Couple of things not mentioned here for anyone who seriously wants to play enhance sham. 1. In wrath we still need to sync weapons, you want a mainhand and offhand that are the same speed, 2.6 weapons will be bis. If both of your attacks land within 0.5 seconds of each other, you will only consume 1 stack of flurry since it has a 0.5 second charge consumption ICD. You'll want to find a good swing timer and lookup the sync macro for this. This will give us double the uptime of flurry. 2. One thing that will be a huge dps loss if not done, or done incorrectly, is lightning bolt weaving. This is where you hard cast a lightning bolt between your auto attacks. This can be done because your stacks of maelstrom weapon decrease the cast time of lightning bolt or chain lightning. LB weaving can be done with as little as 2 stacks of maelstrom weapon, but 3 stacks is easier to pull off. Again, get a good swing timer weakaura and start hard casting LB's in between your auto's, it's very important to not clip your auto attacks while doing this. The closer your weapons are to being perfectly sync'd, the easier it is to weave. 3. We will be using double flametongue weapon for all of phase 1. The thing that makes the most sense is to put rank 10 FT weapon on both weapons, however if your weapons are perfectly sync'd or you use a stormstrike, only 1 proc of flametongue weapon will apply since it has a 0.0 second ICD (meaning you can't hit with 2 flametongues at the exact same time). To get around this you need to downrank your mainhand weapon to rank 9 FT weapon (keeping the max rank on the offhand for lava lash). also if you sim your talents, 5/5 points in ancestral knowledge is better than 2/5 AK and 3/3 improved shields. Imp shields doesn't give much dps and we benefit more from the 6% extra int. While you can play enhance shaman just fine without doing any of this, you might be unsure of why you aren't doing the same dps as others so it'll be worth your time to learn the small things.
Agreed I wrote a message saying samething this is really bad guide hopefully he takes it down so people dont learn the wrong way to play the class. This literally teaches you nothing.
I don't know how I never noticed this before, but during the intro with the old wc3 voice line I just realized he says "storm, earth and fire.. heed my call" which makes so much fucking says, for some reason in my head I thought they were saying "you're birthed in fire.. need my call"
One thing to note at around 28:30 talking about spellhance the spellhance build will use the firenova and flamgetongue glyph where as in t10 we swap to the windfury and spirit wolves glyphs and lean more towards the full enhance vs spellhance in tiers before t10
I logged onto my lvl 57 shaman ( leveled him when classic first released) he was in thunder bluff and almost overwhelmed, it’s crazy how lost you can be when you haven’t logged into a game in a while. Anyways logged off in about 10 minutes made dinner, did some stuff around the house then was welcomed back to a 2 1/2 hour Que, yeah he’s on benediction
Very new to the game. Just got my Shaman to level 20. Decided to find a guide. I picked Tauren Shaman of course. I was torn between Tauren and Troll, and went with Tauren because I just like the idea of it. I'll have to take a look at more of your vids before making any more characters. Very helpful vid, thanks!
one thing i may add tauren in open world is top teir as warstomp is great if your in a pinch to cast a heal or earthbind totem and the health buff and nature resistance will help as you find alot of nature abilitys in grizzily hills, sholazar basin and a few places in howling fjord and dragonblight not even mentioning posion damage from the dots you will encounter
"rotations pretty simple you know just cast your spells and yeah pretty simple" amazing detail, very informative, im parsing 99 with this, ty so much man
Blood fury already increases spell damage and healing in tbc, I'm actually looking at it on my bar right now lol. It still gives healing received debuff tho
Amazing content, would love to see some for other classes like dks, warriors. Though I realise how much work a video like this needs so I appreciate the work for sure. Great content
Very well put together video. I have played all 3 types of shaman(currently leveling an elemental one for alliance), and this video is one of the more composed and complete videos out there. The one thing I would add, if anything, is what professions do you think are the best for this class? The herbalism cooldown healing along with the Draenei racial really adds to the emergency healing when necessary for leveling. For that reason I chose alchemy and inscription for my shamans. Thanks for the video and I hope to see more.
For pvp tauren is bis for elemental shaman, just take a look at The astral shift talent, you'll see orc is a nerf for eles😀 Warstomp hex is so underated, because melees love training shamans.
I would still say Troll is the best race overall due to the insane berseking haste buff. the ws+hex combo is only good in 2v2 or 3v3 if you go with a standard team. I am a shaman for 12 years and I have shaman for each race and I played all of them extensively. I can comfortably say the PVP rank for elemental shaman (which I play the most) is: Troll>Draenei>Tauren>Orc. However, I do think Tauren Resto Shaman is a big thing. It could be the best Arena 2v2 Resto pick.
@@lenslo223 Mate if you have been playing shaman in pvp for 12 years you would never suggest troll to be the best race. Name me one r1 shaman player who plays troll. They're all Orc if horde. Imo, stay resto, just create a toolbar for dmg spells. Keep earthshield on yourself and win. Edit* It will be slower questing but if you intend on doing any 5mans, you'll have no issue finding a grp.
One major thing that you didnt mention for Elemental is the fact that the Fire Elemental is a major DPS increase. Especially when you snap shot it. It's the thing that makes elemental really good on P1 of Wrath. Without Fire Ele your damage will be meh. And it's typically better to just drop Magma totem for AOE packs

