Hey All. What do you think of our slightly altered format? What did you think of the sound quality? Let us know!
Hi, is that amp analog? Solidstage??? ...please let me know :) ...thanks
Philipp Pietruszka it’s a digital amp with modeling.
@@ThePedalGuy thank you! Im sad about that, am searching an analog SS amp with battery and 5 watt rms to 10watt! ...but thank you 😉👍
@@nichtimmer9134 just to be clear the amp has an analog input and is solid state. However, the overdrive and distortion are digital. That's what you can expect most of the time for amps that are this price point. Hope that helps clear up any confusion.
What do you mean "slightly altered"? I ve just bought this amp, I gigged with it once already, I will use it, it is ok but sadly it lacks of bass so unfortunately in this format is not the best in a one man band situation, even the mic channel is loud enough and no any equalizer option on it. I would not say it is too sturdy. Opening the back the feeling is like meh around the battery holder area. And look at the screws of the strap. In mine the 2 screws seem random: way too much longer than they should be, they are just from their neighbouring hardware store with quite ugly heads. I m wondering next time I take off the back and check I may have more bass out of it or should change the speaker?
im a fool for mini amps i like the sound of this one its the best small amp i ever purchased also the drummer addon is so cool
Hey how is it performing now?
''It's gonna make you a rock and roll star in no time''. I'm sold!
LOL excellent
I was looking for a review of this device and here You are again. Thank You so much. By the way I have written NUX about a recording option and we are corresponding now.
Thanks for sharing
Liked the format and sound. 👍
You should demonstrate all of the drum machine samples that are available on the amp, including Latin as that is even more prevalent than English.
Thank you for the suggestion. Wish I remembered my Spanish from high school. Boy would that have come in handy these days on YT. Our viewership would increase exponentially.
Good review: straight too it without so typical "showing off" that happens. AND major thumbs up for using a mic rather than quite common line out for demos... Almost anything sounds okay when line out... let's hear the speaker! (which you do...). I play at the beach... any drop off in volume when on batteries, or did you try that? Thanks
for distortion you need to turn off all the effects and leave only mod vibe: rate 80% depth 4% that kind of saves it the stock settings are just horrible
I tried it with the batteries and it made a very strange “digital noise”. Do you know if this is normal when they’re losing charge? Great review
Possibly. We’re the batteries fully charged?
Thanks for your video it really helps me !
Glad to hear
Another great review Pedal Guy! Can you adjust the volume of the backing tracks? And can you still use the app whilst bluetoothing in other backing tracks?
I think you should have tried this amp with a traditional strat or tell or maybe with a lespaul - and use the setups which imitate these famous sounds. That would be more convincing in terms of the quality and benefits of this little amp. Anyway I also bought this little toy - and I have not opened its box for a year (covid stepped in )
Thanks for the feedback. Hope you’re recovered from Covid
ty so much
You’re welcome
seeing there's no dedicated button on the amp itself for the bluetooth, that means people can 'hijack' the connectivity easily right?
Any harmonica players who have used this amp?
My sound output on “clean” is almost non existent. Strings themselves are almost audible on that setting. Overdrive and distortion is better but not outstanding. Any help most appreciated.
I have a question On the 8 watt model it has a second input for the MIC, and I've seen a video of a guy using it for a guitar and the sound was really good!!!! This 20 watt model does not have a microphone input, the question is: this 20 watt model also works for guitar ??? And does the software have the acoustic adjustments like in the Might air model? Because this is my question regarding the 2 models because I have the guitar and the guitar Another concern is that I only play classic rock with clean guitar just doing the rhythm without overdrive distortion etc. And also Smooth jazz Motown Funk The question is: would these 2 models 8 or 20 have a good timbre for this style of music???? Please answer me. Thanks, good work.
Mine is a hiss machine, unless you actively hold the lead in place.
You might need to reach out to NuX Support to see if warranty service is needed.
As this amp has Bluetooth, can I connect a Bluetooth transmitter from my guitar to the amp's Bluetooth?
No. It connects to your phone specifically. What you're looking for is the Mighty Air.
@@ThePedalGuy Thanks for the answer!
Where are the drum tracks
On the app
I'm really curious about the mic channel if it's going to work ok for singing I don't know why the mighty 20 and 40 don't have a mic input
Couldn’t tell you about the 20 and 40 but as I recall the mic input sounded decent on the 8bt
The 20 and 40bt are both home practicing amplifiers where the 8bt is designed more for busking and outdoor use hence the microphone input.
