Ah, Cat. He started out as a joke. And now he has become the channel mascot. Soon, he will take over the channel itself, because no matter how hard Bill tries, he can never escape the popularity of Cat.
A good way to make "custom" round shapes is to fill up a balloon to size and throw some paper mache or whatever on it. Once it hardens you can pop the ballon and you have your sphere or elipse, dome etc.
Good Hugo cameo. I can't quote him in the comments without getting flagged for spicy language. Also, I am struggling to read the sign in the background of your talking head shots, help me out: HUGO DON'T LIKE _____?
Incredible, Bill! As per usual! Man I honestly think my favorite part of this one is those fluid-filled vials being UV-cured angularly. At a angle, basically. Also, the "lore" stuff was actually a pretty interesting concept, not even gonna lie. Fantastic job!
50 episodes is a huge achievement, especially with the quality of your videos, can't wait to see it! This was such a cool concept, I saw the live stream with the gasquito- the final result is fantastic! All those tiny overlapping wire texture details are incredible, I can imagine that was quite tedious. Totally worth it though, what an amazing build~
Your channel inspire me so much whenever you upload it's pretty much the best time of the day. Also now that I have a job I can finally buy some good paint and stuff to make even better builds
Look at the size of that thing! Another great project and video 👌 So many great techniques and ideas on display! And all the while super entertaining :)
I wish i had the space to make things like this since i am currently writing down ideas for cave monsters. Visuals would be nice and probably add more to the description. Might as well share one idea so let me quickly tell you about the stalug, a slug-like creature with four absurdly long legs, it uses these legs to lift itself to the cave sealing and stands completely still until prey gets under it. Its slime hardens slightly to make the legs look like stalagmites and its mouth is located in the middle of the body, when it gets ready to attack the slime will start to run slightly before it drops its body on to its prey where it releases an acid to break the prey down to later suck it up. I think i had a bad dream when i came up with this thing but who knows.
I had an idea for a large toad that would hunt in packs by going into caves where bat like creatures are sleeping on the roof and then releasing a noxious gas that would rise up and kill the sleeping creatures and their bodies would fall to the floor
@@bh1352 Sounds really cool! Another idea i came up with was a giant blind ant that has a hardened spike on its chin that it uses to create soundwaves, which is how it "sees" what's around it. There's a little more to it, but that's the most interesting bit if you ask me.
I like the introduction of a truly villainous force on Junk Planet in the form of The Factory. I'm guessing that the Bead Bots are of human design and therefore enemies of The Factory's horde of organic machines as well?
I bet the moment where you started hiding the wires underneath the eva plating felt a bit odd, but it made so much sense. and it's cool to know it's there, even if you can't see the layer anymore. I admire your dedication you put into your builds.
You should make a robot city and make all your sponsers or patrons design a building for the city! Or maybe a farm with a giant mechanical scarecrow gaurdian!
i have stumbled upon your videos in the last week for the first time and i can tell you that it has become my comfort show immediately. I have shown 4 friends and all of them have become equally obsessed. Thank you so much for putting this out there into the universe and being so creative and real. can’t wait to binge all 73 episodes!
What an awesome bot! While you may make a lot of rusty robots, it certainly doesn't stop you from coming up with all sorts of unique ones. As much as covering all the wirework might feel like wasted effort, it was the right call. The layers work so well for varying up the look and I love how the plates then come up to protect the fluid containers.
I too have a compulsion to buy every single tiny vial and jar I find... I should make one of these to use them all. Love this robot. We are filled with a lot of fluid.
i have been going through some rough times with my art, bill. Your videos seriously got me back into art and crafting and from the bottom of my heart.... thank you
omg that's adorable! You now have official fan art for Cat. What started as a silly joke somehow becomes your mascot, isn't that always how you get cats? they just show up. Anyway this Gasquito buggobot looks so good, I really dig all that wire detail while you were building it, and those vials were the perfect detail to top it off. I just love how you bring your drawings to life.
