It's interesting that except for Xinyan, we have some sort of guide in the character's domains, which i think is the representation of people who helped guide them to be who they are now. Kazuha has electro seelie (his dead electro user friend?), mona has star (her master?), and fischl the narration of her favorite story (the narrator sounds like Oz idk). Maybe Xinyan doesnt have those guides because she is the one leading herself to the path she wanted. Well there are the red and blue flower, but they're more like puzzle since we are technically also helping them solve their problem. Also, aside from the flower, she seems to be the one guiding/helping people, like the children we met and people who told her off.
You have similar thoughts to mine. You see, Kazuha, Fischl, and Mona have their own inner conflicts, thus they need guidances. Xinyan on the other hand is very clear about herself, and very open-minded of her surroundings and how to deal with problems and challenges. Xinyan doesn't need help, but instead she help others (those red and blue flowers) achieving what they want. And since all those mirages were created and customized by the owner of the voice (presumably Kusanali), the theory of the rainforest of Sumeru is a big mirage does make some sense now. And 'The Withering' is probably the power that weaken Kusanali's power, hence the rainforest declining gradually. Atleast imo.
@@budokpantai that do seems makes sense. Xinyan's domain also the only one full of plants. Since the flowers ask us to help rehydrate* themselves, maybe in Sumeru we will also solve The Withering by securing a waterway or something. Edit: dehydrate -> rehydrate. Thanks for @Gabriela Batista for correcting me
@@yama8124 rehydrate*. Dehydrate is when you're dry and without water. My bad for being the grammar nazi here but this one was bugging me a hit '^' dunno if it was your autocorrect or what. Also, I like your theory. Since HoYo like to use events to test mechanics they'll use on following regions (like the waverider on the first appearance of the GAA in 1.6), it's possible that we'll get this water flow mechanic in some quest in Sumeru.
@@tristanmanalo6252 you bring up an interesting point. While the archons don’t actually grant visions, can they identify someone by sending the vision? Like, does Venti know nearly everything about everyone from Monstadt? Zhongli does..
5:08 - YES, Hydro is definetely not water. Just check the Hydro Slime description in the Archive. Hydro Slimes can be used in rare cases by the adventurers to restore water, however they are getting poisoned and ill due to the intoxication of the amount of Hydro in Slimes. That basically reveals that some Hydro is in the water everywhere, however, it is a different substance from water "A small monster created by the sedimentation of Hydro dispersed throughout nature. Legend has it that some people would use Hydro Slimes as an emergency water source, packing them in preparation for travels through dry regions or deep domains. But due to the high concentration of Hydro within these slimes, direct ingestion is, in fact, harmful to the human body."
The thing is tho, while yes, hydro slimes cannot be ingested directly because it is harmful to the human body there is a real life explanation to that. Water poisoning is a thing wherein you drink too much water the sodium part of your blood becomes diluted making you ill and be poisoned from the water. The water slime has high concentration of hydro(water) within them makes so that anyone who directly ingested that said hydro they'll be harmed by it which I believe is a case of water poisoning.
8:08 I wouldn’t say that that Mona’s alt-sprint is non-canon but more so that the Traveler’s quip was a ludonarrative poke at the 4th wall, hence Mona calling it nonsense. Other gacha games have been doing this where the MC is just aware of EVERYTHING, and this is one of my favorite jokes so far.
It's probably canon but like in-game the alt sprints are terrible. It often get stuck, it can't even pass through a boulders. So how would it pass a locked door.
Just one point: It's not "arrogance", but 'arrogation', which means "to take or claim for oneself without right". In that context, Celestia thinks that mankind had access to something that they shouldn't have, resulting in the destruction of Kaenriah. Great video!
8:09 I don't think its non-canon since the Traveler did bring it up in a canon story. Rather it's that Mona's alternate sprint cannot slip through doors because she's not actually becoming water.
Agreed. I don't think its she doesn't actually do it, its just it won't let her go through a locked door and she's mad at us for trying to suggest it when we probably know that already lol
@@matt1130 Well of course cuz even in canon gameplay Mona and Ayaka's alt print often stuck in blocked path. So, how would it pass through to a locked door when it can't even pass small boulder in-game.
I assumed she called it "nonsense" in the sense of "No, that's stupid". Or because it most likely wouldnt work in this situation, or maybe she can't slip under such a tight space.
