If you start to lift the bottom pan at the thumb-nail slot you need only your hands. It's center of the dock connector. Flex the center up and the edges are freed.

Also does it have a feature where if you plug in a compatible charger but the rated amps exceeds what is supposed to be applied, the laptop won't power on, but can be reset? How much below the recommend amps can you go and the unit will still power on? I got a hold of an Precision 3530, have Dell charger that the barrel plug fits the port, V is correct, but the A on the charger is rated at 6.3 (?) & 19 / 19.5 V, & the laptop is supposed to have 19 / 19.5 & 4 / 4.5 A! I think I heard 2 or 3 beeps coming from the laptop but thought it was the charger! I unplugged the unit, but it still won't come on!
Order the black hd frame with three tabs for anchor screws. Order ribbon with the 90° turn in it. Use the 61 or 42Wh battery,( 3 cell or 2 cells). The 84Wh( fours cells) is in the 2.5 bay
the worst machine ever, had tons of hardware and driver issues with this machines like thermal throttling, heating, display broken twice, battery got inflated. I don´t want to start with all the driver issues I had with that machine
If you replace / refresh the thermal paste with a quality type, will that help? Are the seemingly high CPU temps on certain models? Can you power the unit on by using the USB - C port? Found a tossed out Precision 3530 (doesn't turn on). Thank you 🤓

i think its just an extra ram slot
no need to remove neither the display not the entire board for this. And there was no cleaning in the video

Yes, it does require adapter as it doesn't have direct sata socket

I was thinking about getting the Dell Latitude 3511 would you rather say thats a bad idea or are that two different systems?
