EXACTLY. But sadly, people are dumb as shit, immature, and think that doxxing or just leaking personal information is the solution to everything when it isn’t. Don’t know what made them think this but nobody deserves it especially when the person getting doxxed is going through the lengths of keeping i formation private.

As a psychology major, its painful to notice a lot of few details many might miss..few changes from the last time I saw him. From his slouched position to his tone, his lethargic energy, expression, the shakiness of his tone and fidgeting, it sounded like he's been through a lot. Last time I saw him, he was persistent still, and there was a sense of frustration and determined in taking action in regards to this project...now there's little of it - because he's prioritizing himself this time for his life is literally in danger. Overwhelmed, scared, terrified that despite pursuing his goals and dreams with good intentions, he gets death threats, doxxed, to the point he had to leave. I have a feeling he'll have to go someplace else, and be completely cut off from social media in the meantime to keep himself safe - and pray to gods that he does. He doesn't deserve anything that's been happening to him. And the fact that many finds terrible actions justified is fucking insane. Being involved with something terrible, or being incompetent is not a fucking excuse to do terrible acts, and its disgusting that many do this thinking they're doing the right thing. He could always just leave without leaving a final message, but I suppose he felt bad heading out without saying anything, but honestly, putting himself in an uncomfortable situation..careful with his words, being vulnerable more than what's already forced out of him..he should definitely prioritize himself and take a break. I'm sure the people that cares about him would understand each and every choice he makes. Let's pray for Alexis's recovery and safety, as well as the people who are wrongly involved with what's going on.

I never really watched the QSMP, but, I did watch Quackity, and I loved his content, and to see that something like this has happened and made him step down for his own health is disgusting. I do not blame him for stepping down though, because no matter what your own health comes before everything else.
I hope he is okay, or atleast becomes okay, and I hope that everyone who sent him death threats for nothing gets some real karma fot it.
I wanted to hug him so bad like what people do is fucked up. Like why? What will you get from this? Poor guy, he’s just a human not an animal. Also if you look closely, his voice is tired, cracking, and empty. And his eyes are so fucking exhausted. This whole year clearly forced him to talk about uncomfortable things on stream like the Wilbur situation, the QSMP admins not getting paid enough, etc. Not only that, but talking in English. Not Spanish, his comfortable language. English. I wish him the best, I’m praying he doesn’t get attacked.
I agree, though is he really more comfortable speaking Spanish than English? I don't watch Quackity much, so I wouldn't know which language he prefers, since he seems to speak about equally as much in either (maybe more English than Spanish? idk).
English isn't my first language either, but I like speaking it more than my native language (Danish) and even speak English to myself while alone and google searches almost everything in English (mostly coz I find English searches to yield more/better answers).
Then again, the Danish accent kinda sucks while the Spanish accent kinda rules, and English is kinda whatever you want it to sound like. English with accents outside of English-speaking countries sound awesome (except for Danish accent lol).
All jokes aside, I really hope he stays safe too, no one deserves to be treated like this, not to mention he's pretty young and doesn't have as much admin experience as say Bad, so he was bound to be making some mistakes, but no reason to be outright threatening his life. :(

He didn't even know about any of this. It was hidden from him until the Pomme situation went public thanks to an accident with Aypierre.
What he was talking about was being doxxed and harassed. The dangers of the US and the reality that he could be k×lled or SWATTED. People gleefully hoping for this when sharing his private info with strangers. Opening him up to st×lkers and kidn×ppers.
Making up rumors and speculating and acting like they know what is going on behind the scenes. When we all know NOTHING going on between the admins and CCs.
The reason he can't say much? Is due to legal issues.
Its even more complicated when they live in different countries and can be postponed due to how many cases have to be gone through before theirs is ever seen.
It also isn't uncommon for things like this to happen within companies and be hidden from higher ups.
Some predatory people got hired and took advantage of Quackity's lack of experience in this field.
Before this? The most he handled was merch, roleplaying on DSMP, gaming, uploading to UA-cam, and streaming on Twitch.
That certainly doesn't scream super experienced Project Manager/Administrator now does it??
You need to STOP speculating like this. You help NO ONE. Not even the victims, who, also HATE all the harassment and doxxing happening.
Despite everything they still love the QSMP and said they would return if everything gets fixed. That these roles and the friends they made among the CCs are special to them.
Quackity is also a victim. This was his FIRST TIME doing this, with 0 experience but a dream he wanted to fulfill, and look what happened?
Can you imagine how CRUSHED you would be if you poured your heart and soul into something only for THIS to happen behind your back??

