I was just on the Daemoness site last night literally for the sole purpose of staring at this guitar - even just on VIDEO it's breathtaking. I hope you two continue these! Even just throwing a camera on you two (or Three if Teemu is there) casually talking shop and guitar-nerding out would be really fun and informative.

First watched this on the couch. Then motivated to get crackin and spent a good hour practising that first lick on 80, later 90bpm, moving it around and switching minor/major as fit.
Thanks Jari, that really gave me some inspiration for practising sweeping again :D

Does this technique also apply to longer sweep arpeggio runs you do?
Anyway, great lesson, for me its a refreshing way to break out of the usual "up and down" sweep arpeggios that can be easy to fall back on out of habit

I guess Jari is using those guitar midi vst tone sources to write, I aint gonna lie i am not even a guitar player and it gives me the chance to compose for guitar and have fun as a keyboard player and expand my songwriting viewpoint,i guess Jari uses it cause it saves time, instead of tracking an idea just program it and move on and judge later if its worthy of tracking it with the real guitar.
I disagree. As a guitar player, it is muuuch more efficient to just record it on the guitar. Especially because not everything written on keyboard translates well to guitar. When you're well accustomed with the guitar, there's no point in simulating guitar in midi, even for a demo/random riff you just came up with

@@keyboardcarrot I am a programming freak too :P (Check out my skyrim theme cover - the most recent video on my channel). But still, all the guitar ideas I prefer to record on a guitar. It's more efficient and faster

I've always thought it sounds as though he wrote the solo without any backing tracks in mind and figured out the arrangement to go along with the solo, rather than vice versa.

Asim plays games on his Twitch channel, a while back he played The Witcher 3 and is now playing Dark Souls 3. He also plays guitar every now and then on stream.
