This pedal is my main rig lol! I use it in Dual mode with OD in front and a delay or I’ll use it in the preset browsing mode which allows me to use all 3 channels. I’ll put a clean…mid dirty and a lead channel with an outboard delay. That’s all you need!
Regardless its cheap and you want one even if for only being a back up amp. It fits in your pocket. You can't go wrong just throw in your case when your rig craps out.
Tonex One is me dipping my toe in the water. I bought it knowing that if I like it, I will purchase the big Tonex pedal and sell the Tonex One. I plan to use it in conjunction with my Helix, so midi control is a must.
For me, you nailed it when you said it’s like having a 2 channel amp. That’s all I need so for the price it’s great. Plus I can use it for practice, for my bass when needed etc. yes, midi would have been great, and if it meant being a standard Boss sized pedal I’d have preferred that. But I’ll live without it. This plus my HX Stomp is going to be a super portable rig. Now I just have to wait for it to arrive! Surely IK knew the demand would be enormous.
Hello! I wanted to know how to connect the Tonex One to the Hx Stomp? it works perfectly? Is it like you have an hx connected to the loop of a normal amplifier? I have a hotone ampero 2 and I wanted to buy a tonex one, I just don't know if it will work so I'm in doubt. Thank you!
I have the TONEX ONE and I use the same VOX/Matchless preset, and I love it. I also use the Fishman acoustic stuff on it, as well as an Ampeg SVT profile. I have a gig tomorrow where I'll have to switch to stomp mode between songs to use the Fishman acoustic profile, and I'm dreading it. The long press coupled with switching guitars is going to be hard to pull of quickly. Other than that, I now have some of the best electric tone I've ever had. I use it with my wet effects coming after it in the chain, and it would be perfect if I never had to switch instruments during my sets. I agree that midi would be awesome:)
My use case is just putting it on the floor at home as a practice amp (through headphones or monitors). Sometimes it's nice to have something you can turn on instantly for practice and have less interference from the PC. I had a Kemper a while back and sold it during hard times, it was great, but really paying 200-300 quid now for something comparable or even better you can't go wrong. Didn't think I'd have something that can compete with the Kemper again.
I have the big unit of the tonex. I will be buying two of these to act as my duo amps, I'll be able to use to big box ones for my gain pedals and be able to use MIDI
I had these concerns too, falling off the table included. There are also complaints about the durability of micro pedals, especialy the tiny pots wearing out. My biggest gripe is no stereo line output, thats ok though, you just have to buy two.....!
Good day sir! One question, can I use a tonex one together with a pedal like the hx stomp or the ampero stomp 2, so that the tonex one is the clean and the distortion, and the hx stomp or the ampero stomp 2 are just the effects? If your answer is yes, how should I connect them? (I saw your video of the hx stomp and the tonex pedal but since I'm new to fect pedals I don't know how it would be connected if it were the tonex one) Thank you!
Yo can but you won't be able to control the One via midi only the full unit. Nothing to stop you using it like a master volume amp or a w channel amp though. Why not set the one to be a just about clean and a crunchy but louder lead. You can then add gain as you wish from the stomp. I would still put it in the FX loop so teme and mud efx can go after the amp and anything gain related before. Or just use a single capture from the one and treat it like a pedal platform amp.
TONEX one with a cleanish and crunchier sound for 10 amps, into the boss katana effects return - quality preamps plus huge range of effects = great cross of variety in “amp” and effects for a bedroom rockstar like me who dabbles more in tone than someone of my questionable ability like me should
True. But the same thing applies for the drives as I mention in the video. You can get a lot of drive pedals for the price of a big Tonex. But if you capture the drives and amp together you can still just use the big one. Lots of combinations I guess. Personally. f I want to use a drive with it I just use a moddler to do the drive and Tonex for the amp. Works very well.
I'd use it as more of a backup cealn/crunch amp replacement for my amp or a simple fly rig. Don't see the point on using is as a stomp box. Those who have the bigger ToneX pedal O guess have more optio s in terms of setup considering the few more footswitches. Would argue that they don't really need this
After using it and setting it up wait a week then ask yourself what the colors mean? Ask a mate with the same pedal, he'll tell you he used blue on this amp and green on that. You say on your setup green was a different amp and you cannot remember what you called it. So you use the computer to find out what the setup is. Negating the small size as your computer is bigger than it. Then you forget what combination and hold does what. Too bad they didn't put a screen on it. In 3 months enjoy reading the honest reviews that tell you the interface is crap. These will end up discounted and competing with old zoom ms50g pedals that do have a screen and is easily controlled. You can make something too small and too clever to be useful in the real world.

The next iteration of the Tone x will be an app on your phone.
Big TONEX for your drives/ fuzz ,TONEX one for 2 amps

And where does your FX come from?
why you driving and looking at the camera
Cos' ee gota pretty face.
Hey Leon. when is your Kiesel guitar shipping?
I have it. It got a bit complicated but there will be a video telling the story soon.

Feel you have some Market Target confusion with the One...
Actually, you can go into three channel mode
The fact it has no MIDI is a dealbreaker for me
Being as it has USB can't they add midi via USB later
There's no Kemper PLAYER killer currently on the market.