My dude, you have no idea how ecstatic I was during Xinyan's mirage when Xiangling mentioned Kun Jun. Truly, when the game gives you continuity it's really something~
One of my most favorite facts on this list are on the ones that weren't actually in the event like: Ayato, Alice, Xiangling/Yunjin it gives a lot more depth to their personalities and shows that each Character is interconnected in their own ways
Well it is confirmed that Alice and Klee's race has a veeeeeeery long lifespan (based on the final dialogue in the first Summer Island Event where you hear Alice's voice as she congratulates and thanks you) so she probably just isn't that old for their race
@@Nara_Sugus would be nice but looks too much unlike Klee buuuuuuuuuut maybe she is going to be the pyro archon or stuff xD (I'm sadly not familiar with impact out of Genshin since mihoyo is stupid and doesn't release the other games outside phone -_-) but as far as i read up she was a Herrscher and somewhat related to flames and as far as i know the other archons resembled other Herrscher as well
15:26 I heard her voice and re watched the pv, definitely Kusanali's voice what is interesting though 1. the talk about god that governs over mirages and dreams 2. Kusanali referring herself as moon to the sun, moon reflects the sun, reflection. moon, definitely has stuff to do with dreams, hallucinations and stuff like that 3. what if she really is not really the dendro archon, but just a mirage, an afterimage of the real dendro archon 4. talking about dreams, interesting that sumeru is known for its citizens that does not dream the more they grow up, what if there's something like a dream eater stuff working behind the scene of sumeru, like dream in exchange for knowledge maybe related to the wilting / corruption phenomena whew, for a side mission area there's a huge dump of lore and puzzles in the summer odyssey. like they have another set of puzzles after you finished the main puzzles, damn
@@genshinsage tbh, me too, me too as someone that is more like just get it done over with , my god the puzzles feels like forever, so many puzzles it's nice usually, but if it's 4 layers of puzzles all in one event, boy, is sumeru really gonna need high IQ , and this is the teaser lol Akademia needs smart travelers lol
The event had it all covered to show some details to us all...Kazuha's past with his family and the electro seelie that features his friend, Xinyan's music and showing her hair down, Fischl's inner conflicts and her realm that has similarities with Mondstadt and Mona's troubles that she overcame later to become what she is now...not to mention that even the waverider has its own lore that almost made me tear a bit in the end...
Regarding 5:10 (tracing Hydro) - yes, it is canon that Hydro element is different from normal water. In Hydro Slime’s archive description, we learn that adventurers are advised against using Hydro Slimes as a source of drinking water, because consuming too much Hydro element is harmful to human bodies. I guess it’s safe to assume all elements work the same way (Electro =/= usual electricity, Pyro =/= usual fire, etc)
Based on that slime description I would just assume it is pure water (like destilled water) as that is also harmful if you drink it. A more concrete proof would be the item from the hydro hypostasis, but that could also be different just because a hypostasis is "elemental energy that has lost its original form" (map description anemo hypostasis).
I dont think water is very different from hydro element as water themselves apply hydro when you touch it. But perhaps the hydro traces and water are slightly different in some ways. Maybe the traces that we are following are just crystallized form of hydro (hence forming the 'blinks') and not liquid form of hydro(water)
Remember that genshin elements are more of a magic-like substances. So hydro properties might not be like what you think it should be in real life(water)
Water and hydro are completely different things, water is just plain water, but hydro is water with elemental energy, if you see the the description of hydro slimes, you'll see that they're condensed elemental beings originated from their respective elemental energy
Yeah, hydro is a difference substance from water. Check the Hydro Slime descriptuon in the Archive. A small monster created by the sedimentation of Hydro dispersed throughout nature. Legend has it that some people would use Hydro Slimes as an emergency water source, packing them in preparation for travels through dry regions or deep domains. But due to the high concentration of Hydro within these slimes, direct ingestion is, in fact, harmful to the human body. So basically it consists water, but the high concentration of Hydro making it impossible to drink without harm.
Its good to know at least about the Witches part like Mona, Lisa, and Signora, as for the Fair Lady she also gets to be considered as a talented witch if we’re going to talk about their pointy Witches’ Hat because of the Crimson Witch artifact set!!
I imagine the “strong willpower” the voice refers to is similar to the strong ambition that grants one a vision. So it’s not necessarily that the Fatui are weak-willed but that vision wielders are extraordinarily ambitious. That’s how I look at it, at least.
Before this event was released, I have heard that things like lightning and water in genshin only have small amounts of their respective elements, which could be the reason why they could trace hydro in the air near water. It also explains hydro looking a lot more vibrant than water, and lightning looking light blue instead of lilac.