you are largely responsible for me feeling confident enough to start a huge sculpt project making a ghost dragon mashup! Thanks for always making your craft seem accessible. Thank you for your example :)
Bill- I watch a lot of different channels on UA-cam. Your videos are without a doubt some of the most entertaining videos on here. Every time I see an alert for one of your videos I get a little thrill of excitement. Keep up the good work.
This is a super cool build, I already have a few ideas cause it. Your vids always manage to help me jumpstart new things, and the really cool wiring and use of the cheap dollar store bottles were really interesting. Also love seeing the Dan cameo, you’re both such talented creators
Im really digging the multiple layers between the wires and the plating. However, the color looks a bit unfinished, i'd recommend adding a few other colors in it (with a proper rust wash over them of course) to pop up the surface a bit. Other than that, who doesnt love a big mecha murder bug ? I know i like him.
We used to fidget with our Velcro straps. Or cover the soles of our shoes so it said well, one of the things we had was Gass shoes and it had they logo on the bottom, you figure out what letter we covered to make our classmates laugh.
You're so creative. I absolutely love your channel. We put YT on my big screen and my whole family watches your videos. Me, my husband, and my the kids. Keep it up💖✨️
Wow, episode 50 will be such a big dill, no doubt it'll be a bit of a pickle to come up with an idea for it... good thing you already got a website for it. Thanks, Squarespace.
love the monster...the way it's crouched forwards with all it's attention focussed on the little soldier it's caught is really creepy. hope u have fun at the workshop - hopefully they will put some pics of the event in a future issue.
8:59 "This Gasquiito is going to drinking him for everything is worth... you know... kind of like the way Games Workshop drinks you for every single last drop... you know..." POPOPOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! ahah good job about this! I got the message! :P Stopped GW about 7 years ago to turn my head to other miniatures (some free and/or Stl) and other games (some free)! I like that kind of satire of the "MAIN MINIATURE COMPANY!!" Love the video, got yourself a tumbs up, commentary and new subscriber! :P
Recently had this idea of having a bunch of Deep Sea diver folks, but they're miners, and the suits protect them from the extreme temps underground. Not sure how their Animal heads would make any sense though....🤔😂 Oh well maybe it doesn't have to. 🤝👍 Love every Build, and really enjoying the Lore.
I was devastated as the number of plates that went on just kept adding, covering up all your great work on organic wiring, but the end point is absolutely gorgeous - the metalwork and resin bottles look so good - the coloured liquids are really cool Registering complaint to cardboard PETA for sack threat, disclaimer or no; I hope cat family have a safe cubby hole in your workshop somewhere to thrive.
I'm curious at thinking that you've got a whole lore, history and goings on in this/your rusty greebly bot world/mythos. And I for one would play/read any games/books you publish ❤️
A visual treat for the eyes! Amazing layers of goodies on this one. Funny thing, I just came into a handful of glass jars and wanted to use them in a build. Inspiring, for sure! Love this one!
I just found you through Mechanical Fiend. I really low your way of crafting from scrap. Some of the other crafters will find whatever specific shaped thing fits in specific shaped spot and you just find whatever and make it do whatever. Makes the craft seem more approachable! I really loved the base shape you came up with this, it's a nice skeleton that could really be anything. I'm really loving the little bits I've heard about your world making. Giving me Horizon Zero Dawn vibes but like... robots won or something x3 Anyway! Super cool creature! I really loved the whole process!
8:45 "who doesn't need a couple of arms sticking out of their face?" That's why I started growing my mustache, but so far it's not been as useful as I was hoping.
be careful....some of those blue, shiny eggs could be 😳CAT EGGS😳 it's not widely known that cats hatch out of shiny plastic eggs. but if you've seen Alien it's basically like that..... just with cats. by next episode they will have you cocooned into your roof-space using that clear, dribbling fluid cats constantly produce
This creature is so cool. It came out great, love the lore. I would have loved to see how you made the base the gasquito sits on. Thanks for the great entertainment and BTW we love you ! Don't feel down!
Bill!!! My daughter and I are using scrap for a sculpture class project! We are collecting a lot of useful bits and some are unique as I work in the vet field and we make lots of interesting plastic trash. Can we mail some bits to you for your channel?

