HEY Y’ALL! Merina is my name and Mobile Home Livin’ is my thang! Around here I’m known for mobile home makeovers and large family mobile home livin’! I used to do mobile home livin’ in a trailer park in Tennessee. We’ve set out on a new journey and bought our dream home - a double wide mobile home on some acreage in the hills of Tennessee! We’re a homeschooling family of 6 & we are crazy about Jesus!
My community is one of the most loving, kind, and welcoming communities on this platform so pull up a seat and stay awhile 🥰

When you can, start an envelope for a small pressure washer. That may be all you need to wash the porch off when needed. I love to pressure wash my porches. Love your channel. You have a precious family❤️

We lived outside as youngins! No such thing as video games, cell phones or even cable most of the time! Outside was the place to be until it got dark and was made to come in! When the porch light turned on and off, we knew it was close. The second time we knew the fun was almost over...the third time we knew we better head for the house!😂

Merina, I have to tell you, I have been suffering from terrible pregnancy nightmares and insomnia and something that truly helps me is turning a video of yours on and lying down to relax before bed. Your spirit and voice calm my nerves and get me to sleep peacefully. I really hope you know that even over a screen, the Lord is using you to help people. I appreciate you more than I can explain, especially in this season of life for me. God bless you, friend ☺️☺️

I had to take Otis to the vet today driving back-and-forth just for his annual, and I had my ladies Bible study tonight at seven on zoom and I was telling the pastor’s wife afterwards that you know I thanked God immensely for getting there and going home safely ❤it doesn’t have to be this extravagant thing to thank the Lord for it. It is the little things that I am so grateful for.. thank him for everything even if things that we take for granted like going back-and-forth to an appointment or grocery shopping. You never know when your last day will be here but God, He can do anything. I have an attitude of gratitude for Him every single day.

Merina electronics, in my opinion is what is tearing families apart…. with phones tablets, t.vs… conversations have stopped, playing outside????? Kids don’t even do much of that anymore. It did my ❤ full when I did see the kiddos playing and running around, getting that Vitamin D in. You’re hitting it out of the park…. In all aspects. You all are phenomenal, kiddos, parents/DIYers❤❤❤❤❤❤

I think balance is key, which is what is severely lacking nowadays. My parents were strict about screen time on schooldays and more relaxed during vacation. If the weather was bad or if we were sick we usually got a little more. But when the weather was nice we would spend as much time as possible outside.
It also helped that we didn't have cable, so lots of times there was nothing good on anyways and playing was more fun 😂

IMO you need a railing around the entire porch that way there is with only one open space from the steps over to the door this will direct the traffic flow on the porch so that everyone has to come one way from the driveway to the door…also as long as dogs and kids are running around, consider an outdoor Astro-turf type runner from the one open space in the railing to the door that will catch mud… and everyone has to step on…I know they are tacky but you can find some nicer ones…just a thought…

Hi there, have some fridge tips for you. #1 put either paper towels or old clothes place mats in your vegetable drawers and try to clean and change every 2 weeks.
#2 ut plastic wrap on the shelves so if they get dirty just change the plastic wrap.
#3 try to condense some of the things you have double or triple of, dressings, ketchup, steat sauces ect.
#4 try bins to hold smallt items, juice pouches, fruit cups, ect.
Hope this helps a little. I've found if I make a menu and organize my food I have less science experiments, lol.

Just a suggestion, but n the winter I stack all my lawn furniture or porch furniture and stack it, put the cushions under something and put a big tarp over it, also I buy a big outdoor mat and put it by the back door, most of the mud goes on that, you can power wash it later or just get rid of it, if ya don’t pay to much for it, also put a rug inside by your door. Works for me.

I had started watching this video this morning and then paused it until later so that I could go to an interview. When I unpaused it, it was the moment of breakdown and humbling from the Lord and just exactly what I needed to hear in that moment. I have been going through a lot, my family is suffering through some difficult times and in what seems like is an impossible situation. We need to find a place to live and are definitely depending on Jesus to make a way where there isn't one and to send his guidance and help to a family member that seems impossible to help or deal with. I'm dealing with extreme anxiety again and feeling as if my body is shutting down at times with all the stress. Jesus is the only reason I go on. Period. So thank you so much for the reminder.

You spoke of parenting your children and it made think back to when I was a teenager ( this was the early 80’s) and babysitting for a family that had two children. Those two parents never spoke down to their children always treated them with respect. In turn, the children gave them respect as well. So I was shown a very good way to interact, and always looked up to that young couple. That is how I raised my son when he was born 30 years ago. I chose to speak to him as an equal. In doing so, we have a very good relationship. A couple of years ago, I ran into that young couple and I told them that they were my role models and I appreciate everything they taught me. Good parenting is a skill… and a rewarding one. Enjoy your kids! And amen to the no electronics decision! 💜.

First off-I love your pants! lol. The best part of this video for me was the kids playing in the yard. I loved watching that while you cleaned the deck. Then at the end you told us about why they were outside and I think that was the best parenting! I love the yard zombies by the way. 🧟🧟‍♂🧟‍♀

We do the same thing with our kids- as soon as they start bickering, arguing, and fussy we immediately say y’all need to take a break from the tablets and get outside! Our boys love outside- and when we say that they will not fight us and run straight to the door and will play outside all day and night if they could.

My mother was a gentle parent. She talked to us about things. As a result, if we ever did anything we shouldn't and she told us how disappointed she was, it broke our hearts. We were good because we didn't want to hurt her or have her disappointed in us.

Merina, always stay humble and continue to give God the glory. He will give you blessings beyond your imagination. I clean the leftovers out every Tuesday night. Trash day is Wednesday. lol. Wiping down the frig well not so much. I tell myself I will start doing it on my cleaning weekly schedule. It hasn’t made the cut yet. 😊. I absolutely love you and the family and the videos.

You should have your own series, so I can binge watch it every Sunday on a gloomy winter day. I would love that!! I for one have missed you so much, but I appreciate you have a lot to do, and can't video every single minute. You are all an inspiration. I too, am blessed to have a won derful family, an amazing hubby, a daughter who helps me immensely, even after working, ( my kids are grown ),and I have so much in common with you, in that I also have a son who is autistic, thankfully, he is pretty high functioning, and a sweetheart. We are all very close, like your family, and my kids have never given me an ounce of trouble. You work so hard for your family, and I love you for that. Your kids are lucky to have you and your multi talented hubby, Shane, who cracks me up when he does the grocery haul 😂, as the awesome parents you are. Don't ever change ❤. Can't wait for the next video 👍❤❤❤❤.

    Another great video! 🥰
Y’all need a couple of 6ft folding tables. They work great for cutting/sanding wood, working on projects and need a surface for putting stuff on, cleaning out the pantry & fridge, folding laundry, buffets & extra table/counter space. They come in so handy!! I now have 4 that I have bought throughout the years.

When we first started our homeschooling journey 10years ago I realized my oldest had worse behaviors the more screen time he had so we dropped all screen time during school days. As he got older we strategically used screens once a day or twice for a subject like language, and lately math but he’s still that way and we’ve kept it like this to help all our kids. Outside makes a huge difference!!!

Decorative rock around the deck. It will allow for drainage and collect some of the dirt being drug in from the yard. It's relatively inexpensive by the ton . Love your acknowledgement and praise of God always.

You always keep it real in a humorous way. BTW, I love your parenting. Your kids appear happy and well adjusted! Well done, momma!!! ❤😊
