- The late General Francis Omondi Ogolla will be remembered as the shortest serving chief of Defence Forces in the country so far, having taken over the leadership of the military on April 29th, 2023. President William Ruto's decision to appoint General Ogolla as Chief of Defence Forces came as a shocker to many following events that transpired at Bomas of Kenya where former IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati accused senior government officials including General Ogolla who served as vice chief of Defence Forces then, of trying to subvert the will of the people.

People suspecting this was not an accident, it is possible BUT I highly doubt a man of his caliber and expertise in matters security would have failed to know if someone was trying to harm him and take appropriate measures. CDF is not just an ordinary civilian.

How did a single Lieutenant General, or even a Major General miss an important KDF security duty attended by a CDF. In fact, a brigadier was the only senior officer after the CDF, which means, even Ogolla's PA who is usually a Major General failed to attend. I really don't want to insinuate anything but they are so many unanswered questions.