Man, no matter what, no one deserves to be treated like this. No one knows for sure what's true and what's not, but those crazy people on Twitter/X are always pointing fingers at people and mass*cring them with words. Gosh, I feel really bad for Quackity...
While I’m incredibly disappointed that this had to be the solution to the issues QSMP was facing, I ultimately think this is the right choice given the circumstances. Quackity didn’t say he’s leaving the project altogether, just that he’s stepping back a bit. I’m sure he’ll still be a voice of advice and that the new administrators will respect many of Quackity’s visions for the server. Everybody knows how much he loves this project, and his passion for it was never once in question. With everything seeming to only ever be escalating instead of dying down, this was really the only decision he could make for the sake of himself and for the sake of the server. Had he kept with it even if the doxing and other threats were nonexistent and ANOTHER issue come up with administration, considering the attention this last one got, it honestly may have meant the end of the server as a whole. So again, an unfortunate situation with a really unfortunate ending, but sadly, this was the only right one. The only other solutions I could’ve seen were a soft reset of the ENTIRE server & story (would’ve been pretty unpopular with everybody tbh unless they had literally a perfect scenario), a very long hiatus of QSMP (I’m talking like a year or so without the server; this would be unpopular with everybody again, and could’ve had lasting consequences for server investment and activity), or even the full closure of the server (again, would probably be the MOST unpopular with everybody. People love this server. Even Quackity himself would be heartbroken to have to close up the whole thing, especially if he had to end it like this). I really am wishing Quackity all the best for himself and for his future. Being a content creator has amazing perks, but there’s no doubt that constantly being in the public eye is exhausting, time-consuming, and can really be quite scary.
Anywho, I expect he’ll take some time away from the project altogether, but I do hope to still see him involved in the QSMP moving forward, regardless of whether that is just in the status of a regular member/player, or even if he takes on a position lower on the totem pole in administration for the project. I think Quackity’s response to everything has been nothing short of professional, and has shown a seriously high level of understanding and maturity on his end. I never doubted this with him before, but if anybody had any doubts about the quality of Quackity’s character as a human being, this video should certainly dispel them. He’s made mistakes, he’s admitted to them, he’s been very open and as transparent as possible about the ongoing issues with the server while STILL maintaining everybody’s privacy as much as possible. I have a lot of respect for him with regards to how he’s handled this situation. I can’t wait to see where his projects take him next. Love ya big Q
I deeply understand. Quackity has been doxed a lot and I heard lots of people getting doxed. And I can see it in his eyes looking deeply shocked. Ever since Wilbur was banned from the Qsmp It’s been very hard. Life sucks for him. Doxing is scary. Like this comment if you think we show him lots and support throughout the community. 2024 is turning out to be already terrible. I miss his smile his laughter and over all just having fun with his friends. Alot of things are happening to him, even at his friends and now this?, this community became toxic and as the comments said hes tired, he could use a hug or he doesn't deserve this. He expertly dodges the topic in the video in order for you to say exactly what you said (he's nice he doesn't deserve this!!), but the reason this whole drama is happening is because his company exploited workers, broke many labor laws including not paying people, exploiting minors, and making people work wayyy too many hours at any moment of the day and night without pay. That has been going on for months, in HIS project, in HIS company that he is responsible for, and to this day he hasn't done anything about it. He is not innocent.
I don't understand. Though he may have made mistakes, misjudgments and upholding his right to privacy, he is being treated like "other" content creators that have done disproportionately more heinous actions. I understand holding people accountable for there actions, but it is not fair if no matter the extent of an action if every CC will face the same hate.

I currently hate QSMP because they mistreat their workers, don't communicate with them or pay them, put insane working hours on volunteers, then when they complain, they ghost them, fire them, and do not actually change anything even after promising to.
They spoiled a really cool server with insane lore by being assholes and doing litteral illegal things to workers. They brought it on themselves. It's their fault.
Nope... I hate on QSMP because it has exploited and mistreated workers for MONTHS, including children. And there was no way Quackity didn't know about it... He is at least guilty of a criminal level of negligence. Somehow he very expertly dodged that. He will adress anything else, but not his exploitation of child labour, because he can't twist that around in a way that makes him look like a victim or a good guy who didn't know any better.

It’s also over multiple labor laws that he’s broken, multiple who have spoken out about their working conditions and who tried to contact Quackity to no avail, and the French union trying to fix things and Quackity not responding. I don’t condone doxxing but people have a right to be angry about this.

You're open and personal about behind the scenes stuff, you get it nitpicked and twisted, and there's constant attempts of canceling by people who disagree with you. You're private and professional, nasty theories accumulate and it boils up so bad that your livelyhood get's threatened.

I guess not paying his admins, never ensuring they were treated fairly, and then ignoring them for months after they voiced their negative experiences was super professional of him. It's a good thing the issues went public. That's how people get justice. In the corporate world, voicing concerns in private often leads nowhere, and the only way for the workers to have even a fraction of the power they deserve is by naming and shaming.

