- Thanks for checking out our Jay Z and Linkin Park reaction. We watched Points Of Authority/99 Problems/One Step Closer on a live stream. Lex is not too familiar with Jay Z. This is her first time hearing 99 Problems.

The look on his face was the first time he heard Chester scream. He was impressed. They eneded up being extremely good friends.
Yes for sure!
She's a rocker deep down. Nice
They should do all the songs from Live in Texas
She is a rocker. And Brads confused. Suprise surprise
YES🤘! love her personality 🔥❤
Kevin from The Office: NIIIICCCE
She definitely is, Brad is coming around though, he feels it even if it doesn't show physically as much. People move different to music than others and that's okay.
They did a whole album together called "Collision Course"
I still got the cd but also on Spotify 🙌lol 😆this was my shit in high-school
@@Ms.JessiJ88 I wasn't much into Jay-Z. But Linkin Park was my shizzz as well! RIP Chester!
@@RayJay37 same. this is and was about as much jayz as I got
@@Ms.JessiJ88 Don't get me wrong, I like rap music but I don't like mainstream rap music.
@@RayJay37 no apologies needed! I'm more of underground myself. Just found these reactions and been mind blown. Straight throw backs in most I've seen lately it's wild.
She's about the cutest thing I've ever seen. Her reaction to Chester coming in with the screaming was awesome.
yeah honestly i know puppies who are less adorable :')
YES 🤘😂 she's amazing ❤
Yeah she's an absolute find.
There was about 10 years in the Texas and Germany tours where Chester had to ease up on the screaming due to a clogged airway in his lungs from all the strain on his vocal chords.
She is so adorable it's stupid
Linkin Park and JayZ numb is a great song. The look on jayz face looks like "damn son ya did that" lol
Chester had that voice man, he will give you goosebumps... and that's when you know its real shit... RIP
True though...that look Jay-Z gives Chester is priceless!!👍😂
I love how you noticed Jay Z's face after Chester's last scream, it's one of my favourite Linkin park moments ever
Jay-Z and Chester were great friends. Jay-Z was devastated by his passing. He did a tribute to him on his 4:44 tour and the sadness shows in his eyes.
That tribute was sad as shit, remember it like it was yesterday
They weren't "great friends", to be honest. But Jay-Z definitely held LP in high regard having worked with them and toured with them on Projekt Revolution.
@@101nemesis I don't think they were friends, but the fact that Jay-Z ended the rest of his shows after Chester's death on his tour with Numb/Encore meant something. Chester's voice was the last thing his fans heard in a song on Jay-Z's tour from then on. He didn't have to do that. He genuinely cared.
@@nr1771 He definitely cared.
JayZ, out of most people knew, how talented Chester was having worked and toured with them.
Also just respect as an artist - such a loss.
Whenever Lex said “You don’t exercise your crazy, you keep it in your thoughts.”
I felt that. Lol.
The first set of music is Points of Authority, but the lyrics and rhyming are 99 Problems by Jay Z, it's such a good blend. The music matches perfectly with the rhyming and spitting. The music change at the end is then the song One Step Closer by Linkin Park, but still 99 Problems in lyrics and rhyming, until the very end when Chester comes in and it gets real heavy, that's all Linkin Park in music and vocals, it's the full breakdown from their song One Step Closer, followed by a another little mix of One Step Closer and 99 Problems to finish.
99 problems is by ice t
@@trotskyite1 But obviously not this time so they're still correct. It does sound like something Ice-T would do though.
yup and obviously Mike rewrote the first verse from 99 problems to talk about Jay-Z as a third person
You got do the Jay-Z - Linkin Park - Numb / Encore. This is the best one they did. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
RIP Chester
My favorite is Jigga What/Faint. "You're gonna listen to me, like it or not, right noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow!!!!!"
I agree 100% just pure 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
YASSS! It’s so good. That’s how I hear that song these days.
he had that talent man, one of those voices that could just give you chills.... RIP
@@MrDeni23n Jigga what/Faint is so good.