No built in tuner? Thanks.
Sorry, no tuner.
Does the bluetooth work with headphones too? I'm on a hunt for an affordable amp which I can connect my bluetooth headphones to.
Thanks for the question. Unfortunately no it doesn’t work that way.
Hi, i have bought the mighty 8bt but there is a problem with the distortion channel, sounds like a low gain sound, even put the gain maximum, do you know how to fix it?
Have you contacted NuX?
Same here, distortion channel aren't much distorted (lol). Also gain knob makes excessive idle noise even at two thirds
Just bought this little cube for home entertainment but im about to ask a refund
for some reason my distortion doesn't sound any different?
Not quite understanding you here.
USB port for what, can you record from the combo, like from a card?
For charging I believe
@@ThePedalGuy thanks
Do need use pedal effect ?
No pedals needed
If I wanna to get more great sound for overdrive & distortion, will you recommend what model of petal effect?
Hi, can you play the drum machine straight from the amp without the app?
Yes. There’s a button to start and stop the drum machine
The Pedal Guy Great thanks for coming back to me. With that and the mic input I’ll probably go for this over the lite or air
Is there any way of getting a straight metal tone from this amp? Maybe from using the app or something. In the market for a small amp with killer Tone but dont want to have to purchase a pedal also. Something along the lines of slayer/metallica
Thanks for the question. Absolutely you can get that tone.
Check out Fender Mustang LT
I got this. I have a problem getting an acdc close sound. Can You help with settings?
Thanks for the question. Well, that's a tough one. Basically, if you are using a Gibson type guitar with soapbar pickups, that's half the sound. The other half is just dialing in an EQ and overdrive from the amp that gives you that sound. I would also add in a little reverb and that should get you there.
I know that's a little vague but that's essentially the core of their tone.
@@ThePedalGuy Hey. I have a stratocaster with two Roswell pickups which can act as a single coil or a humbucker. As for controls one tone, one volume an of course switch for pickups. I am new to electric so I may not provide proper details....
@@ThePedalGuy I was trying to go for guidelines but there is no low high middle controls only tone. I am really struggling. I have borrowed line 6 Spider V mk2 model and I could get this sound as a preset even on my acoustic guitar. But I am not this press one button type. I want to understand how all of guitar controls and the amp ones work. But I am getting really frustrated and I want to have a starting point this is why I have asked
hi does the bluetooth functionality work similar to a bluetooth speaker? can i play music from spotify on my phone through the amp
you can play other sounds like youtube and also use other apps like fender tone that one has good drum sounds also
After pushing OD/DST button and getting back to clean my NUX loses it's gain (knob is full max) and need make adjustment (back/forward) to get clean sound fully back. Is this common issue or just my NUX has this behaviour?
You have to twiddle the knobs to update the amp when you change tones.
So, the ONLY things you can do with the phone (that you can't do from the amp itself) is
1. Play backing tracks
2. Store your settings
Is this correct???
And edit parameters on the amp, yes.
@@ThePedalGuy
Is "edit parameters" something that you CANNOT do using the knobs on the amp itself?
Sorry, I'm not fluent in amp lingo. 😬
@@mikec6733 you can do it with the amp or the app.
@@ThePedalGuy
Thank you very much.
I appreciate the help.
In your opinion, does this NUX Mighty 8 bt sound better than it's similarly priced competitors?
Somethings wrong with mine im new and it keeps buzzing i just bought it
Is there some thing I'm missing
I would suggest contacting NuX directly. It might be faulty.
@@ThePedalGuy thanks👍 found out it was the lead
Bro cleans are ok but the distortion xD
LOL
@@ThePedalGuy i know its cheap but must be bettet
@@r1coise68 fair enough. It sounds great.
@@ThePedalGuy not that good , Marshall is better
@@r1coise68 that’s fine. I’ll stick with the Mighty 8 👍
With that usb input, can i use this as an usb interface?
Thanks for the question. I’m afraid not. It doesn’t function that way.
do you have an idea what is it for? :/
@@CharlesNotBronson It's for updating the firmware.
See manual: v2sources.siiite.com//enclosure/sources/ottlDdkjvWSPnOym/NUX%20Mighty%208%20BT%20User%20Manual.pdf
Mine sounds box and harsh, i can honestly say i hate it,
Ok..