Tauren is best for PvP. The problem with shamans is that except for Hex, they have no hard CC, so adding one in War Stomp helps immensely. The other thing you must have as a shaman is engineering for belt granade and boots (since you have no mobility outside of Ghost Wolf). Parachute and hand rocket/haste buff help as well in PvP/PvE.
If there’s another shaman in party then healing stream totem is a go. Otherwise I opt to use MST rather than HST. Instead of glyph of HST people can use glyph of earth shield which increases its healing done per tick by 20%
For elemental oath, it says while it's active your spell damage is up and raid members get that extra chance but next two spells could be casted in no time and it would be no longer active. Am I wrong?

It's been a really really long time since I did any ele sham pvp in wotlk... Like I think it was before ICC was released 🤔 (in original wotlk I mean) so it's hard to remember everything for sure, and I guess it's possible that they change a bunch of stuff up in classic. Still, basically what I remember doing back then was just having so much fun in BGs, essentially you could just hide in the back in group fights, pick a VERY unlucky target, and proceed to drop a tidal wave of burst on their face. Basically anyone who didn't have a panic button ready to go and not on CD was doomed lol. That was like 13 or 14 years ago tbh, so I may be misremembering, especially since I switched back to primarily playing fire mage and blood/frost hybrid dk in BGs once ICC dropped for one reason or another (I can't remember why, maybe just for fun?)

regarding the NERF to hardiness (lol). they essentially removed resisting things all together so ORCS hardiness is still hands down one of the best pvp racials
Orc rated so high for healer seems a questionable in PVE. Orc, as a healer, only benefits from Command and Hardiness, as Blood Fury only works on attack & spell damage. I'd rank them no higher than Tauren in that category.
ft lvl9 on your main hand and ft lvl 10 on your off hand... for spellhance.. and your elemantal dps scales on sp.. so always take some kind of sp potion or flask just before you summon him.. cause he keeps it for his full duration... intellect is a amazing stat (times 3)... Don't make me start over pvp: Reverb is only good vs dudu heals and lava lash is a waste of gcd..
This is pretty mediocre guide. Your telling shaman the wrong rotation for enhance. Your actually never supposed to let maelstrom to get to 5 stacks. Your supposed to Lightning Bolt Weave which means u have to use a lightning bolt when your mh/ah swing time is before a certain spot so it will go through without clipping your mh/oh. You also did not explain anything about sync or stagger. how if your mh/ah are not synched you will clip one of your swings. Ect
But it’s a solid basic guide. Those things complain is mostly for hardcore progress raiders who want to Minmax like mama moans. And those I think won’t look up on yt for minmaxing

Spellhance still has not been confirmed to be a thing in wrath. Still in question if it’s just a private server build
It look like he mixed up spellhance and standard glyphs/weapon enhancements.
@@josephturrisi8036 yeah that was what i was so confused with :D
Yo fren. I need a tank shaman talent build
regarding the NERF to hardiness (lol). they essentially removed resisting things all together so ORCS hardiness is still hands down one of the best pvp racials
This was great, so much work!
Thank you so much!
Thank you.
You're welcome :)
playing only shaman since day one, bout time we are viable :)
Orc rated so high for healer seems a questionable in PVE. Orc, as a healer, only benefits from Command and Hardiness, as Blood Fury only works on attack & spell damage. I'd rank them no higher than Tauren in that category.
51:33 Smoked semen ? XD Had to laugh

Fury warrior next?
Not sure which class is next yet, but warrior will be coming soon. :)
Fleshed out. Not flushed
ft lvl9 on your main hand and ft lvl 10 on your off hand... for spellhance.. and your elemantal dps scales on sp.. so always take some kind of sp potion or flask just before you summon him.. cause he keeps it for his full duration... intellect is a amazing stat (times 3)... Back in the old days it was played wrong _--.. spellhance in pve is broken aoe --_ done right.. there ain't a class that can top it...