I totally love Lex's genuine enthusiasm and curiosity in every video. She's super giddy, excited and into it before the video even starts. Much love.
That whole Collision Course gig was epic . I’ve watched it so many times and that “ look “ that Jay-Z gives gets me every time 😁🏴
I have looked through interviews of Jay-Z but I never see anything about that 'look' and what he was thinking.
Fun fact Ice-T wrote 99 problems in the early nineties and it debuted on his album home invasion
Oh shit, That's true ??
The entire album is absolute flames! Linkin Park’s music composition lends itself to Hip Hop very well and Jay-Z just knows how to work with the track he has. 100% legendary album and mash up
Linkin Park songs that u guys should check out:
1. Faint
2. Numb
3. Given up ( it will blow ur mind but it has sad lyrics)
4. One step closer
5. Points of authority
Numb!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Crawling!
A place for my head 🔥
Crawling, as well!
@@carbonoffset2151 This is by far my most favorite LP song I feel it's the perfect mix and it makes me a little sad that it is mentioned so little, but the gd catalog is so full of great songs I have to remind myself of that fact.
Chester at the end screaming was everything. Jay was straight impressed by it. I remember all those years ago this song and collabo album first coming out, never bought an album so fast in my life lol. For rap and rock Jay and Linkin Park were and still are at the tippy top for me.
I still compare every single collab/mash-up/remix album to this. It’s just the perfect blend of two different sounds.
@@runthemeows1197 Is there anything that comes close?
Mike Shinoda also had a hip hop side project called Fort Minor, he had a few great tracks under that moniker. This whole Collision Course EP is insane.
You guys would love their performance of A Place for My Head- live in Texas
That guitar being destroyed brings me chills everytime. There is also a version of it from the Rock Am Ring out there that is fucking fantastic. Dog man!!
i couldn't stop laughing at Lex jamming with Chester screaming haha loved it.
Brad, it was so good to see you smile ear to ear ! Lex rocking out with her mischievous little smile.
So happy you guys liked it. ❤
Rap & Rock, who knew ?😂
Time to explore Rage against the machine now.
Rap and rock, who knew?........
Chester .... R.I.P.
It’s all Black American music. Rock just came first, born from the Blues. Plenty of people knew. And honestly this really isn’t that far off from what LP was doing on their own. They could’ve done this project with plenty of other rappers. Mike’s been spitting for them since day one.
This song is you two as music. He's a little bit rap, she's a little bit rock, you go good together.
💯
100% Truth, thats why I wanted them to do these so bad, good blend for them
Donnie and Marie over here
Brad can casually appreciate music, but a lot of other people.. such as Lex, feed off of the raw energy that music can deliver. I love music for that. There is no wrong way to listen so don't feel bad for not being able to relate to others experiences, just enjoy it how you want to. =) love the reactions y'all put out no matter what the genre, keep it up! Cheers from Cali =)
“This is waaay back in the day…” I was like 23 years old when this came out. This collab was so fire.
Check out the Mike Shinoda Xecutioners! That’s an awesome Linkin Park collab as well. Linkin Park was HUGE back in the day. I saw them live when the opened for POD in like the year 2000 right before they really blew up. They are still one of my all time favorite bands 20+ years later.

Without a doubt one of the most legendary musical colabs that ever took place. I can't recommend Collision Course enough to people who really love these types of music. They got the full video of when they recorded this, the story behind it, and the performance on youtube. It's like 45 minutes, it's cool to see how it all went down. This is the kind of shit that truly impacts the evolution of music.
Facts
Next linkin park song should be Given Up if you guys still wanna dive into linkin parks music.
This made me soooo happy when this came out. It really showed just how incredible Jay Z and Linkin Park are as artists.
I've been watching you two for a while and the timing on this drop is crazy, I've been watching so many old reactions to this today and then you dropped this 😀❤
You hurt my heart a little bit everytime you say, "This song is so old" in a lot of these reactions :D...I guess you're right though....LOL Great reaction as always!
