Can you tell me a little more about your motor mounts. I'm looking to put a 6bt in my 80 series eventually, but everything I've read people are making custom mounts. Also you talk about the custom "rail" to relocate the accessories. Are you speaking of the one from allmaras out of Oregon?
Yup that’s the one I have on my 80 now. Not fun dealing with that guy. I got my motor mounts from Adventure Vehicles NW adventurevehiclesnw.com They also have the accessory rail in an all steel version. Check out Jonesy’s Auto Club on UA-cam. They just released a video about it. You will also see their build of my 80 since it was done there.
Is there a difference in with of the frame between 70 and 80 series? I'm looking into getting a PZJ75 and dropping a 6BT in it. Are the axles interchangeable between 70 and 80 besides the coils vs leafs upfront?
70 and 80 series frames are totally different. The 80 is coil springs and most 70s are front and rear leaf springs, except for the newer ones which are front coil. 80 series axles are wider than 70. It would be interested to see how a 6bt sits on a 70 series frame. I like the 80 series coil springs so thats one reason why I went for chassis swap.

Yup. No frame modifications. The engine mounts were custom made by www.adventurevehiclesnw.com.
I am going to build a Hj47 cab on a 80 chassis with a 6bt
