Hi mate congrats on that Scottish beast! Try mixing it into a ground bait and if your finding that still isn’t getting down to the bottom you could play with adding mole hill soil like match anglers do on deeper waters! Mick brown is a fan of making a ground bait mix, I believe there’s a video on UA-cam of him going over it. Out tomorrow, tight lines
A bit late to the party but heres a method i use on the Broads. Drill some 12mm holes in a plastic 2pt milk BB bottle. Put a little gravel on the bottom then 3/4 fill with minced fish. Attach a string cord to the handle and position upstream . Attach cord to a bank stick. 👍
I new exactly what you was going to say when you was cutting the minced fish brick, back in the late 70s we once thought we would be a head of the other anglers on a bream water we used to fish, make ground bait balls up a few days before and freeze em ?? We got to chosen water aprox an hr before day light and we launched our ground bait balls out only to see them later all floating around the venue !! Tried again but with a small stone rolled inside abd thus worked, tried it with minced fish mixed with bread crumb pilchard oil but for this it needed a bigger stone due to oil content, I think we made the balls about 3-4" with a stone inside of about 1 1/2" this seemed to work but we didn't seem to do much better catch wise,,
😂😂😂 nothing is new in fishing Stephen, thanks for reaching out. Hopefully my current thinking will allow me to progress on the next trip to the river 👍
Maybe mix it in with some fishmeal groundbait to hold it on the bottom. I find your videos relaxing too watch and I wish you all the best for 2023 and your next trip out.
Ref your ground fish mix. Once thawed, re freeze it with gravel mixed in in small take away tubs. You can then literally put it in by hand on the line your going to fish..
Nice session buddy I use the pike Pro bomber they sell them on ebay £9.95 you can put that fish block you had in it or there's a sponge that comes with it and you injected oil into it
Reminds me of Jaws "keep that chum line going Hooper!". Couple of nice fish Bruce. You'll have to show me how to get to that stretch for the life of me I cannot find the turning! And that's the only place local I see egrets and they always make my day
Nice one Bruce,i used giant open-ended feeders...i have found mixing minced fish with fish meal ball it in you swim, fish meal keeps it all together plus brings the silvers in which the pike follow!! In theory anyway...good luck
Happy New Year! I'm trying dead bait for winter. That was a couple of nice pike. A quick question... Are you dead baiting on the bottom or a little bit above. Thanks
@@amomentintimechannel1315 Thank You.. I'm looking for good technical presentation. I'm going with chubs and hot dogs and see how that works. Have good day
Lovely colours on that pike! I'll never get bored of watching the float Bob! Nice video!
Thanks for reaching out and yes it was certainly a bonny fish.👍

Nice going, try a small mesh bag with a few small stones in it👍
That was about where I had got to by the end of the day, but then I slept on it and now I have a plan. Watch this space👍

Classic film, at least the original was !! Need to work out how to DM you mate ?
@@amomentintimechannel1315 I prefer Instagram but I'm on Facebook too.
Hi Bruce, i make my own chopped fish and mix it with a fishmeal method mix. I make hand size balls and drop them upstream of my swim.
Thank you for the advice Michael, my preference is to use a full block of the minced fish to gradually leak scent through the swim 👍
I would leave a block of fish overnight to thaw. Then when you arrive at the venue mix it in with a kilo of groundbait.@@amomentintimechannel1315
try a cage feeder filled with the minced fish ?
My thought direction Bryan, watch this space. Thanks for the suggestion 👍

That's a worry, we seem to be on the same wavelength mate !! Been to B & Q this morning, watch this space. All the best 👍
Your not going to make a giant feeder out of an orange bucket are you 🤣 ....this i got to see
Happy new year Bruce 🥳
And to you and yours Stephen, all the best 👍
Did you not think of balling the minced fish around a stone ?
I actually tried that Jess, but the ball broke up on impact and floated away, I have a plan, watch this space, thanks for reaching out 👍

Thanks for reaching out Rob, on this occasion I was fishing on the bottom, sometimes fish one on the bottom and one up in the water on a paternoster 👍