I disliked that Mona's domain didn't have a narrative, but I loved what it told us about her (especially the part about "miracles"). 1)Her relation with Astrology is very interesting. Astrology is Mona's passion, and we learn that one of the reasons why she picked it is that she wanted to help others do well in life (the other being a desire to learn the truth of the world). However, Mona has been miserable for a long time because of it--and not just in the sense that people shunned her, but in that having the tools to foresee the future, but also knowing that you can't do anything to change it, defeats one of her goals in picking up astrology, and is a surefire way to find misery. And Mona has indeed felt helpless for a long time, because of what astrology told her about the future. The beauty in Mona's domain is the stark contrast between the bleak worldview of astrology, and Mona maintaining a romantic side, a sense of wonder, and a rooted kindness despite it. She's lowkey rebeling to the idea that fate is fixed, and has now chosen to not only be an observer, but act and protect people's future, because that's the life purpose that she chose for herself--even if might be useless. That's the whole point behind the lines about miracles: if things like the meeting of two specific stars far apart, can happen, who's to say other "miracles" can't? Even if they can't escape "fate", people like that doomed adventurer will still go on with the purpose they have chosen, and Mona must do the same. So far this theme has been fairly unique to her: finding your own purpose in a universe that doesn't seem to allow any, and it's pretty beautiful. IMO, it's also further foreshadowing for Genshins's theme that we have seen so far: people taking back their future from the gods or other supernatural factors. 2)Mona being prideful is more of a facade. She's rather insecure (when it comes to anything that doesn't relate to her craft) and easily embarrassed, and a bit of a goofball deep inside. That was already establihed before, but we now know why: she's always trying to appear proud and dignified, probably because she wants to help people with the truths she reveals, and tries to be as "important" as she can to get people to actually listen to her. Makes sense, because one of her two main struggles is that people shunned and downplayed her due to the bad stuff she saw in her divinations. So, she now believes she must be a striking chatacter in order to be listened, and for others to accept her advice.
@@aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.. Thanks. Mona always sounded like there was a lot more to her than what's on the surface. Even with these new reveals, it still seems that she has more to tell us. She's been my fave since we met her in the 1.1 event, precisely for this feeling of mystery that she gives off. It's not the "intriguing" (see Yelan) or "unsettling" (see Albedo) kind of mystery, it's colored with this magical/hopeful tint that makes Mona fairly unique with this combo (only other character with a similar feeling that comes to mind is Venti, though his being hopeful can often sound like deflecting rather than real hope). Maybe Kusanali will give off a similar feeling. Idk, I just love characters who look like they have gone through a lot, or like they know a lot of terrible truths, but can keep genuinely dedicating themselves to something beautiful. Not as a distraction from the bad/meaninglessness but, like, as a revolt against it: "yes, the world is absurd, but that doesn't mean we should let that dictate what we experience, and that we can't experience beauty in it". A sort of optimistic nihilism if you will.
Another intresting thing was how the ravens on Fischl's island corrosponded with characters she would have know, like there was a Timmy raven(with the pigeons), Bennett Raven(Leon), Albert Raven(Arnold). Also brings some questions when looking at some more obscure ravens, like the good-hearted raven trying to talk you out of jumping of a cliff or something of that nature, u ok fischl?
Too bad this connection was just a shot in the dark by the video’s author, because “arrogance” and “arrogation” don’t mean the same thing. I understand English is probably not their first language, but it took me literally 30 seconds to check, so surely they could’ve done this instead of spreading misleading theories…
(13:00) I love the concept of mages, if a person has a vision, their dream will be a positive one and why they have given a visions to begin with, while Fatui or people use delusions will have nightmares as they dont (have) a vision and reason why they dont have a vision. If neither, then they dont get a mage, much like our traveler.
Nope, those Fatui don't have delusions, of course, they are in the same position as Traveller in this regard. Content creator is confusing basic things here.
Nice video as always. Actually, in Kazuha's mirage, you can see Kazuha's father's face while he is standing on the other side of the wall if you keep leaning on the wall while using a bow. A little patience, and you will see his face. All I can say is that Kazuha probably inherits the hair color from his mother 😆
The 1st version of GAA, i was in co-op, the other player was in Mondstadt and i was in GAA, there's an arrow showing that the 1st player is above the map
CMIIW, every elf-like characters in game are short, namely: klee, kusanali, and pulcinella But yeah, mihoyo need to make alice as at least girl or woman to make bigger income, maybe
Look at the other elf in the other game like Elysia in Honkai, compare to Raiden mei she very short lol. Not surprise that Alice gonna have teenager model
4:59 Actually, that makes a lot of sense. Visions give you the power to control one of the elements of nature, so that power must be what produces elemental energy instead of the element itself.
