  • Hello PluginIndia Community,
We think it's time communicate this to you, as you may be wondering why there are no videos recently.
The PluginIndia team has decided to move on to other things after working on the platform and the community for more than 10 years. While we may move on, the platform will continue to be nurtured by new EV owners. We are discussing with the new owners and working on a transition plan. While this happens, there will be no content in the following weeks.
Rest assured, the new owners will keep the community focus of the channel but are free to take the channel in the direction they want. Of course, it will continue to an Electric Vehicle channel with strong focus on community and the EV Industry.
PluginIndia was always run like a community platform and we were only a temporary custodian of this fantastic project. It is time for a different direction, better creative ideas and leadership. We will plan a Goodbye LiveStream and introduce our new owners too.

Do join us for one last time. ? - Farah, Raphae, Kamlesh, Abhishek, Amit, Abhishek Mane, Sia

bid adieu PlugInIndia team!! you guys really did great work toward providing valuable information around the EV in India. Last year, we the help of your EV scooter recommendation we got the Benling for my dad. He is really happy with it and enjoys it every day without the tension of fuel prices and visiting the fuel station. Again thanks a lot for providing us with such a great platform and valuable videos. I hope EV owners will take PlugInIndia to the next level 🤗

thank god , its the name of the vedio as u should be a automobile enthusiast rather than just focus on the ev sector s even the legend companies not even shifted toward the EV why to be so limited towards this. But rest aside to run a channel is hand off good work good

Pluginindia needs to advertise trains that run under wires. they are the most common EVs to get around.

*Vande Bharat is a MASSIVE EV MOMENT* ... they will replace every single Diesel Engine in India... it's massive

@@PlugInCaroo yes Vande Bharat Express is an epitome of energy efficient fast transport. But we also need an alternative when electricity is not directly available....you must read about the incident on Puri Howrah Vande Bharat Express that happened near Baitarani Road rail bridge during a thunderstorm. In such a case a diesel guzzler was allotted to rescue the train. All it took was the snapping of the contact wire due to the thunderstorm and now the train would not move an inch without electricity.
Although battery trains are now coming up in the West, (read about British Rail Class 230 D-train), the batteries have not reached a high volumetric and gravimetric energy density yet, so the trains cannot run on batteries alone. You need some cheaper alternative here. This is why India is working on hydrogen powered trains, when hydrogen is sourced from sustainable means, then only diesels can be replaced truly.

@@AnubhabKundu Hydrogen-powered trains would be great! I am fully supportive of hydrogen replacing oil in planes, trains, and ships. I think this will happen over the next 20 to 30 years. As for Vande Bharat, they seem like an extravagance to me. I'm not saying we shouldn't have them. I'd love one for my Bombay to Mangalore route, but I would also be happy with upgraded rakes and new train tracks. Apparently, some of them haven't been replaced since independence.

@@abhiu2398 bangalore does have a few Vande Bharats. One recently launched is Bangalore to Hubbali. With 8 coach VB. You probably do not know we are already travelling in electric trains on a regular basis. Take the electrified routes in Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, etc for example. We have Local trains that are carefreely electric. Bangalore is recovering from diesel fever, which is what you can track from a youtube channel, called "Natarajan C" . He updates the details of his journeys in this channel, and has shown a Janshatabdi express make the switch to an oil free running as it had a traction switch recently from diesel to electric.

I was aware, actually! Growing up in Bombay, the local was the city's pride and joy (even if we made a vocation out of complaining about it 😂).
I travelled in the Delhi Metro in 2007 and was blown away. I couldn't wait to have it in Bombay. Anything that reduces 2 or 3 wheeler dependency in that city is great.
I had also gone to Calcutta in 2015 to see the Durga pujo festivities, but I couldn't get to ride the famous trams unfortunately. Those are another trusty form of transport that could do with a major upgrade.
By the way, the Mangalore Express and Matsyagandha, both of which go to Mangalore from Bombay, recently went electric in December 2022. That took me by surprise because I haven't travelled by train in over a year. I'm looking forward to taking one of the two at some point. One hurdle is the lack of first class compartments. I like my privacy and peace and quiet, so I end up taking the Duronto or Trivandrum Express a lot of the time.
I do wish Indian Railways would advertise. Those men and women do good work and bind the country together, but they remain unwept and unsung.

