  • Today I would like to have a closer look at the Euromex bScope microscope. I will be looking at the different parts of the microscope.

I like the review, but I feel there is something missing with this video and the review of the iScope. You are not giving an opinion about quality of the optics vs value for money - or comparing them to other brands.

Yeah, I'm deciding between this one and Amscope T720, which already comes with 5 objectives.

Hi what camera are you using with the bScope? I have the trinocular version myself and a Touptek Toupcam USB3.0 camera. I struggle a lot to get a homogenously focused image. Especially at lower magnifications, I get quite some vignetting and the field flatness is very bad, with the periphery of the FoV being very blurry. Any tips on what I might do wrong here?
Apart from that I can confirm its a really nice microscope and I am very happy with it so far!
    Thank you! :)

Difficult to say, could also be the adapter and/or the objectives (plan objectives would give a flat view). Work around is to crop the image.

@@MicrobehunterMicroscopy Thanks for the quick reply! :) I don't think it's the objectives as I already have the PLi objectives from Euromex, which are the plan objectives in their nomenclature right? I have the suspicion it is actually the adapter that came with the camera... Which is a pity because I was planning on mainly using the camera for overview images at low magnification. Another workaround I considered was using the higher magnification at which the field flatness is not so bad and do a tiled acquisition, although that would be quite a lot of manual work without a motorized stage. Or I might just buy a Euromex camera at some point, since I assume that would be more optimized to work with their systems. I saw you mounted a camera in your iScope review. Which one was that? :P

Hello, I have this microscope and have been very pleased with it so far. However, I just bought the CMEX-5PRO microscope camera and the image quality seems to be awful. I'm completely new to microscopes and cameras and I've tried reading the manual but can't seem to find anything that helps. The view through the microscope can be beautifully crisp but the camera view still lacks detail and definition. I was recommended that USB3 would have less delay than USB2 but the images are still burry if a nematode is moving around. I'm hoping to be able to identify nematodes and other soil biology but I don't see how that will be possible or why I have paid 500eur for such a camera. My phone camera quality is better but not accepted for the next part of the course I want to do. Do you have any recommendations for microscope camera's for looking at soil biology?

Thanks for the GREAT review! The slides are amazing! Quick unrelated question: can a good microscope like the one discussed be used to determine if one is prone to blood clots?

You asked who would steal the eye pieces, have you ever taught in a UK school? I’ve know several little rapscallions that would do exactly that. But it looks like a very nice microscope

Hi Oliver) why the compensating lens in CH40 is opaque (probably it mark as CH3-AL in catalogue), is it normal? is it the same for your microscope? and also, have you tried installing a G4 LED lamp instead of a halogen one? thank you!

My attachment lens for my CH40 (the one with the two screws for centering) is not opaque. And I have not installed LED. I have not tried the G4 LED, but will try it out.