The Jay-Z & Linkin Park collab/mash up on Encore/ Numb is sooooo good‼️🎵🎶💯🔥❤
Linkin park actually has another song with over a billion views. It's called numb and has even more views than in the end.
That look Jay-Z had was him being impressed by Chester's voice.
The making of collision course dvd HAS to be watched. I bet it's even available digitally now lol. I think Jay-Z was pleasantly surprised by how LP fans embraced him.
I was a Lincoln park fan before the collab, but I became a Jay-Z fan after watching and listening to it. I realized how truly talented Jay-Z really is. Before that the only rap I was a fan of was Tupac and Wu.
Probably pretty obvious I'm a 50 year old white gal 😂
Literal chills when Chester screams “AND I’M ABOUT TAAAAAAAAA BREAK!!!!!!!!
I absolutely love this performance and wouldve given anything to be there to have seen it live. So glad you guys checked it out.
Always love the look on Jayz face in the end. “My man”
"You don't exercise your crazy, you keep it in your thoughts." - Best quote lol
This is my fav reaction I have seen of this song. 2 of my all time fav artists on stage together. I love it! 💕
Yeah this was an amazing ep. They just blended so well since Jay z knows how to ride a beat, and the energy of Linkin park really elevated it all as well. They blended each other's songs so well
I watch this video once a week just to see brad stop it and say “what is going on?” Cracks me tf up rip Chester linkin park will always rock
Brad, you gotta make sure you protects Lex's smile.
The two of you are fantastic! 😁
(Jay-Z just chilling lol, He's just taking in the rock environment at a show, like "so this is what this is like? NICE!)
"Some people the music makes them want to move, I just want to chill" - Brad is bobbin all the way through this song with Lex lol
Great reaction!
To believe this was almost 20 years ago is nuts! Great reaction, got a new subscriber!
The whole collision course album is great I'm surprised these type of colabs didn't happen more.
God damn I get so pumped up to this!!!
Yes!!!! You guys did it!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️ a true mashup of a Jay Z song and a Linkin Park song; elevates both songs!
Yay!! I am happy you guys got to see this one!! I hope you react to more Linkin Park :) so many amazing songs. A Place for my Head, My December, Numb, Crawling, One Step Closer, Lying from You, Faint, Breaking the Habit, Points of Authority
Love seeing you two on lock with this one :)
I knew, I knew, i knew Lex would love this one! the ultimate Colab!~
I absolutely love her energy!
When Chester started singing, & she got into it was great! The look on my kids face as they walked in ,& saw me bouncing up and down was priceless!
arguably one of the best hip-hop/rock combinations in history! love you guys
Luv your energy :)
Lex’s energy is amazing such a vibe i love it lol
These are Jay-Z lyrics with some linkin park lyrics. Great collab
Ooohhh I watched this live!! This was the besstt still to this day. They took over the show on this song
Man she is the coolest! Her excitement in the music is adorable!
Love this album. Dope reaction
I still have this mashup cd! Love it!!!
The way I almost cracked my back I felt so old 😂. When you said you grew listening to the song, and I remember this was (for obvious reasons) the most popular song my second and third year of law school.
The full concert is 20-24 min long. would be great if you did it.
And a 50 min version including behind the scene. Mtv Collision Course.
One of the most iconic live performances of Linkin Park is their "Given Up live AOL performance"
Very cool colab and reaction! That look Jay-Z gave was to the scream Chester gave at the end, he had a very powerfull voice.
omg this is the first time watching y'all and I love you girl feel the same way I always listened to Jay z & linkin park and when they did this I liked it all so much better and those are the only versions on my Playlist! well you got a new fan can't wait to watch more of y'all ❤
I was hoping you’d do it!!!! ❤️
you guys are great love how she gets into it
That was awesome !
Collision Course is one of my all-time favorite albums, I played it so much I wore it out. It come with a bonus DVD of that whole concert and it was awesome.