And I love how Mona's domain story make us keep in touch with her feeling by the mechanism that suddenly become maze, suddenly small and make us wondering "wait the star stil fly WHY IT BECOME MORE SMALL but the story still continued, eh?! wait no path OH there it is" like really picturing how confuse Mona in her life
i know you'll never read this but i've been watching your videos for a while and i tell you it's almost impossible that a video can keep me so interested, focused and stimulate my brain to reflect on what's said in it, but you manage to do all the three of them in every single video. your explanations are clear and detailed. the structure of the videos also help me to follow the video through the end. i wanted to thank you and compliment you for keeping me entertained and for your undoubtedly hard work
10:32 "Arrogation" is a little different from "arrogance", it's more about "overstepping their boundary" or being "uppity" 11:15 To clarify, she explains (forgot if it was her story quest or her voicelines) that she'll "turn fate upside down" if she reads her own fate
These videos are always so interesting and informative. I’m so grateful for their existence. I’d certainly be much less knowledgeable about Genshin lore without them.
From Mona's Kazuha reading reaction one would think she actually saw the measurements of what he's packing in his pants. Naughty jokes aside I am actually disappointed that when Mona talked about the inability of altering fates and miracles, she did not speak of her inability of reading Traveler's fate at all. And also that no one wondered about the lack of Traveler's mirage and why that might be.
For some reason I got so happy when I recognized the reference at 8:18! I played the quest as it came out more than a year ago, but it really feels like yesterday.. and these throwbacks really give satisfaction, for some reason :)
Btw, who saw Venti on first Island? You couldn't talk to him. He was just standing there. By time - when it was possible to pass tasks with Fatui soldiers.
I kinda think Venti really loves hinting to a very low level yet still very secretive. As if he's ecstatic for something to really happen, a bit of a spoil sport, but just an over all liking stories of travelling, whilst also staying in Mondsadt...
Kusanali’s apperance on the island was hinted on the first day. When mitobrou (rip🥲) and the talking squirrel appear. Kazuha mentions there being a “particular floral scent not unique to the island” being on the wind. Obviously related to kusanali given her connection to flowers. One of her titles is the “God of flowers” so it makes sense for her to have a floral scent
Ok so, in an item called the Shriveled Seed it says “by normal judgment, it appears to be a seed.” Which indicates that there is normal judgment and not-so-normal judgment. Normal Judgment would say that Hydro and Water is the same, or Pyro and Fire, or Anemo and Wind, or Cryo and Ice, or Dendro and grass, or Geo and rock, or Electro and electricity. But by not-so-normal judgement, you can easily differentiate between the two. Interesting thing to consider. Also, the Mysterious Voice calls herself a “little bird”, and this is a “little bird” that we cannot see, in Mona’s story, we hear a story about a little bird that cannot be seen, and that no one believes in, until it flies into the night sky and becomes a star to guide everyone, is this perhaps telling us something about the “little bird”?
@@EternaMidnight well, the Elements are difficult to differentiate between their real life counterparts, but there is indeed a difference between the two, the Shriveled Seed is just one item whose description says the lines “by normal judgment, it appears to be a seed”, this line can be extended to all the elements as well, if any other item had that kind of description, I would of used that item as an example as well.
Takeaways from the vid: Venti was VERY involved with running Mondstadt that he could level mountains and threw it into faraway locations. Scara did say that the sky is fake so Mona could had saw the fake fates of her clients. As for what happened to the clients, it could be caused by paranoia that they indirectly caused their fate through actions. Visions are very confusing. On one hand it can be a mark to individuals that may be a potential god or threat depending on what you believe. On the other hand, its a proof that the holder has strong will ( along with mental fortitude) that forced removal was the only proven way to demoralize or affect them mentally aside from previous traumatic experiences.
Raiden Ei has killed 2 gods and split the island in one slash until the radiation lasts before she become Archon. She never even used Gnosis because Gnosis wasn't their main strength. So, the holder of vision is not necessarily an Archon. But traveler, it is possible to become the ruling god of Teyvat after gathering all the elements.
i think what scara meant was that the stars are fake because the real stars dont actually tell the people's fate. in teyvat's stars astrologers can easily see their history and future which actual stars cannot really do such things so maybe these stars are somewhat artificial.
