A UA-cam channel I watch frequently can be found searching tideline art! The channel owner, Nichola White does mudlarking, searching the Thames in London for historical artifacts. She sometimes picks up broken China or pottery, and whether hand painted or transfer wear, just how the tide and time left it came be most interesting. There can also be Roman or medieval pottery. The foreshore of the Thames in London is the largest archeology site in England. Seeing your video reminded me of the finds of my favorite mudlarker!

My mom's mother's china, one of the boxes took a horrible fall on moving the set. A friend felt horrible. I took it with me anyway. I always hoped to something with it. Has gold on handles. Wishing I had saved a family heirloom that was destroyed by kittens last year. Would have dried those tears faster if I had this option to repurpose.

@@LadyMaryBeth aww. So sorry. Thank you. I've had this box with broken china since 2011! I had many tears myself. Imagine the age of the China. It's white with delicate soft pink flowers. I do have some plates and few serving pieces. so making pieces in jewelry makes me happy! So sorry for errors. Ph changes things. Take care. You are so delightful.

So glad u did a video on this subject!I've been looking for a place like this forever! I'll definitely check into it. I've always wanted to learn the craft. Being a retired mil spouse, it would have come in handy w all the broken dishes! lol Can't wait to see what can be done w one of my favorite plates. 💖

Hello Lady Mary Beth the jewelry is very beautiful. I wished I had kept the broken pieces from the Tea Pot which was the Queens Diamond Jubilee. I had purchased the limited Tea Pot from the Buckingham Palace online store but it came broke. To get a replacement since they were numbered I had to prove with pictures and sign a document stating that the Tea Pot was broken and so they issued me another Tea Pot with the same number as there were only 500 made. Its part of the Royal Collection in a very beautiful baby blue and gold with her coat of arms.

Glad they issued you another teapot. Wish we had all known to keep the broken pieces. My cat broke a family heirloom and I threw away the pieces. Too sad to look at the destruction.

Those Greek spode pendants made me swoon. They seem to be sold out on their website though. Will look out for something else. I know you've mentioned rodeo season in the past, do you actually go? I'm from Chicago so I find the idea thrilling.

We usually go to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo every year. It’s always an experience and lots of livestock exhibits. Of course, we go for the musical performances, too. There is the BBQ Cook-off that kicks off the season. Great time of the year to live in Houston.

@@LadyMaryBeth Please do show us one of your looks when you go! I remember being so impressed with a picture I saw of Mrs. Lynn Wyatt on Pinterest with all of her western wear and turquoise jewelry. I don't recall if she was going to the rodeo or some other event but she looked gorgeous.

I think this is a great idea for china that's already broken, but I have to say the idea of intentionally destroying china, especially fine china like Lenox and Wedgwood, kinda disturbs me. To each her own, I suppose!

I get that, but sometimes there is a single plate or cup at a thrift store that is begging for new life.
