Hi Vasili. Parrots make my life very difficult in south Gippsland. 2 inventions I'd like to see; fake apples that explode when pecked robotic scarecrows that wander the garden yelling and shaking their fists at the sky. Keep up the good work, your videos are great!
Thank you very much for this video, I’m a bit slow but just wanted to ask , does this also prevent some bugs ? I’ve had issues with little bugs and pests eating my veggies and fruit. Birds are an issue to so if I can treat both at once with this netting that would be awesome. Thanks In and advance !
Hi Vasili, A couple of questions. What size and type poly pipe are you using? The one in the video seems quite rigid and has some strength. What size rebar (width) and what is the best length should be used for best support of the poly pipe.
@@vasilisgardenofficial HI Vasili, I used 25mm poly pipe and it did not work, it flopped down and does not stay upright in the beautiful arch. Any suggestions??
The problem we have here is the birds eat the plum flower buds so they'd need to be netted a while before the buds show, but maybe with netting large enough to let the bees in.
I was trying to duplicate this settings to cover my peach tree. But your description doesn't say what length rebar or poly pipe. I estimated, can I use garden stakes 84 inches or will they not be strong enough? Is 84 tall enough? 1/2 inch poly pipe? Great idea, thank you for posting a video. I have one peach tree and I am trying to protect the peaches, birds and bugs are eating them. Thanks!
I think it looks like 20mm rebar and 32mm poly (blue stripe) Go to Bunnings and find the rebar and take it to the poly in plumbing section and slide it inside to see if it’s snug.
The lenght depends on the size of your tree. You have to bury it into ground 1 to 2 feet depending how soft is your ground. I will use maybe 8 ft rebar minus 2 ft into ground. It maybe cheaper to buy long rebars and cut them than buying smaller pieces.
I had my fruit tree full off Golden delicious apples And the bloody birds nearly eat all I did put a net around it but they birds still got in what should I do next time can you tell me please

Thanks vasili ... this weekend project covered. Literally.

30mm poly pipe
Will 25mm poly work?
As long as you have a steak that will fit the pipe it should work.

@@judithmary8482 Try staking it in the middle to hold the pipe up and maybe use 32mm poly pipe
Is there a video showing how to put the netting on ????
Are you using greenline or blueline polypipe? (its hard to see which colour it is on my computer) and is that 20mm rebar?

Thanks bro!!
You must wear eye protection when you hammer steel on steel!

Will that netting stop fruit fly. I live in Queensland and fruit fly is an issue.
I want to see you get that netting over it, on your own :P

Maybe hang shinny objects like cd, mirrors, aluminum tape...
@@joaquinsuarez6090 things like aluminum only work on my tree for about 4 to 5 days before it no longer is scaring birds.
To be honest your apple trees don't look healthy.
