I am looking for a stereo zoom microscope, but not prepared to initially spend this much, any recommendations?

Bonjour Olivier. I have a question. You chose an Nexius Zoom EVO. What EVO gives you (compared to Nexius Zoom "non EVO") ? Is it just a zoom up to x55 (x45 for a "non "EVO"), or is there something more? Merci ! Pierre (from France)

You also get two 10x/22 eyepieces, where you get 10x/23 eyepieces with the EVO. I got both by accident from the shop I bought my NexiusZoom, but did not see ANY difference in view area when I compared them, so it could be just an advantage you get with the EVO.
What I don't understand is why the EVO has indents on the zoom-knob, while the non-EVO does not have indents...
Most noticeable difference is the bigger view area you get when set to the most 'wide' on the EVO, which is smaller on the non-EVO, which affects the maximum view you get when zoomed in all the way: the EVO may have a larger zoom-range, but in numbers, the non-EVO zooms in just a tad more.

The question then becomes this or an Olympus SZ51 ?

The site is poorly optimized, and takes a while to load, but should load eventually.
