Tip: to thread the needle morr easily, put the tip of the thread/yarn in your mouth. This moists the tip of the thread/yarn, brings the threads together, and makes it easier to thread it through the needle.
If you like blunt needles you would probably like Tapestry/Cross Stitching as those use blunt needles. You also typically use a blunt needle when sewing knitted fabrics because sharps have the potential to rip the weave and with loose knits tearing the weave can cause it to fall apart. Obviously you can't use a blunt needle on heavy weight fabrics since the needle can't punch through that but it's still interesting to learn to sew with a blunt needle on light fabrics (like socks and knitted fabric) ^.^

Even sewing teachers teach you how to use a pattern. I know many professionals who use patterns. Using a pattern is a good asset to have as a sewer. Especially since using one pre-made allows the sewer to learn how to make their own patterns which in no way is cheating.
@@PsychosisFun I'm asking my fiance for like 30 patterns for Christmas 🤣 And I have some clothes I plan on deconstructing to make a pattern out of those
