Lived in Perth 26 years before we relocated just outside Melbourne back in 2015. Watching this makes me a little homesick for all those very familiar places, sights and the sounds of those trains. One of the starkest differences is how clean it all is….something we really noted when we travelled Melbourne’s lines with graffiti and rubbish about. Melbourne is making an effort to clean that up, but yes, quite a difference there. Was a nice visit home without actually being there…
Thanks for sharing your video my friend , I've been to the Bennett Brook Railway several times & I live in Armadale so I know the line well & it's great to see things from a "Driver's view" as opposed from a "passenger's view" ; If you could do another video going from Perth City to Armadale - that'd be great as I'd like to see the track work through the stadium area in either direction if possible. were you driving an "A" or "B" series set in this video? ; great video & keep up the great work too.
Here's the Perth to Armadale version; ua-cam.com/video/TCNlhnnIH1E/v-deo.html This video (Perth Stadium to Leederville) was shot from the cab of a B series railcar.
@@PurpleHusky1994 Thanks for that Luke , it's great to know as I mostly get to see the "A" series on the Armadale line & occasionally the "B" series too so this is why I ask this question above ; I'm hoping to have my 7.25" railcar(s) done before too long as my 1st one is nearing completion & I hope to get working on it's 2nd half soon if I can ; pics of it can be seen in my "Kev's Workshop" website plus on my locoman3801 channel too.
McIver Station closed during stadium event. Trains don't stop at McIver or Claiesbrook after games to get as many trains through to Perth station as fast as possible. Rail replacement buses run between Perth and East Perth stations when this happens. Only usually lasts for about an hour or so until most of the fans are gone and the Joondalup and Fremantle express services are finished.
like that one when train goes from perth stadium pass perth to city west does it go like that cause i went on the joondalup one when i went to bonno aka u2 concert
They locked the whole city down for 1 case ...now they don't give a f ..just stay home till the test says negative...talk about a major overreaction.they made it sound like the world was going to end🤦♂️

This train runs from Perth Stadium to Butler, running express to Leederville, then stopping at all stations to Butler.

Well, it does say Perth stadium to the Joondalup line, not Perth stadium to Butler.
At 9:32 what did the indicator say on platform 1?

Hey Bennett you haven't reply to my comment
tellingly queer how absence of noise mitigation apparent throughout the (initiating [& clogged]) extension
You don’t need it across the whole extension only in certain areas