*Looks like you guys are on to something big... else I cannot imagine Kamlesh giving away control of PlugInIndia... hahahha*
PlugInIndia has done amazing work in creating awareness among people about EVs... you guys created great content and gathered a lot of information and built a great community.
Kamlesh was so passionate about Electric Cars... just electric cars... not solar power... not biogas... not renewable energy... just Electric Cars... to such an extent that it seemed that he was sent from Mahindra... tasked to promote its Electric Car...E2O... hahaha.
*But creating content WHEN NOTHING EXISTED... except E20 & a few chinese scooters... hahaha... that was a bloody task* ... the era of 3G when UA-cam was just being accessed by a lot less folks than today. It was only after 2017 when Jio entered the market with 4G that UA-cam really took off in India and started to reach the masses.
The best thing about PlugInIndia was that it FOCUSED ONLY on Indian EVs... unlike other blogs that spew out only Tesla & Elon Musk info.
I truly believe India LOST ITS ELECTRIC REVOLUTION... the day Chetan Maini sold Reva to Mahindra...It changed Indian EV History FOREVER... Those petrolHeads at M&M seems to have shut it down as an electric car. I can ONLY equate it to fall of Jhansi in 1856. It was a similar and colossal loss... not only for EV but also for India. It took another 90 yrs for us to regain Independence. India was on the cusp of leading the EV Revolution... had Chetain manufactured E2O things would have been completely different... see even the dashboard was so much ahead of its time... Chetan was providing door step service... which doesnt exist even today... Man... he made so many versions of GWiz... it was so awesome... If only Chetan had done 2Wheelers instead of the car he would have become a world leader in Electric 2Wheelers.
*If China had not created that border issue with India... we would have become complacent and China would have completely dominated Indian EV market.*
We might perhaps get back to lead EV sector... maybe in 25years from now? But this is ONE battle India lost because Chetan was EXPORTING electric cars when Elon was NOT even making Tesla cars... everybody who bought GWiz was crazy about it... NEVER seen that kind of passion and that kind of perfection in an Indian product yet...that was the difference.
GWiz was our iPhone moment... and we lost it... we sold it to a dumb company which did not understand its importance... imagine if Steve Jobs had sold iPhone to IBM and they put it in a locker and forgot about it and never manufactured it? That's exactly what Mahindra did... on top of that... they even tried to manufacture eScooters... like GenZe in US. These dumb Mahindra guys used to sell manual transmission SUV's in regions where only automatic transmission are used. . had they tired to make GenZe in India it would have sold... but they wanted to make in America.
As for you guys.. you guys did excellent work with what little was out there... but a LOT of companies profited from this awareness, enthusiasm & passion WITHOUT creating ANY REAL change... EXCEPT for ATHER (and to a certain extent OLA) there are no PROPER EV company in India today...
these eSooter companies peddle the same (but now upgraded) Chinese products... many were caught claiming FAME2 subsidy on that... even TATA till date do not make ANY EVs it just swaps the electric kit into its ICE model, every other part is the same.
*Ather after 10yrs is still struggling to lead* (in spite of the competition being riddled with inferior products & customer service) ... and YET refusing to change or make other vehicle other than a scooter... wonder how many more version of the same vehicle will it launch?
*Ather also seems to have taken an unwavering PLEDGE that they will ONLY make scooter that CONSUME DATA* ... That they will make ONLY FAST SCOOTERS... They will not make trike... They will not make "motorcycle" design... they will not make portable battery...
When people blog about required change they see it as a threat...they keep sending their PR staff to the website to argue/ justify why they use fixed battery etc.
When will they grow up? Within 1 year Ola has lapped them... India is lucky that EVs are not the interest of western auto brands else even that advantage we would have lost.
Most of the BIG brands are doing "technical collaboration" with western countries EVEN today... is this MISSILE TECHNOLOGY? ... its the same technology used in an electric fan... and they want collaboration... meaning they do not know anything about R&D and manufacturing?
Where is Mahindra's EV? Mahindra's GenZe?
    Where is Okinawa?
    Where is PureEV?
    Where is Hero Electric?
*So what changed in the last decade? as for manufacturing companies... nothing... except Ather... and to a certain extent OLA... nothing changed!!!*
As for Ola the less said the better... its SINGLE ARMED "front fork" is a disaster... can't believe an engineer built this... even cycles have better and longer STEEL joint where fork meets the shaft... and he uses aluminium... how difficult it is? The ONLY point on the scooter which takes the greatest stress, you make with aluminium? He fixed this in Ola Air... but is that not TOO LATE... after SO MANY ACCIDENTS? But they are spreading the EV produce fastest... They will surely iron out their issues as time progress...
*But yes... the journey you guys took up was great, didn't loose focus, you guys traveled a lot to get the stories! Truly Amazing! And quite unbelievable indeed!!!*
*May the power be with you guys in all future ventures*

*In continuation to my post below... the question also remains how do we as a community BENEFIT by supporting Clean Energy companies?* There is opportunity for the community to benefit by supporting GENUINE EV companies. By genuine I mean NON-ICE companies... or companies who have no interest in sale of ICE vehicles... I don't want to be more specific... you can make your own judgement...
*Companies like OLA & Ather will try to list on the Stock Market with an IPO* ... make sure you are there to apply for it when it comes. *You will need a Demat Account for you to apply for IPO. Apply for Demat ASAP* (especially PlugInIndia team... don't miss this opportuinity) Ola is expected to go for IPO between Oct-Dec 2023. Ather might IPO in 2024. Bounce eScooter might IPO in between 2024-2025. If you get these stocks make sure you hold it at least for 10 yrs if not a lifetime...
These companies need your support ... ICE vehicle makers are PRETENDING to make EVs while new companies are outselling established players... so support such new companies... and not just for clean air...
JBM Auto & Olectra Greentech are such companies... 2 years ago I suggested many to buy the shares at Rs 250 ... today they are approx Rs1,400 each. (3L invested could have been 15L in just 2yrs).
We at PlugInCaroo dot com lists good Green Energy Companies under "GREEN STOCKS" section for long term (5 to 10yrs) holding.
*And for those GENERATION who DO NOT HAVE DEMAT account PLEASE get it made as soon as possible... don't put more than 30% of your money in FDs.* ... FD's are Fool's Deposit because it gives you the lowest rate of returns... and even 1% BELOW the rate of real Inflation. (FD, Gold & Real Estate double in 10 yrs... Good Stocks grow by 10x in 10 yrs. Eg: 1L in Minda could have got you 1cr in 10 yrs).
So START ASAP to INVEST in the best companies in Stock Market... these Green Energy companies are going to grow at an unimaginable rate. (I said INVEST ... for long term 10yrs ... not TRADE intraday/short term trading/F&O... people who trade give away their MONEY).
*If you don't know how to invest in Stock Market ... it is very easy to learn... you can learn it from youtube videos IN A DAY* ... google search "EnlightCBSE How to invest in Stock Market - EARN WHILE YOU LEARN"
