Good News For SpaceX, Bad News for Boeing Starliner...SpaceX Weekly #7
The recent successful static fire test on May 8 marks a significant milestone for SpaceX's Flight 5. After two previous attempts on May 7, recorded as cryogenic testing for the S30, the successful ignition has alleviated any concerns.
Good News For SpaceX, Bad News for Boeing Starliner...SpaceX Weekly #7
SpaceX's determination to conduct the static fire test remained steadfast, underscoring their commitment to ensuring the readiness of the S30. This successful test is a testament to their dedication to the mission's success.
The preparations for the static fire test on May 8 were meticulous, with the fuel loading process commencing around 10:45 am. As expected, the frost lines appeared, indicating that the liquid oxygen tank was fully loaded, mirroring the second attempt on May 7. Good News For SpaceX, Bad News for Boeing Starliner...SpaceX Weekly #7. Approximately 45 minutes later, the engine chill process initiated, marked by the appearance of venting streams below the test stand, signaling readiness for engine activation.
The static fire test on May 8 commenced officially around 11:58 am, with all six engines activated simultaneously, generating a thrust exceeding 1000 tons. The entire process lasted approximately 4 to 5 seconds. While the flame remained robust, observations noted a seemingly reduced intensity in the dispersion of dust compared to previous tests.

This long format session is fantastic. Great details, much appreciated! 😊

Tori Bruno (ULA) was quite clear the issue was the cycling life span of those LOX relief values you mentioned. Apparently the "buzzing valve(s)" was an indication of rapid and an unknown quantity of rapid partial valve cycles.
It seems apparent that further analysis of any valve's working life indicated that the valve's 'anticipated' remaining operational life could not support another 'quick turn around' launch sequence.
Consequently ULA must unstack the whole Atlas rocket in order to facilitate removal and replacement of the "buzzing" valve(s) in question. It's a ULA thing not a Boeing Starliner thing.
Hopefully Boeing has property secured all hatches, door plugs, etc. etc. prior to the next launch (sarcastic humor).
Yeah, they need to ensure safety before launching
เดินทางปลอดภัยค่ะทุกท่าน

Yes, back to back
Bless all those on the ISS - well trained and such great teams backing them up. It's slow-going atm, but let's crack this space-faring nut together - we're gonna need to. Once folks have been on the Moon and Mars for any period of time, the ideas of the Nation State will fade - it's HUMANITY we're representing.
How Boeing remains in business is beyond me
❤😂🎉 good news SpaceX

