I enjoy your shovelhead videos. I've commented in previous videos that we share similar passions about working on our shovels. Glad yours awoke from a long winters nap. Ride safe.
Great videos. Just got myself back into a Harley after 54yr gap. I ran a 45 back in my teens. Being new to a Shovelhead, and delving into the primary drive your set of videos on that subject have been immensely helpful, many thanks. My clutch pushrod also pulls clean out from teh clutch side, nothing missing - it's an FLH 1974, Billet brakes front and rear. I too love 2cv's. Got a 1967 model.
From memory the tools mainly came from Ebay from a variety of sellers, but the sprocket nut wrench was out of stock everywhere for a time so I had to wait a bit for that one.
@@oldnutsgarage Thanks. I've searched and had to order from the States. Including shipping from Kansas it comes out to £44.06 - that's for the 1. 7/8ths tubular socket for the sprocket nut. The 1. 1/8th" & 1. 1/2" sockets I've sourced in the Uk in metric 28mm & 39mm. All the tool shops seem to have abandoned Imperial. Time to hit the car boot sales. The clutch withdrawal tool is evading me just now, maybe it'll just pop-off!
Clutch tool is on Ebay at the moment, seller babybiker1990 at £36.99 plus postage ( UK seller I have used before ). For imperial sockets I use Kennedy items, cheap and well made impact sockets also on Ebay and there is currently 1 UK seller for the 1 7/8th socket but you have already ordered that and they do sell out very quickly, the bigger size for the later bikes seems to be always available. Good luck with tearing it apart!
How many cities around you that you have to worry about ULEZ. How much extra planning does it cause when taking a trip. Good to see the garage again. Be safe and take care.
Hi Max, there is only Sheffield near me which has a zone at present, but that will no doubt change with time. Planning my European trips is slightly harder as they are springing up everywhere over there. Is it a big issue in the USA?
No, not anywhere that I know of, the only thing you got to watch here is toll roads which are easy enough to get around. But a bucket list trip from Stonehenge to Rome on a boxer/sidecar is being investigated. I really appreciate your channel, Thank You.
Welcome back, Mark. E10? I forgot to drain my mower for the winter... Stored in a damp metal box in my orchard. A few weeks ago gave it a yank, expecting nothing, and it started straight up and is running better than it ever did before. It hunted even straight out of the box... I can't explain it. I'm convinced that E10 is dreadful, but... 🤔👍
I must admit Bill that I was a little worried but the inside of the tank looked good as did the fuel and it started up and ran fine. Other videos on youtube show people struggling badly after a lay up so I suspect that the actual amount of ethanol in the petrol must vary by region / refinery?
I am sorry to near that anything on two wheels is charged any of these fees (which fees existence I’ve never even heard of until this very moment) let alone charged the same amount as for cars. Who comes up with these insane decisions? From Southern California ~ Ride Forever! 🇺🇸 🦅
Hi Mark Nice to see you back on the spanners!! More expense, good luck Steve.
More money pit motorcycles Steve, but it is an addiction I cannot shake!
@@oldnutsgarage Mark Tell me about It,My problem is getting the parts I need.

Brilliant, it is always great to hear from people with similar taste in bikes ( and cars ) and thanks for watching the videos!
@@oldnutsgarage Cheers, quick question: where did you source your clutch hub puller, and sprocket nut wrench from?

Stonehenge to Rome sounds good, go for it Max!

Southern California, you lucky man, no freezing cold winters like here in the North of England. Enjoy your bikes, be safe and thanks for watching!
Sir
What was the oil from that you showed leaking from bottom of bike.
thanks
It was the amount of engine oil that had drained into the case past the anti drain valve, it wet sumps quite badly.