Jay-Z s look when chester screamed..like whoa
Man you guys are covering a lot of my personal favorites lately I can barely keep up. This is another one that I have the entire DVD for that shows the entire process of how this album came together. It entirely a mashup and one of the first of its kind. My brother was doing mashups like this when he was a DJ. You need to check out the DVD if you can get a copy of it. I swear I have several DVD's with several bands that you have been doing recently. I have videos for Korn, Rammstein, Disturbed, Linkin Park, Eminem, and A Perfect Circle. Most you won't find anywhere on UA-cam. If you haven't already do a reaction to Korn - Here To Stay which is available on UA-cam. It's an awesome track that's one of my favorites.
If you want collaborations...
Aerosmith with Run DMC "Walk This Way"
Anthrax with Public Enemy "Bring The Noise"
The originals.
More collaborations, Judgement Night soundtrack.
ive never seen this live performance before, i knew the song, but never the live... and this was straight fire.
this entire colab album is so good.
The look Hove gave was legit "well god damn!", such a perfect reaction i laugh every time.
yo yall are in Clearwater, thats sick. me too!
This Mashup was incredible!!!!!!🔥
The smile on Lex’s face when JayZ starts rapping is SO cute. You guys are fun to watch..
Love it!
Rip chester!!! Legend with a mind nobody could reach.. I feel the stress.. but legend... more linkin park!!!!
That was great!!
I love this whole CD, this would have been the coolest concert to go to 😎
Lex you were rocking hard just like the crowd!
This reaction was awesome!!!
Lex! Your freaking awesome. I cya getting down! Especially when Chester went off at the end! That’s the way I get at that part of the song! Ya can’t help but jump up and down! That shit goes hard!
One of the best reaction channels, hands down!
Haha she loved when Chester entered with the “SHUT UP.” His voice was absolutely on fire.
4:33 Him saying 99 Problems was before High School when it came out in 2003 makes me feel like I should get my cane and yell at the kids to stay off my lawn. Darn whippersnappers!
The good old mash up days. Loved all the mash up from that era!
You don’t exercise your crazy ,you keep in on your thoughts the most relatable thing ever 😂🔥
you are right, they are legendary. and have to keep in mind that's 1.2 billion views in 11 years...the song is 18 years old (2002). Linkin Park was my doorway into the rock and metal world, they'll always have a special place in my heart.
RIP Chester Bennington
They did a whole concert, it was fire!!!!
One of my favorite albums by both artists. Ever.
Yeah, Linkin Park is one of the most iconic rock bands since the 90s. They have 11 number one hits on the alternative charts (just behind Green Day and the Red Hot Chili Peppers), and is the only band ever to have five number one hits on the alternative charts on a single album (their album Meteora)
Ya'll never disappoint, keep doing you! Lex is adorable when she starts head banging with her pig tails Haha! Also ya'll do such a good job of breaking down songs meanings, here is a thought provoking one! Break down the band Disturbed "The Vengeful One" and make sure to watch the official video as the lyrics wouldn't carry as much meaning without the video. It was done awhile ago but the meaning is still very relevant, probably more so than when it was put out. I would love to see how ya'll would break this song down and what ya'll thought? They are metal but have alot of good songs with a message like Five Finger Death Punch.
It's so amazing how "Back in the Day" is now "Today" because of the internet and youtube! Yes, Brad rocks in his head and Lexi rocks like an explosion! That song had it all....heavy rock guitar, hard rap, and their killer rock-n-f/n-roll scream!! let s go!!!!
Yeah you guys should definitely spin this whole EP. It's absolutely groundbreaking.🤘
“ Exercise your crazy” straight fire!!!
That was a damn, respect look from Jay-z to Chester. The whole concert was amazing. Linkin Park was awesome live in concert
Lex you could be a Disney Princess♥love your hair!
This and 311 was on my rotation during the 90's constantly
This the mid 2000s though
best concert ever! Happened for a 1 time show!
