcribing the original track, which consists of me sitting with headphones on, with a pencil and music paper, writing down everything I hear. The amount of time it takes depends on the complexity of the music and how many instruments are playing, but overall it takes a number of hours spread over multiple sessions.
Then I adapt what I have for piano, the priorities being:
Sounding like the original, or having the same essential musical ingredients
Being well-written for the piano
Having the same emotional impact as the original, or as close as I can manage
I can do this quite quickly, though again it depends on how well the track is already suited to pianistic rendition. I may have to find alternative solutions to some passages. Anything from ten minutes to an hour or two per track.
Then I notate it on a computer and print it - this is a fairly quick process and can be done in the evening when I'm tired, as it requires little decision making.
Practising / learning to play the piece - very quick; it's where I'm benefitting from my area of most experience and natural ability.
@@TheSlowPianist Any plans on releasing the transcription sheet music? These arrangements are wonderful.
@@nobodywilleverloveme When it's done I'll look into it; I'm just worried about copyright. I'd sell them openly if I could.
This man doing Spira work am I right