like I won't lie i am devastated by this whats happened is horrible however at the same time how exactly will this change work? will there still be events? is it still under his name? like I am just confused on how exactly the server can continue now?
My guess is (from nothing but my own imagination) that if he still has some events/projects for the server written down somewhere, he might share those with the new team so they can do stuff with it, and then otherwise leave the writing to someone else on the team.
Alternatively, he could still offer suggestions to the team as a regular player, not sure if he would be able to offer new writing/storylines as a normal member, but I know BBH at least offered several suggestions to the team which were then implemented, such as shortening the language in the chatbox from say (English) to (EN) to make room for more speech, and coming up with the idea to make custom egg signs to make it easier for people to read and tell which egg the sign belongs to, which then also further turned into each creator being able to color their own chatbox names and speech bubbles and speech bubble text and maybe even different fonts for better accessibility, along with balancing certain mechanics in Purgatory like the bounty system, and other things.
Not sure how many other people than Bad have made suggestions to the team (which also got implemented), though I feel like Bad is either the only regular member or just one of very VERY few who have done and still do this, but this is probably mainly due to his much longer experience as an admin and server owner himself, so I guess the admins really value his advice and input because they know he knows what he's talking about. They even unnerfed Create after he complained about it and said they should roll the nerfs back (maybe partly jokingly because he, Tubbo and Aypierre actually kinda liked the nerf but still found it frustrating), though it's possible that was also because other people complained, not sure.
Uh, but that's more on the technical stuff, not sure how much power a regular member would have to influence the writing of the events for the server, even if done by the former server owner. But possibly!

People in the comments are being WAYYYY too supportive of a guy who profited from child labor, gravely mismanaged his company and allowed workers to be mistreated for *many months in a row.*
"Oh poor baby I wanna give him a hug" stop it. He's been avoiding adressing the admins' issue for so long now it's getting ridiculous. He's talking about every single piece of drama in which he can frame himself as the good guy (the negative social media attention etc) but he's STILL dodging the very real illegal actions he has done, such as breaking labor laws in several countries! Still hasn't apoliogised to the admins. Still hasn't offered any compensation. And he's hiding behind that "oh but it's legal problems", "oh but I was handling that in private". These are excuses and lies. No legal proceedings stop you from saying "I'm sorry" to Pomme and the others. And no private action was taken for *weeks,* now probably *months* after the admins had been removed from the server. There has been no communication with the admins, or the union that got involved due to labor laws being broken.
This is why french CCs who have a spine are not returning. They have been saying since the very beginning of the problem "we will return if Pomme is reinstated and the problems are solved". One month later nothing has changed and they're either completely done (like Antoine) or they said at that point they don't even know if the problems will ever be fixed (like Étoiles).
Before you try to paint me as a villain, no I don't think it was right that he was doxxed and received death threats. But I do think he very conveniently brings those things up at length to garner sympathy while he continues to avoid taking responsibility for his illegal and immoral actions.

Honestly, yeah, people are treating him like a child and act as though there is a parasocial relationship going on, but how is Quackity supposed to deal with that? He has no control over other people. As the child of 2 company owners, starting ANY company is hard. Even more so when you already have a spotlight/large following. This project he started was a huge thing to take on, from the start it was clear to see that it would have its challenges because of everything it stood for. A company of this size, with this much work, added to the fact that they are not face to face, makes it difficult for communication to be crystal clear. There are states, countries, and continents in between the people working in the QSMP, should Quackity have organized and led it better? Yes, 100 percent! But does this mean to grab pitchforks and burn him at the stake? No. He is just starting a company for a HUGE project, he needs to get on his feet and deal with the problems that have appeared, which he has just said he is working on.
Clearly there is legal stuff behind the scenes because as he said, he CANNOT talk about it.
He does not have to air out everything he has done to the internet for fans or haters like you, myself, and anyone else. How do we know what he has said to the admins? We do not know what goes on behind the scenes, nor do we need to. Compensation is most likely being dealt with LEGALLY, not through some silly Twitter thread. Him saying that it is legal and he doesn't want to show everything to the media isn't excuses. He could have apologized and talk things out behind the scenes. Regardless of what he says or does, people will be angry. That's how it is when you are a content creator. He will never please everyone, so he is (most likely) doing what he deems is best and the most mature/professional.
The french CCs are also dealing with their own stuff, as I am sure there is more behind the scenes. We- as content consumers,- are NOT entitled to all of their private information, and as we have seen, when people do get that information, they abuse it (ie. doxxing, death threats, etc.).
Nobody should be idolized, it's an unhealthy trend and has been for a long time, however Quackity and everyone involved isn't some big bad villain overlord. They are all human. They are business owners who are trying to get their ducks in a row (pun intended) and not to be killed and/or have their life ruined.

I’m sad that I agree with this. When his friend who tried multiple times to get him to at least try to stop the harassment privately, he didn’t respond. Dream got so desperate, he literally told everyone the situation. What does he get? Everyone calling him a bad person. But that still isn’t enough for Quackity to even try and speak up. Now that this is happening to him, it’s suddenly super terrible and nobody should go through this.

He’s just a person, and to have to handle all these big things, with possibly quite literally lives on the line. It’s heavy, and something I noticed is that he that he takes all the blame himself.
And being a private person should be totally okay!
Quackity is an entertainer, not our personal entertainer, but an entertainer, and a person. Work life ethic, we crossed that boundary. And that’s not okay.
He does not take the blame lol he quite literally put all the blame for the admins being abused and unpaid on other people. It was fully his role as the head of the project to make sure the workers were treated decently and he never did, but he acts like that's somehow not his fault.

No it just means that Quackity is no longer going to be an administrator and will allow someone else to handle stuff behind the scenes. The server will keep going on but it just won’t be the same :(
