I didn’t get the results I was hoping for, but I still kinda like the outcome - color shift paint compensates for any flaws for me.😄 What is your favorite way to mix paint for the cloud effect?
They are both equally nice! The color shift paints look awesome 👍👍really metallicy pearlescent ☺️ I used to have a car painted like that but the color was orange and shifted into different shades and gold when the sun hit it... memories ☺️ Great to see you collaborating with Molly, if only Pouring Your Heart Out was included I'd have my original three together 🥰 Great video 👍👍
I think they both look amazing Olga !!! I love the color shift paints they are amazing. I used MelyDs cloud mix recipe that she originally made up .. it seems to work perfect for me & is very simple. As MelyD says "simple is best" lol. There are so many different mixes & changes that have been made to it and I have tried a few but i find her original mix works perfectly so i just went back to it and that's how i will always mix it from now on. Have you seen Fionas piece she did yesterday with the pearl paint ?? She got amazing results with it and it turned out beautifully, a new way to make the cloud effect. If you haven't seen it yet definitely check it out . She said she will be experimenting more with it but shes definitely off to a great start. I tried it but my mix was too thin but I did get some amazing lacing from it and it was very pretty. !!! Thank you for sharing this as always I love watching you experiment & pour . Always fun no matter what!!! 😜😜😜😜😜
It's great to see you also have moments when you are not too sure what to do...Not knowing where you wanted to put the satin enamel. But, voilá, the master you are...always having great results.
It was so interesting to see how you and Molly each interpreted the collaboration. I love the second pour you did. I agree, the softness was amazing in the colors. Beautiful.
Olga...I love them BOTH! Yes I am a beginner and have already bought so much paint. I spent so much money, I'm ready to faint. I had an awesome lesson IN PERSON with Molly 2 weeks ago! Molly is amazing and the most wonderful teacher you all should know! Yes! And so are you, though far away as I watch you on You Tube almost everyday! Your explanations on "how to do" are wonderful in every way. You and Tammy Anderson were the very first artists I watched who inspired me to begin this new awesome journey of art! I'm addicted! My only drawback is what to mix with what, and how much of what to what. So measurements are the key for me. And if you could include them in your descriptive I'd be as happy as can be. Thank you so much for being you and bringing out the very best in me of what I thought I could never do!😁😍🐇❣😎
Thank you so much for such amazing comment and feedback - means a lot 💜 yes, I will be sharing the ratio details more... But overall, this is the most confusing part at the beginning for everyone. Also, there is no right or wrong, each artist has own preferences. But I promise, you'll figure it out
Thank you Olga for your wonderful reply. With the thousands of viewers and the "likes" you get, I feel so honored to hear back you bet. I don't know how you find the time to do all that you do and reply back to all who follow you. What a wonderful community this art world is. At 72...and all alone, except for of course my parrot & doggie kids, Roxy & Bo, coming here to learn from you all has renewed a passion in me I thought gone... a long time ago. 😍🐇❣
I love Color Shift paint and the addition of satin enamel! You did exactly what I've been planning on doing. Both canvases are beautiful but I have to go with the first one. To get the cloud effect you really have to stretch your paint on the canvas and remove a lot of paint. I love this technique!
Both gorgeous. I had this happen to me to when using titanium white , something about that titanium is very heavy but when I used artist flow white with satin enamel I got a beautiful cloud frozen snow lake effect. I think it was 2 parts deco art satin and 1 part artist loft white flow . The flow paints in any color used with satin enamel make the best cloud or snow effects so far. I love all your work so much !
@@OlgaSoby perhaps one day I too can talk you into a colab! I have but a small channel I'm working to grow. So, it would be a fun and incredible challenge for me! 😉
Both are Beautiful but I like the Larger one just a little more. I love Color Shift Paints, pricey but beautiful paints to work with. Could tell me what size container you mixed your individual paints? How much total paint did you use and what is the size of the larger canvas? What was your ratio for your Color Shift paints with Floetrol? Sorry for all the questions but I am a Newbie so this info is valuable to me. Thank you so much Olga for another fantastic video. I loved this challenge you had with Molly, her pour was beautiful too. I noticed
I worked on 14x14 canvas and for how much paint to use - check out my Pouring Calculator 😉 smartartmaterials.com/acrylic-pouring-paint-calculator/ I mix generally 1 part of color shift with 1.5-2 part floetrol and a little water
I absolutely love both of your paintings however I prefer the big one because you added a color that wasn't color shift however it mixed with them enough that when you tilt the painting it goes from blue to purple 💗💗 💗
Both are really beautiful❣️ My favorite is the smaller one.😍 I tried the Satin Enamel several times but it didn’t work once... I think I really have to buy Floetrol...🤷🏼♀️ Kanella told me she uses Floetrol and Liquitex Pouring Medium with the Satin Enamel to get the clouds. Maybe you can try. Thanks for sharing your wonderful artwork.🙏🏼☺️
I like both of them. They both look amazing! And really beautiful!! I have a jar of the color shift paint. It's the black color shift. I've used a little of it. In a few paintings , one was abstract. And the other was a land scape I think. Well it's been a while since I've looked...lol I'll eventually get more color shift paint , different colors. That color changing glue I got. Added some with the paint. All it did was mix in the paint. Did'nt cause the paint to change in any way. Other than making it alitttle thicker. So , what I did was. Make a design on the canvas with the glue. Then paint in & around it. Walking outside in the sun. The glue did change from blue to purple , pretty cool. Also if you use a black light , it causes the color change.
The paints have an almost iridescent effect, in a subtle, non garish way. Being a newbie/fail expert😂🤫, I have nothing to contribute except for saying that I always enjoy watching your videos! Both canvases look gorgeous in their individual finishes. Tyfs.C🤷♀️🙃🐾🐾

Hi! Really nice .. btw sax acrylic it's Metallic paint?
no it's just regular paint
The color shift paints do seem to give a painting that added dimension..
Can you do these without floterol which is difficult to finf in Uk. 😢
Very Beautiful, I don't get the effect I want with that satin enamel either.
The softer one.
the second one with only colorshift and enamel
Do you prime your canvas
I buy pre-primed
What was the base coat mix? Please and thank you.
base color mixed the same way as the rest of the colors
The one with just color shift paint
I love the cloud effect.... I want to try it really bad but the white satin enamel is always sold out... LOL
Lol I hear ya! But it worth the hunt
Do not like the ultramarine. Leave that on the shelf. Color shift so good.
smaller one
i tried so many time but not that much good like u
