I'm a new shaman and have no idea what I'm doing. Have been running around hitting things with a staff and earth shock so thanks for this.
i just started this video, scrolled to the comments and read this, thats exactly what im doing all the time :D
Never played shaman myself. Always warrior.
lol
Glad to see that you are growing Kargoz. Really informative guides! Keep up the good work!
I love that you give us the presentation. I can't thank you enough for all the work you put into your guides. They've really helped me become a better player.
So pumped to be one of the good players this go around instead of one of the bads :)
Again, for sure the best guides out there. Thank you so much for making these, so much fun watching and picturing all the advenures to come. Cheers brother
Also youre a genius thinking about earthbind kiting.. dunno how its not a thing yet
Finally people will stop complaining about you not uploading a shaman guide xD
more like finally we can get a priest guide
@@Gekk0e exactly! - just waiting for the priest one....still not sure if i wanna roll mage or priest.
Except this Shaman guide sucks.
r u kidding... his guide is fine but his reasoning behind why things work are actually troll/dumb i can't tell which
Complaining even more now cause it's strictly for Enhance. Lamest spec in entire game next to Ret Pally
No doubt man, you definitely have the best Classic wow guides out there, all of them are extremely well done.
Thanks for this guide, i used to play wow from 2005 to 2010 as warlock, warrior and rogue.
I always looked shaman with envy , especially the elem in PvP.
Lately i tried to play one on an instant 60 PvP pserver, i had a lot of fun really, so i plan to roll one for classic.thank you again for your great job, from France.
Awesome man! Looking forward to your next stream too mate
Thanks for re-uploading those Kargoz. Theyre so cozy and relaxing to watch
Kargoz your content is so good ("five outta five") that i'm hoping u'll release sooner or later an how to: level 60 guide for healing classes for example, in which u show which ranks are the best for healing, how to counteract some dynamic, the regen mana/sec value and some tips here and there. Looking forward for it and keep on the marvelous work!
Boy have I been waiting for this one, about to go on lunch break now and watch it
Thank you so much for these guides, I really look forward to getting into Classic when the official servers release!
Thanks for the guide Kargoz. I appreciate all the time you spent on this. It's really great to have all of this information in one place. I especially enjoyed the information on earthbind kiting. I've been trying that out more and really like it, it just makes a lot of sense to basically mitigate almost 50% of damage against mobs if done correctly. Cheers brother :)
The Barrens/Durotar music always gives me the feelz -- SO... MANY... MEMORIES!!!
Relbl seriously !!!
Relbl *cough* Madseason *cough*
Same
i like your intro and the usage of vanilla music, it's so beautiful
Huzzah! Shaman guide finally! Thanks Kargoz
Awesome guides so detailed and i m not even playing vanilla wow, i m just enjoying the video! Cheers m8 good work!
Thank you so much for this extremly well made video, I am coming back to WoW to finally be able to play the shaman i Played back in 2006, and thanks to you it seems I will do it much better.
Thanks man! Instant Sub.
This is so well presented. Wow this blows my mind. Im learning so much more about the class i love! Thank you
woot, i discovered you guides a few days ago and i really wanted to see the shaman one, was really happy when i saw this show up!
Where did you get your picture?
@@g3nch798 some wallpaper website probably in the last 5-10 years xD
Nice! Been so excited for this one!
Thanks dude, I was waiting for this!
Glad you paraphrased the class overview section. It made it a lot more interesting! Keep it up.
Couple things about your hamstring kiting. you have to factor in all ranged mobs as nullifying the advantage, and add in significant frequency of tight spots where kiting even within a 10 yard radius isnt feasable due to mob density, walls, or water. Though very difficult to give a high confidence estimate on, these are going to push the advantage down quite a lot. A rough guess imo is down to 20% damage mitigation by kiting overall. Also, I know that at least sub level 20 searing totem is more efficient dpm than lightning shield. You get at least 3 fireballs for 10 dmg each and potential to crit for 15 for 25 mana before a mob dies. Searing totem pulls away even more if earthbind kiting.
You can get ranged mobs to engage in melee with you by getting close to them tho
This will probably be my main guide going into classic. Thank you
Dude this is freakin badass, great guide man! Subscribed!
Just absolutely insane! Thank you so much man!
Instantly got me hooked at the start of the video. Thanks for all the info.
YO FINNALY MY MAN
u the best love ya kargoz
One of the best Classic creators right now. Stream more brother :) love the content
How are people praising the good work 25min after a 45min vid had been posted. Can we please get real?
Annnyyyways, I was frothing at the mouth for more classic leveling videos, I'm so hyped
You have me excited to play every single class! I've rolled shaman the past four servers and here I am wanting to come back for more -- thanks man!
When I was leveling a shaman for the first time I never knew what the talent tree looked like, I had to grind as hard as I could to level 10 to be able to see where the class could go, seeing that two- handed axe and mace ability was such a bad ass feeling knowing you were teaching yourself to carry something bigger and cooler if you could make it
Yay 100th like. Jokes aside been waiting a while for this one. Thanks a bunch for taking your time uploading this!
