I am trying to install but I can't get my hands on any actual instructions for Can-Am X3 120HP BOV Kit. I can find it on your website, but the pdf won't open for me, can you please help
Not the easiest install on my 2021 turbo r because i have a rear bench and was trying not to remove it. However, I was able to do it without accessing it from behind the seat. Hardest part was getting the vertical tube on, but after I got it on, I was able to connect to the turbo from the passenger side and finish it up there. I wanted to run the filter but was concerned it was too close to the turbo. Turned it horizontal but the most clearance I was able to get was about 3/4”. Ended up pointing it down and no filter. Hoping it doesn’t cause any issues not having the filter on. Didn’t want to take the chance having the pre-filter catch fire…especially with my kids in the car.
The changes the springs make are really dependent on each machine. So the changes they make on one, would be different on the next guys, Especially with all the different boost level and power variations of the X3.

Got mine a while ago actually got mine in 3 days best shipping and was during Christmas. Very easy to install and this blow off valve will surprise you so much great product defenitly a 10/10.
Boost operates it. its probably a lot nosier in the cab at full throttle. Its working, you just don't hear it from IN the car due to the exhaust and wind noise.
it's likely while you're cruising that you hear it, under 100% throttle if it was releasing, it wouldn't have any boost to make power so wouldn't accelerate at all.
Would installing a BOV will cause turbo to overboost? Installed mine last week amd yesterday wen out to triails and i got. A check engine code PO234 any ideas what cukd of cause this
We include the filter but we don't run one and it's not needed. The billet "cap", I assume you mean plug, is included as a tool if you ever want to remove the BOV or test for boost leaks.

As long as you’re not submerging past the intercooler. Otherwise we have a recirculation kit or you could snorkel the BOV. It can be under water, just not constantly
The "leaking" you're hearing is the vacuum. Bottom portion of the instructions. As far as rattling there isn't much for anything to rattle. Make sure the BOV is angled correctly and not hitting the turbo.
Filter goes on the end of the BOV, It acts as a muffler only, not used as a intake filter. Install always varies on mechanical ability. For what it's worth, we install these in under 10 minute at trade shows all the time.
Yes, keep it downward, this doesn't mean straight up and down just at a downward angle. If you're hearing a delay after a high speed or long run it's because there is still pressure in the charge tubes, this is normal. if you do short blips of the throttle you'll notice no delay as its actually not at max boost. Boost itself is what opens and closes the BOV.
Thanks for the quick reply, I tried to point it in the downward position but the filter touches the turbo and the top of the motor not allowing it to be in fully vertical downward position, it's at a slight 45 degree angle towards the front of the x3. I'll try it with out the filter.
hi rpm, i just installed your bov sounds super loud and love it thanks, but i have one question, i installed my bov facing the filter to my cabin in a 2 o clock position upwards, i dont ride ever in deep water or near water i live in the dessert so do you think im good leaving it in that position? i would preffer to leave the filter in place, because of dusty conditions. thanks in advance

Just put this BOV on my 2020 Turbo RR and spent 3 days loving it out in Ridgcrest over Thanksgiving. I'm just curious to why there is 2 springs in the box ? Couldn't see any differences and neither was labeled. Possibly just an extra, I don't know. Tried calling your tech support but no answer, possibly you guys are still out for the holiday. Well I'm stoked on the product, it sounds awesome, just trying to get some answers. Thanks
We recommend the softer spring ( the one that comes in it ). The Heavier spring will slightly change the tone is all. Under tips in the instructions we cover why we use the softer spring. Sorry we missed your call! 10-6pm is when we're in!

A BOV has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the tune, no fueling, no timing, no boost, no nothing is increased altered or manipulated in any way with a BOV. you WILL have better throttle response though. A BOV will in no way increase the power whatsoever.

RPM Powersports It not a difficult install but it’s not a 20 minute one on a 2020 RR. It takes that just to remove the rear rack in the back. Which needs to be removed to access the the rear intake tube from the inter cooler. I love the product, but it’s not a 20 minute install. I’m an ASE certified mechanic. Love your guys products.
@@ericmallow9650 Rear rack does not come off, behind the clutch intake tube you access the 54mm end of the tube with a flat head, and the other port on the turbo is through the access cover between the seats. Through the top with the bed off probably took much longer yes, but was unneeded and not part of the installation instructions.
RPM Powersports You can get to the the clamp fine but installing the new tube would be a pain. My hands are not that small to get in there to remove the old intake and install the new. Be happy to post pictures.

Guess I'm just getting old? BOV making noise doesn't give you any performance increase, I hear claims of better than the stock unit yet I havent actually heard anyone complain that their stock unit failed. To me this is like some kid putting a whistle in the tailpipe of a pickup truck trying to play like he has a turbo. Like I said... maybe I'm finally getting old and I dont get it anymore?
You probably haven’t heard of many stock unit failing because....... there isn’t a bov on the x3’s stock..... that’s the issue. As far as performance gains, better throttle response and prolonged turbo life. As far as noise, it’s personal preference, we offer a kit that provides all the gains and no noise as well.
The 22 is the same as the 20’s…. Which is what was filmed in this video. We install them in less than 20 minutes, no tubes need removed but everyone’s technical level is different
@@peterpann9619 You mean the non existent BOV from the factory? Every factory forced induction ever has a BOV from the factory except BRP's. Faster turbo re spool times, better throttle response, drastically longer turbo life, and increased reliability are all things that you must hate.
Total BS. Great product but it's NOT EASY, NOT A "CAKE WALK". THERE IS SIMPLY NOT ENOUGHT ROOM. CAN AM ENGINEERS HAVE SO MUCH CRAP AROUND THE CLAMPS AND TUBES IT MAKES IT A PITA.

Why is there a delay from releasing the throttle to hearing the valve-purge.
Engine drag from the CVT. You may be letting off the gas, but the clutches are still engaged propelling the motor.
Is it ok to not have the blow off valve if you go in deep water. Some water holes get deep in Florida with rain. Just wanna make sure

Sounds like a clamp was loose and it came off the intercooler or turbo.

Black cap is only used when pressure wresting the charge system, extra spring is for changing the sound of the bov.

Usually caused by a boost leak, check the clamp at the BOV.
Also, check the map sensor located on the drivers side firewall. Has a few small hoses going to it. Commonly damaged during install.

How different are a 2020 turbo r bov and and 2019 turbo r bov? I might’ve confused and ordered a 2019 because I cannot install the Silicone tube?
The 2019 silicone tube are definitely different. they are 10mm shorter and 5mm skinnier.

Is it water proof? We sometimes go in some deep stuff with the snorkels XMR.

@@fredarceo3062 It doesnt need to be completely downward, the 4 or 8 o'clock ( like on a clock) angle is sufficient.

YES!