@@honk7786 we can say that these stars were made by someone and control it and that the sky where the stars were located could also be fake and like a blanket that covers the real one.
Just dropping an Enkanomiya lore and Sun & Moon book. Genshin's planet is divided into 3 realms. Abyss Realm - A realm of abyss monsters. Light Realm - Also known as Vishap Realm. It is the home of elemental beings and vishaps. Human Realm - Also known as Teyvalt. It is created by primordial one, which is a realm for humans. According to lore Enkanomiya was sunk down to the depths after the Primordial One sealed them. So basically the real world is the Light Realm but the Human Realm or Teyvalt covers it. Since Human Realm or Teyvalt is artificially created, the sky is probably fake as well.
@@dr_titania Enkanomiya is not a realm. It's the same as Chasm. Located underground. The place where the Inhabitant of Watatsumi come from along with Orobashi.
IMO, Alice is likely a "real world" person (gamer or developer, etc.), just like you and me. This type of plot has been used in many Japanese games and anime (e.g., SAO, Princess-Connect: Re-Dive). That's why she knows cellphones, idols, etc., and pretty much creates/bends anything at will (the storyline from the first Summer Island tells us that she made the whole extravaganza (Albedo also helped). If Alice is ever going to be a playable character, I would think her power would rival the Gods of seven nations, if not more.
An important characteristic in Vision wielders is strong passion which one needs strong willpower to follow through on so it makes sense that the average vision wielder would in fact be minimally affected
For fact #1, consider this: Mona could have also foreseen/scried what’s happening on the island, and chose not to tell everyone else because she wanted to evaluate Traveller’s powers and intelligence. That’s why she said it so quickly after invited as well!
14:15 - Looking back on this after the 3.0 update, the mysterious voice sounds a lot like Lesser Lord Kusanali who helped us get out of a samsara or a repeating dream. That would make sense how the mysterious voice was able to create the mirages and how she said that ambitions and illusions interest her.
You guys thinking about that dendro archon is a god of wisdom because they can hear every single plant/has connection to it Like lay lines or a normal tree If that so then will us get in trouble for cutting down a random tree?? 🥺
14:18 The wording can also be interpreted as this: The Fatui only experienced hallucinations from the machine, while this mysterious voice created the mirages for the 4 characters
13:41 Another character I'd be interested in seeing in this situation is Diluc; although he doesn't have it anymore, he once wielded a Delusion in his time away from Mondstadt. If this were to indeed affect how Diluc is affected by this phenomenon, it'd be interesting to compare and contrast Diluc and Tartaglia's interactions with this.
I don't know why, but i watching this after coming back from my workplace & then hearing the BGM, the explanation used in this video also the editing, it's quite calm.. I really enjoy this kind of video and all i have to say, Mona's VA is one of the best VA i ever see, the way she spoke made me wonder how mystery & wonderful the Teyvat are even it is just a story/lore.. ❤️
This whole Golden apple event , including its main story quests and all the wlrld quests , had a great lore Can u plz make a recap of it? It would be useful and connected with incoming storys i guess
5:08 you know how in the description of the hydro hypostasis's drops, it says that its water will not mix with any other kind of water, even the purest one from fontaine? hydro is probably like that to regular water too
4:51 well that's just the same as saying tracing geo in land or tracing anemo in air or tracing dendro in grass.. this might be nice theory but it's weak form my perspective since there is nothing to back it up
1 thing to note about mona dialog, in one line she says she cant see her own fate, but at the starry sky she said "all fates can be seen in the starts, even mine" bit contratictory and when talking about her self she sounded sadder... then she spoke of miracoulos and believing...
I can't remember if it was on the scientist's notes or if some fatuus says it, but somewhere in the quest it was stated that the machine was replicating an archon's power. Which basically confirms quite explicitly that the voice IS the dendro archon. It seems to me after the livestream that Kusanali having powers over dreams and illusions vs her people who are proud of their rationality and not being capable of dreaming is a big part of the Sumeru conflict, and why the sages have that condescending attitude towards her
No it said that it was replicating a God's power, it isn't necessarily an archon, because we know there's is/was other gods that weren't archons like the god of salt, and zhongli's wife the god of dust, There could be a god of dreams or something
@@mitab1 i still think kusanali is also the god of dreams/mirages, in the sumeru trailer the images are flickering which could be portrayed as a mirage. and also the archons are gods of their gnosis and god or something else, like barbatos is god of the wind and god of freedom, morax is god of rocks and god of contracts, ei is god of lightning and god of eternity, etc,
Nope, dendro archon has power to talk with people in their mind. While Akasha terminal made by old dendro archon and its kind of google for sumeru. Also we are %100 sure that Nahida is new dendro archon.