THANK YOU and other guys involved for another super guide!
Really appreciate
A comprehensive and informative guide. Many thanks!

You missed saying "33.33, repeating of course"
LOVE your videos you have helped me SO MUCH
Smashed the fuck out of that like button.
I decided out of the blue to ditch my other two chars and start a Shaman, since I wanted to aim long term (I prefer healing end-game content), and I fell in love with the Shaman; this is the most toolboxy, flexible class I've ever played and I love it. I feel like you have to constantly think about how to maximize your efficiency and you have solutions to a ton of different problems.
I heard you mention the earthbind kiting in your stream and I've been using rockbiter/2h, and you can feel the efficiency improve drastically - it even gives you time to restore your mana better if you time your lightning shields properly.
I did roll Resto Shaman based on Melderon's guide, but I'm probably going to respec into the 2h Enhancement build to kite Solo content better.
Keep doing what you do man, your content is epic!~ I hope you make some non-class related guides in the future.
Oh my Gaaawd, Enhancement Shaman in Vanilla was so much fun! I loved how I could tank stuff every so often, and using a giant hammer while casting shocks just felt so right.
Finally! The shaymin guide!!!
Awesome guide! Keep up the good work :D
I love the amount of effort you put into your videos, keep creating man!
Great guide Kargoz !
15:27 Im gonna take a sip of coffee XDD, love your Guide
Wow i learned a lot, ive been using dagger + shield with rockbitter, because i thought that windfury adds 20% 3x crit chance + normal crit which equals (1 + ( 0.4 * wf attacks) (1 + crit chance) which should be around 1.6x normal dmg with chance to overkill mob, vs rockbitter which almost double normal attack power with strength totem and I thought that would be more consistent ~2x normal dmg.
After getting lvl 40 and storm strike i decided to lookup a guide because i thought two hander must be faster with stormstrike, so i ended up here :)
Really nice tutorial.
Yeeeees! Finally, my man! Thank you! I'll watch it until I've memorized everything.
actually amazing.. wish i had time to play again. Learned so much from this
Love these Classic Wow class guides. Great job!
The breakdown for mount time vs ghost was was interesting. Love to hear these breakdowns mathwise.
I'm so hyped for the coming Priest guide!
Yes!
Keep hitting the home runs Kargoz! Great guide as always!
YES kargoz made my work day so much better
This is the most in depth guide I have ever seen in my life.
Awesome job at all these videos you are making for us, really appreciate it seriously. I started wow when molten core came and i never had so much fun gaming as I did in vanilla. Cant wait for it to come, I played shaman resto in pve and enhancement pvp so I dont know if I wanna play shaman again or mage. And guys, if you havent played enhancement pvp in vanilla you got to try it, ! Keep up the good work Kargoz, hope to see you in classic
My god this is nerdy. Good job! Love it
This guide is Nutterbutters!
I made it before tbc! Thank you. Could not have gotten shaman 60 without this.
It looks like this hasn't been mentioned, but Classic uses the same Macro API as Retail; /startattack and all of those other useful commands found in Retail macros will work in Classic (I did only test /startattack, however)
/cancelaura also worked for me to make a macro to cancel ghost wolf. Also /dismount worked for me for the same macro, it's great
Leveling an Undead Warlock first, then a Troll Shaman. Your guides are really helping me decide what to level.
What's your reason? I can't decide with warlock main or shamn I had lvl 30 warlock back on the day but never played shamn
this is what I am struggling with myself. I am thinking main lock and alt shaman. That way I save on having to respec to farm gold on my shaman, instead I can just farm on my lock for both toons
Super detailed and comprehensive video. I just wished you showed the Earthbing kiting on video. No idea how to avoid enemy attacks.
i don't think the kiting is as imperative as he says. having said that, the trick REQUIRES a swing timer (or perfect timing in your head). You want to do a circle around your earthbind. while strafing, you want to swing once, then strafe away to be out of range of the mob. when you see your swing timer coming up for the next swing, you dip in for another hit. If you do it right, you should NEVER see the "out of range" red text, and the mob should hit you right when you hit it, and not any other time. Its kind of a pain in the ass for grinding to be honest, and you will probably get sick of it and start face tanking.
I've been waiting for this one gg dude.
Great video bringing me back to my old main troll shammy
Them talent trees bring back so many memories. I did pretty damn good damage as elemental in MC/ZG. Did a lot of resto through BWL/AQ20. There's something satisfying af about that resto tree. Mana/healing tide pimpin. xD
Great guide and really excellent work. I usually check out lots of guides for retail wow to be up to date, but with Classic I think I'll just dive right into it with no addons and get my ass beaten :)
man this is awesome, thanks a lot!
Your videos on the topic is awesome.
I'm getting closer to my decision..
What I would like to see is.. perhaps too much work..
But here it goes;
A video where you lay out the questing for 1-60 for each class, but focus more on the rewards and gear part.
Where do I go for weapons, what quest chains do I start, what dungeons do I do and at what level should I consider it?
What about armor pieces?
Make it class specific..
What dungeons are relevant for a shamans gear? What zones can I skip?
