Sir i am facing the same issue and thought to apply the motor but the problem is whenever the rain comes electricity goes off even for several days sometimes. We do have inverter at our home, would it be sufficient to run the motor and if not what could be the solution other than digging a well
Use solar powered batteries to use energy at times of need or you can use portable generators.

the same problem here .... the solution is to merge the ground floor and the Ist floor ... this is the only solution for this type of old house but the house must be in an RCC pattern. this is how u can increase ur plinth level from the road level .... expensive but reliable solution
If home goes down from road level… why cant we change it into basement?
I am facing this problem right now. Our consultant told us to build a tunk under porch area and store water there, once rain stopped use a small motor to through that water out.
Rather than motor, you should go for sump pump.

This same problem is with our house. Our house was built in 74. That time it was 6 feet above road. Now it's road level. When it rains heavily washer come inside our rooms. Please guide what to do.

@@sridharakirani1519 just the bathroom should be above road level, our house is old, and road was built repeatedly and they raised the height, so we just built the bathroom at road height..