10:36 ‘arrogation’ actually has a slightly different meaning than what you’ve insinuated, though it comes from the same root word as ‘arrogance’ it has a different meaning. 1a: to claim or seize without justification. 1b: to make undue claims to having. (to ‘assume’) 2: to claim on another’s behalf, suchlike ‘ascribing’. As to what this means for our knowledge on what the Sustainer is speaking about, I’m not sure.
14:00 Keep in mind theyre fatui foot soldiers (Juniors). I assume your average knight of flavonious, mililith, inazuma army men will also hallucinate. To dream you probably need to be around ella musk level of conviction, and to have your own world you'd need a strong will (vision).
while watching this video i suddenly remembered that during this event paimon mentioned that everyone has a proper roles but she was a clock in a royal palace made me think if she was istaroth but people has better theories about this i dont know
We’ve been robbed of seeing their fears in Perilous Trails, now we are robbed of their fantasy world. Hoyo sure does like keeping them a complete mystery :’) (And, I guess, it would just require too many new assets, because the twins spent millenia traveling through different worlds, so their memory and dreams contain a lot of stuff Teyvat never seen)
Actually we can see the differences between the hydro in water and the hydro in elemental beings and abilities as hydro elemental monuments are not lit up even though being put in water but can only be lit up by elemental abilities. It might be that hydro in water is not concentrated enough to light up the monuments
It's interesting how many things we saw at Fontaine's Archon's quest was hinted all the way back to this quest. Mona's comments about Fate are an direct foreshadowing to the Prophecy of Fontaine. So who knows if there isn't hidden Natlan or Snezhnaya's foreshadowings hidden among these quests too. Although this quest was all about Sumeru's plot regarding dreams and Nahida, and the next 3.8 Quest was a giant foreshadow about the nature of Fontainians and Oceanids in Idiya's Bottleland, it's safe to assume they have more things.
I can't remember where it was mentioned but my gut tells me somewhere during the beginning of the game. But it was already confirmed hydro and water aren't the same thing and can't be used as a replacement for the other. Hydro cannot be used to drink. This piece of info has been engraved into my brain for so long that I use it when I write genshin related fics.
well tighnari proves the last point of dendro being connected to dreams and mirages and hallucinations cause in the skill of tighnari pollen creatures make the enemies hallucinate in a way that make it attack nothing
If dandro archons powers are based on Dreams and hallucinations then she can create field which can confusenthe opponents just like tighnari e skill does.
5:07 Hydro as an element is regular water, plus elemental energy That energy allows water to be controlled, but to regular humans they're more "hazardous" than regular water This is also how Hydro Potioneers work, their "water molotovs" can still hurt because of Hydro elemental energy
5:31 about that part, I remember Paimon refering the anemo archon as the bard after this. Did she just sell out Barbatos identity in front of Kazuha Xinyan Fisch and Mona ?!
When Mona said "stars fall" my 1st thought was that guy from 2000+ yrs ago in the Unreconciled Stars Event who was trying to climb the highest peak - Mt. Pilos, now Musk Reef. And how literal that is in a physical sense - everyones stars/constellations are literally in the sky - because the meteors that put people to sleep and "forced" them to do his greatest ambition in their dream, were literally part of his constellation. (That biggest chunk is probably his C6. LoL) Also, i wasn't surprised of that "powers that have something to do with me" part (already in the assumption that it was the dendro archon) because of how the Fatui has delved into experimenting with god powers - from what we read in the manga between Dottore and Collei - but i had always wondered if the godly powers that the Fatui meddled with included the archons. In the manga, Collei seemed to be injected with a god power that was snake-like (tho i dont really remember if that was really the case) so when Orobaxi was introduced, i had a feeling that he was the "snake" in Collei, and i assumed they are using "old gods" powers because they can easily extract those from the traces left when they die - unlike living or sealed gods, like the archons, and osial and his wife.
After seeing the Sumeru trailer, I definitely think that's Nahidas/Dendro Archon voice. She doesn't have the ability to dream like the rest of the people in sumeru, and after hearing nadhidas voice I definitely think that's her.