I saw it over the sky it was amazing
You da bestest ever my love

Starlink on planes over oceans is game changing. I just used it in Hawiian and game over... they win.
😯😯😯
Yes, back to back. Why does FAA play this game with Space X. Even if the first few ships ends up in the ocean, as soon as they can reuse the booster and starship that will be much less space garbage left in the ocean…. Compared to all of the other agencies/ companies….Please…. Seems like they are just trying to slow down Space X.
Hopefully, SpaceX can solve this challenge to ramp up Starship project
Mentioned is the 3D printed helmet, so I wrote "3D" in a document, printed it and.... just a piece of paper. Maybe I used the wrong font.
What was that FIRE bursting out the side? Rumours are that wiring was damaged due to the fire.
They announced ship 30 experienced an electrical problem.
@@timreed353 haha, yeah, electrical problem after the oxygen caught fire and exploded. hahahaha
Pumice has a melting temperature of 15,000 degrees Celsius. Might be the secret ingredient for a heat-resistant coating, or tile additive for durability. 🤔
It obviously needs the heat tiles reconfigured now. Pull em all off and slap em back on boys!
I will discuss about heatshield in next episode
What is a virtual tower?
We need to wait SpaceX updates
I need a space suit for my cat.
Lower quality, higher cost, longer time = unions??
I would love to see a couple of Starship launches in quick succession if Flight Four is relatively successful and doesn't have an accident investigation afterward. Here’s hoping Flight Four is successful!
♥️♥️♥️
Not another taxpayer penny to Boeing. We the taxpayers will not stand for this criminal activity anymore. As a matter of fact time to clean our government
It’s the circle of life… Boeing gives money to elected officials they vote for money given to Boeing… Boeing creates something that needs more time and money… government gives more money… beautiful isn’t it 👺☠️💩 😈
I wonder why SpaceX isn't launching Starlink satellites with its Starship launches. Reentry seems to be the only critical issue for Starship right now. Why not launch a few starlink satellites, or even a whole load of them.
The first three launches failed.
They need to focus more on landing task
@@deadrose007 No, the third launch succeeded except for the landings. You don't need landings to launch starlink satellites.
@@colonbina1 You don't need landings to launch starlink satellites.
Greed destroyed Boeing....always maintain professionalism over profit
I hope Boeing is checking all their doors. lol.
Boeing and NASA need to get out of the way and let the new Big Buck (SpaceX) take over. They have the gravitas, expertise, and the big shoulders necessary to get the job done. The others are pretenders.
So should they stop Starliner at this point?
Go Starship! Boeing makes serious mistakes in workmanship and management lack of QA on everything it builds whether it's starliner or the boeing 737 max. Stock prices are the most important thing to them.
Yeah, SpaceX will still lead the space race
Someone find another 1 billion to fix the problem. What say you FAA
They need to fig out a way goe a spray on heat shield sub i here are covered in a rubber coating ?
Leaving NASA and flat earthers in the dust.
See how wrong is designed a Boeing Starliner? Or may be it change.
The design is of 1970 or even earlier. They were forced to use old design and old equipmen parts. However, the new engineers had no clue about the inherent problems. They had to learn from the start.
I like your videos but your intro sound sounds like a crash. It's not a pleasant sound.
♥️♥️♥️
A look to the future... 2030. NASA BOARD. "Director Nelson, I've heard this Elon Musk owns a company called SpaceX, and he just landed a manned ship on Mars using his own money! Maybe we should contract with SpaceX since Starliner is still trying to send their first crew into space!" Nelson replies, " Forget Musk! He's just a flash in the pan. A shooting star. This 'SpaceX' company will never amount to much. NASA will stick with Boeing and Starliner and BlueMoon!" lol
😂😂😂, great imagination
Boing is suffering from DEI hires, and classical beaurocracy. Elon only hires and retains excellence, and embraces efficiency innovation.
I don't trust Star Liner! How good could the workmanship be when they filled the capsule with flammable materials from the beginning? I would hate to see a repeat of an incident like the one that killed Gus Grissom and his crew. I've got a bad feeling about this.
It will never beat SpaceX
I AM PRAYING FOR THOSE TWO ASTRONAUT'S SAFE RETURN !!!!!!
I WOULD NOT FLY ON THAT THING FOR ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY.
This episode asked for way too many different meanings the two values, the selection of either one precludes the selection of the other. This episode was also too redundant. It should have been cut to a single iteration of the news and limited to 15 minutes total length.
The FAA is making Starship more dangerous. Spacex Should have an experimental licence that allows many flights with a flight corridor and allows SpaceX the freedom to quickly fix problems and fly again no mishap unless the corridor was breached . The current system slows the process down and creates higher risks by changing the focus to the FAA not fixing the ship.
Yeah, I hope they can have a big change
This is bad news for the American Taxpayers. One of the first times Boeing has been held to a fixed price contract and they just can't do it. I also think it's hilarious that the FAA slows SpaceX down so much. Makes me wonder if they are artificially capping their progress so NASA, ULA, Boeing, etc don't look quite so behind.
Oh, that is absolutely what they are doing. It's all politics and lobbying done by entities like Boeing.
Because he bought Twitter
👍👍👍
Bezos did everything he could to slow or stop developing starship. He has alot of friends in congress and NASA.
S26 will be the orbital gas station for future HLS ops.
They will need horses so they will need horse space suits also? Space cowboy moon hey.

Yes, yes, no.
Thanks your huge support!!!!
This video seems to be biased.
Yawwwwwwwwn.
hhhh
How awful is that! Russia doesn’t even trust starliner!?🤦♂️ their like “yea we’ll wait for starliner 2” 😂 ouch!! But I don’t disagree, I feel like they’re putting the astronauts in jeopardy 🤷♂️ idk I just feel like Boeing has lost a lot of its credibility. It sucks cause their involved with some big companies and some big projects
I am sick and tired of trying to get this piece of 💩 to fly. Stop spending money on this thing. Like Elon said, we don’t need another capsule, but a reusable piece of equipment. Dragon 🐉 is all we need. This is not the first time they have had value problems. They never launch on time it’s always something wrong they have to fix.
From hindsight, It would have been nice if Elon had been allowed to continue development of the Red Dragon concept, which could have flown on falcon 9 super heavy. It could have obsoleted everything but Starship. Red Dragon was a complete capsule and lander system. Although it may not have been the final answer for Mars, it could have been ok for the Moon. But that might have competed with the SLS...

I like that idea 💡
