SorensiC you should have a fun op where the 501st had been deployed on a planet and tasked with eliminating hostile bugs (like the ones from Starship troopers) so the republic can make a secret HQ that is closer to one of the main CIS Factory planets.
Why does it seem like The 212 has better gear then you guys? How do you get that better gear??
Hey, I currently run a Mac and am kinda short on money, while ARMA 3 could run on Mac...I tried, and well, the ground turns to sky, you can see through your gun and the steering wheels on jeeps go through the dash. I would love to join but I need an inexpensive way to make the game work on a Mac that doesn’t involve getting a new computer or splitting the drive. Any suggestions anyone?

I was the gunner on the Bantha trying to plug the door when someone accidentally opened it up. Everything was going fine, up until we blew up and killed some of the folk behind us :(

I cringe when I see star wars on Arma, totally not made for it. Especially when you see a bunch of clones on Altis lol. Also say goodbye to frames because the SW mod is most un-optimised mod out there.

This is the first ARMA video I've ever watched. The fact it is Star Wars is what brought me. This is incredible. What an amazing experience. I feel I have missed out so much on this game. Why haven't I been in a Clan like this with like minded people who are cool and hang out and game together across the world. My bad.
Just so you know, the game has a near future military theme. It's extremely realistic and close to reality, and therefore very hard to get into. What he's playing right now is a mod called Star Wars Opposition.

Arma isn't really "extremely realistic". It's better than most but by no means simulates real combat and tactics.

I will not lie, watching this, and Liru's Clone Operation streams had helped inspired role-play ideas for my Clone Wars OCs, (original characters). Look forward to a day where I can get a decent gaming PC and play Arma 3 again to seek more inspirations for my writing.

Ever thought about naming the planets you are making ops on? It would be cool. If you have trouble figuring out names, use a derivation of a descriptive word from another language. George Lucas did it himself. Did you know the name of Mustafar comes from the arabic word "mustafa" which means "the chosen one"? Pretty cool, right?

Indeed. You will find that Mustafar has pretty much been built to reflect Anakin. It is not just the fact that it is literally named "the chosen one". For example, it used to be a fertile world until a cataclism turned it into a vulcanic world making a refference to the fall of Anakin to the Dark Side.

Huge maps, tons of modding and the most realistic shooting mechanics around.
They almost always have a humble bundle sometime in the year where you can get the game and a lot of the dlcs for super cheap. I would sign up emails so you don't miss it.

you guys should do a mod or whatever where your in the briefing room discussing a mission and you know your going to play on a certain map but the droids attack your ship and you just go straight into space battle with people fighting in space and some people going onto ground to enforce the ground forces.

i've never played this game, so i have a few questions.
1. why do some players can't see the trenches?
2. why didn't they attack the mothership?
3. who opened the gates?
I'm just guessing here but. (And even if you already know everything i'm saying here i'm saying it for anyone else curious who comes across this comment)
1. Clientside issues probably. It's an issue with a lot of games. Something someone is seeing others might not. It has to do with the individual player's system sending information to the server and then sending it back to all other players. Sometimes it doesn't come through properly. Hence desync and other glitches are bound to happen. It's why, for example. When you're playing a match in Cod and you move behind a wall but you die anyway. The player doesn't have wallhacks just that on their screen you were still out of cover and they shot you. The sever has to decide one if you is right.
2. I'm really not sure about this one. Either A they forgot or B it was just a static background object that any attacks would have phased through.
3. Coulda been anyone. Or it coulda been the game's Zuse. Every arma map has someone taking more of an RTS position. They can fly around the battlefield and control npc's and give orders to players. Basically they're the "AI" making sure the mission goes smoothly. Becomes harder or easier. And triggering events.

I've been trying to join the 501st a couple times bit the link to the teamspeak isn't working for me , but I've had that trouble before when I was in previously in the 104th , sick op as well 👏👏👏.

This was all a scenario built for them, there are 327th members in GARC now but back then it was AI

As an xbox owner who has never owned a gaming pc and is interested in arma how is the community like if I try to play with rando will there be people to explain the game Bc it seems extremely hardcore and complicated
a little late here but all you have to do is join one of the discords. The 501st, the 101st, and etc all work together. So just join whichever server you want depending on what you wanna join and they'll get you recruited trained and caught up
how are your frames so good with all these mods? i have an i5 8600k default oc and gtx 1060 6gb and i struggle to get 60fps constantly on invade & annex