Seeing as though Kusanali likes dreams and seems facinated, ig she's more of the God of Dreams rather than the God of Wisdom, which further shows y her people reject her as their archon and y she may be so secretive and hidden
5:05 hydro is actually different from water. In the hydro slime description it says that if u drink one u get sick, and if u drink water u obviously dont get sick. So it can be assumed that theyre different.
I'm pretty sure they are, all of the characters who have anemo visions have ambitions related to freedom while characters with dendro characters seem to have ambitions related to wisdom.
Thanks for this :) . though I'll make one small note that arrogation doesn't necessarily connect to arrogance, though arrogance may motivate one to acts of arrogation.
I love the idea that Venti thinks Alice's Personality of Blowing Hilichurls into the sky is adorable.
Might have been something he did 500 years ago. Of course they weren't hilichurls back then.
Oh my, you guys read too much, idk if you guys joking but its just some compliment
I mean, he must've been having fun doing so 500 years ago
pretty creepy, concidering he most likely knows what hilichurls are
When you are a god with 2000+ years of experience and at least 3 wars under your belt you dont give a FUCK about some stuff

5:08 - YES, Hydro is definetely not water. Just check the Hydro Slime description in the Archive. Hydro Slimes can be used in rare cases by the adventurers to restore water, however they are getting poisoned and ill due to the intoxication of the amount of Hydro in Slimes. That basically reveals that some Hydro is in the water everywhere, however, it is a different substance from water
"A small monster created by the sedimentation of Hydro dispersed throughout nature.
Legend has it that some people would use Hydro Slimes as an emergency water source, packing them in preparation for travels through dry regions or deep domains. But due to the high concentration of Hydro within these slimes, direct ingestion is, in fact, harmful to the human body."
yeah also the description of the hydro hypostasis mentions something about that cube being different from the water surrounding it
Genshin really has an interesting lore I can't find in other games.
I think that its something like all water is hydro, but not all hydro sustains the form of water
Well, H2O2 is harmful if u drink it. Or filtered pure water which drains u out of minerals
The fact that Nahida(Kusanali) got featured in that event before her official debute amazed me
They even explain her power is related to Dream
8:08 I wouldn’t say that that Mona’s alt-sprint is non-canon but more so that the Traveler’s quip was a ludonarrative poke at the 4th wall, hence Mona calling it nonsense. Other gacha games have been doing this where the MC is just aware of EVERYTHING, and this is one of my favorite jokes so far.
It's probably canon but like in-game the alt sprints are terrible. It often get stuck, it can't even pass through a boulders. So how would it pass a locked door.
MC is even aware that Paimon voice acts in Love is War.
Just one point:
It's not "arrogance", but 'arrogation', which means "to take or claim for oneself without right". In that context, Celestia thinks that mankind had access to something that they shouldn't have, resulting in the destruction of Kaenriah.
Great video!
The genesis crystal lmao
Great comment
8:09 I don't think its non-canon since the Traveler did bring it up in a canon story. Rather it's that Mona's alternate sprint cannot slip through doors because she's not actually becoming water.
it *is* called illusionary torrent for a reason

So hydro properties might not be like what you think it should be in real life(water)
i feel like its how rocks hold geo energy, yet are still different from actual geo crystals.
@@urbro9568 in short: Teyvat has its own laws
Its good to know at least about the Witches part like Mona, Lisa, and Signora, as for the Fair Lady she also gets to be considered as a talented witch if we’re going to talk about their pointy Witches’ Hat because of the Crimson Witch artifact set!!
Signora *is* the Fair Lady...
Watching this months later and seeing how Nahida interacts with dreams really pulled on my heart strings. I liked this set up that Mihoyo did.
I agree
Beautiful analysis totlaly agree fr
Whoah, the connection between Mona's quest and the first cutscene of the game!
Too bad this connection was just a shot in the dark by the video’s author, because “arrogance” and “arrogation” don’t mean the same thing. I understand English is probably not their first language, but it took me literally 30 seconds to check, so surely they could’ve done this instead of spreading misleading theories…
there's no connection. arrogation and arrogance are not the same thing.

What does the seed have to do with that
@@EternaMidnight well, the Elements are difficult to differentiate between their real life counterparts, but there is indeed a difference between the two, the Shriveled Seed is just one item whose description says the lines “by normal judgment, it appears to be a seed”, this line can be extended to all the elements as well, if any other item had that kind of description, I would of used that item as an example as well.