A bonus; what is the best mobs to farm for gold/mounts as each class?
What about farming for the rare legendary world drops?
Great video you helped me a lot thank you!
very excited as always
Dude Kargoz ma man, these guides are amazing. Love them and they reaaaly helped me. Im trying to get the hang of earthtotem kitting but some times it just seems like im not avoiding as much, would love to see a clip of that, maybe a comparison vs front tanking and ET kitting. Take care and have fun in Classic!
sadly it is not working in classic. try using a shield+fast 1H and just facetank them down
@@limeland8312 ty mna, yeah heard about it in another video, what a shame. but i hate 1h shield :/
yo Kargoz thx shammy guide, played shaman as my first class back in vanilla( and beta)! Its epic following you and see how your stream and video-guides improve every time! keep singing in the shower it works ;)!
This is a great guide. Thank you kargoz
I've tested one more leveling tactic on Enhancement spec: use dagger and shield with WF until crit procs and flurry start working, then with macro change weapon to slow 2H with RB and atack while flurry is working. You can cast stromstrike too. When flurry is over change weapon to dagger and shield again. Repeat
Yo dude, awesome guide, thanks alot! Got one question about the aoe talent build. I'd like to get the 2h mace/axe talent to improve my dps when not tanking/doing world stuff etc, what talent would you drop for it?
Great guide, brother!!
This is amazing thank you thank you thank you!!!!
Waited ages for this
Worth it
Keep up the good work dude, haven't watched it all yet, but you never release anything that isn't incredible so
I'm really digging your series. Some of this stuff is pretty daunting, honestly. I started playing in TBC and never did any of the tricks you've mentioned in your guides, such as the sit macro, front stab/shred, etc. All the APM seems super complex. I'm guessing that unless you're going for the fastest leveling speed possible, such tactics aren't really necessary for success.
Don't worry that won't work on Classic. That is for private servers only. If it would work on Blizz servers they would patch it straight away since it's way too OP.
Front stab and shred did work in vanilla. The new engines work smoother and won't have the delay like in the old days and private servers. So most likely those spells won't work in classic
From my experience earth shock does insane aggro, never use it above rank 1 for interrupts. That thing is a taunt until level 40+!
That’s why you should only Shaman tank. Accept Shaman tanking into your life... it saved mine
I have no clue how nobody knew about Earthbind kiting for all of these years. I never played Classic but when I got to Lightbringer private server about a year ago I figured this out around lvl 16... lol. Just side strafed in a circle around my Earthbind while Flame Shock and Fire Totem went to work. Figured it was just common sense. Great guide though! Keep up the good work.
U sure put some work into these guides mate. Thanks for all your effort!
Great stuff, I plan on rolling shaman and this has definitely shed a lot of great knowledge. Is there a similar slide presentation for Classic wow profession breakdowns?
Incredible work!!
Please do shadow priest next!!;)
Love the guide. Now, im going ignore the rockbiter over WFW part tho. Huge overkills and mobs hp disappearing from 100-0 is some of the best fun while leveling a sham :)
And is the equivalent of inefficiency.
@@t3chn0dr0n3 who cares about efficiency? The game is about having fun, and windfury is the most fun ability a shaman has!
I never played a shaman until the end of Legion. It's now my favorite class.
Thanks for this guide ! I'm going to play rsham on lvl 60. Is still a good idea to do my leveling with the enhancement spec ? I'm wondering if the element spec is more efficient in this case (to have a basic healer stuff when i'll reach my 60). Any advice ?
Not bad. Definitely rolling a shaman when classic comes out. I'll remember this
Hey new subscriber cause of this and your pally vids.
One question, I saw your enhance 2h talent build on another site, or at least a variation of it, it was labelled as the pvp build. Would you say that that build is also really good/optimal for a more pve focused player??
Thanks, awesome guide, and I’ve downloaded the presentation so I can follow and check out the other vids. Thanks again!,
Would love thoughts on levelling resto and builds. Feels like its our strongest end game and I'd like to heal 5mans on the way.
Nice guide Kargoz, only youtuber that I know of who actually gets opinion from multiple good players to compile a useful guide. Most people just google the default stuff and pretend they know shit.
YES! My favourite class.
YAY THIS IS WHAT I WANTED SINCE PALLY
For tanking you should always use stoneskin, healing stream totems, they are op. Pull groups with lightning bolt on one target, while it travels, cast chain lightning on another target. Cheers!
I couldn't decide what class to play so I listed all the classes and the major pros, cons and differences between them, told my gf to pick one for me. She glanced at it for 2 seconds and said "sheimen".
does earthbind kiting work now?
FINALLY DUDE! YAASSSSS 👌
Never realized how deep the shaman is before. Damn cool to see.
Hi. I just found your guide for classic wow. I have a question: why shouldn’t we use stormstrike on one-hander build?
This was extremely helpful as i plan to level as shaman. Hoping to go enhancment for pvp ASAP. (Wish me luck with that ill prolly need it.)
Hey @Kargoz any thoughts on a 4 shammy 1 Druid dungeon spamming.. infinite battle revives seems fun and all the totem utility at once would be strong.