Soon???
Serious "I'm sorry, Bill" vibes going on with Cat. Keep him away from lasagna.
Should have left him without legs.
Who's Bill?
50th ep should be cat making stuff
You gotta love Bill for making beautiful textures and vein-art just so he can hide it behind plates.
A good way to make "custom" round shapes is to fill up a balloon to size and throw some paper mache or whatever on it. Once it hardens you can pop the ballon and you have your sphere or elipse, dome etc.
That's a very nice tip!
So that's why you borrowed my dunkin' sack?
Hellooo dan :)
Good Hugo cameo. I can't quote him in the comments without getting flagged for spicy language. Also, I am struggling to read the sign in the background of your talking head shots, help me out: HUGO DON'T LIKE _____?
Could be anything... just another bill making stuff mystery.
Love the containers with fluids! For similar projects imagine how cool it would be with a skeleton inside, like a half digested person!
Poor guardsman never stood a chance - excellent work Bill!
Thanks nick

Thank you mate!
Bill: sees Space Marine
Also Bill: Nekronn
God I recommend your videos even for friends who aren’t into war games or making terrain. You’re completely feral and make great pieces
In my head canon Bill lore, Cat curates the “fun facts”.

Love the lore behind the Gasquito and just loving all your builds! Looking forward to Episode 50.
The lore you build is amazing! Have you taught to compile your sketches and stories into a book? Like a fantwsy encyclopedia?
This is a great idea!
I'd buy that book in a heartbeat
@@gusthegremlinmaster saaammme, I'd love that
Yeah! Like how people do with cryptids

Ooh that’s gross. Good monster.
@@thekinginyellowmessiahofha6308 Thanks i thought it would be fitting for a cave dweller.

Aww, congrats to Cat for the growing family! The build is cool, too.

Your talent is insane Bill, not only you have crazy imagination but your execution is flawless.
I loooove this approach. The idea of robots building themselves and the weird natural selection that would result is incredible.
I feel as if i’ve crawled up from under his desk and am just peeking over the corner from the way he’s positioned his camera.
You should make a robot city and make all your sponsers or patrons design a building for the city!

Your creativity is something to aspire to. I come away from every video with a new thing to try and work into my own hobby.
Loving this one, Bill. The lore, the build, all of it (even Cat, but don't you dare tell him). Never stop making stuff.
Hugo's guest commentary was much appreciated.
Your videos are always massively entertaining, not only the crafting but all this weird humour around it. Fun fact: I like the last fun fact the most.
I’m sure publishing a sketch book might be too personal
But
I’m sure I’m not the only person who would love a bill making stuff coloring book
plumbing supplies are great for round shapes too - the PVC plus how they are designed to go together and almost cheap enough :)

I'm genuinely so confused and amused by Dan Does. I'm beginning to wonder if he's just a fever dream I'm having.
I really like the detail on this one Bill. Congratulations on the invitation to do a workshop, that is awesome!
0:35 that's the funnest fact I've ever heard
it's the commentary and creativity that makes this channel.

A beautiful story of love and parenthood. And also a build video, but Cat's family are the real MVPs here, lbr.
Bed time stories with Bill are terrifying 😰
it is very clear dan is your brother you have the same kind of humor
I think it'd be really cool to eventually see that factory made in minature, plastic, rusty, glory
Fantastic, Maestro. One of your best videos and builds!
Congrats on the gig in Manchester! It's a bit of a drive from Canada, so I'm sad to miss it, but all the best!

Looking forward to your eventual tour of the colonies…Adepticon, Las Vegas Open, Gencon, etc.
I feel like “make a sphere” would be a good patreon challenge
I'm starting to think Bill likes making rusty things... Well done, sir! The wiring loops look great.
Love it. Best. Proboscis. Ever. (My Grandmother literally had those placemats ....)
When I heard "Gasquito" my mind immediately went "this seems like some sort of Gaslands raid boss" and I like that idea
I personally love hearing the lore in these videos. Adds to the whole experience
The Gasquito has some Wastelands / Matrix vibes, and the base looks awesome!
I always love to watch a new Episode before I go to sleep. Also more of Dan does, he has good ideas fr

Gasquito looks REALLY cool. I'd be nervous about using glass in a mini though, I'd constantly be worried about breaking it.
You make it look so easy and they always turn out awesome. I would like some of your brilliance, please.

Excellent build, love all the details. I know they must have taken forever but it looks amazing.
I love how you make bases! they always look so perfectly tailored (obviously, I suppose) but they are really unique!
Amazing. First i liked it at the most before you put all the layers of plates on.