Takeaways from the vid:
Venti was VERY involved with running Mondstadt that he could level mountains and threw it into faraway locations.

I can't remember if it was on the scientist's notes or if some fatuus says it, but somewhere in the quest it was stated that the machine was replicating an archon's power. Which basically confirms quite explicitly that the voice IS the dendro archon. It seems to me after the livestream that Kusanali having powers over dreams and illusions vs her people who are proud of their rationality and not being capable of dreaming is a big part of the Sumeru conflict, and why the sages have that condescending attitude towards her
No it said that it was replicating a God's power, it isn't necessarily an archon, because we know there's is/was other gods that weren't archons like the god of salt, and zhongli's wife the god of dust,
There could be a god of dreams or something

This connects perfectly to current Nahida storyline with her being trapped in the dreamscape or somethin.
Also with the idea of Sumeru really just being a mirage in the desert
Mona's accent activates a lot of my neurons
13:08 it makes sense for visions to grant dreams since dreams and ambitions are similar, and delusions are lies, which are like hallucinations
Can you talk about how the ruins on Mona's island has similar architecture design to the ancient city in stormterror's lair.
14:00 Keep in mind theyre fatui foot soldiers (Juniors).
I assume your average knight of flavonious, mililith, inazuma army men will also hallucinate.
To dream you probably need to be around ella musk level of conviction, and to have your own world you'd need a strong will (vision).
Fischl's mirage has a raven that talks you out of jumping over the cliff, i wanna know who that Mondstadt character is
Just watched this video when nahida has alrdy been revealed, last part makes so much more sense now
4:44 yes, Hydro is something completely different from just water. It says in the archive under the Hydro Slime description
7:12 Glad that Ayato send help to him while he needed the most. Now I really need Kazuha's voice for Ayato.

This info was actually from the previous GAA event, but the squirrel probably told us that in case newer players haven't played the prev event
while watching this video i suddenly remembered that during this event paimon mentioned that everyone has a proper roles but she was a clock in a royal palace made me think if she was istaroth but people has better theories about this i dont know
I'm dead curious about traveler's fantasy world...
Probably takes place in the abyss.
Probably full of harem
There was also how Fischl used Diluc's Burst line and Mona did a scrying and found out it really is used by Diluc
Man i was so focus on completing those cursed puzzle i hadn't get the chance to read or clearly heard what mona was saying damn those puzzle TT
Actually we can see the differences between the hydro in water and the hydro in elemental beings and abilities as hydro elemental monuments are not lit up even though being put in water but can only be lit up by elemental abilities. It might be that hydro in water is not concentrated enough to light up the monuments
Or Maybe is the amount of magic it has in comparason
You remember correctly, this info is in Hydro Slimes archive description :)
well tighnari proves the last point of dendro being connected to dreams and mirages and hallucinations cause in the skill of tighnari pollen creatures make the enemies hallucinate in a way that make it attack nothing
If dandro archons powers are based on Dreams and hallucinations then she can create field which can confusenthe opponents just like tighnari e skill does.

Hydro as an element is regular water, plus elemental energy
That energy allows water to be controlled, but to regular humans they're more "hazardous" than regular water
This is also how Hydro Potioneers work, their "water molotovs" can still hurt because of Hydro elemental energy
LoL)
Also, i wasn't surprised of that "powers that have something to do with me" part (already in the assumption that it was the dendro archon) because of how the Fatui has delved into experimenting with god powers - from what we read in the manga between Dottore and Collei - but i had always wondered if the godly powers that the Fatui meddled with included the archons.
This aged badly
5:05 hydro is actually different from water. In the hydro slime description it says that if u drink one u get sick, and if u drink water u obviously dont get sick. So it can be assumed that theyre different.
When Mona told a story about the adventurer she met in Monstadt, I thought it sounded like Bennett. Did anyone else think that too?
Nah Bennett is still alive, while that other adventurer is presumed dead
oh thanks
but I thought that maybe by continuing to adventure, Bennett avoided his fate or something
@@keqingmain6483 Mona is very clear that one cannot escape their fate
@@genshinsage Alright thanks
Hydro is the ENERGY allowing the use of water, not water itself
another perfect video of yours!
5:05 yes, read the hydro slimes lore in archive.
I wonder if Visions are crystallization of dreams, filtered through the lens and ideals of the Seven Elements.
