Honestly the writers have to see all these comments about everyone being disappointed and upset about their storyline, so hopefully Otis and Ruby do have another shot in season 4. I mean it’s definitely possible because he still does like her a lot… but i hope they do it right and honestly him and Maeve are over. I’m tired of that dragged on storyline for 3 whole seasons. I hope Otis does get with Ruby and they do it right💯. They both found their perfect partners. Otis and Ruby. Isaac and Maeve. They bring out the best in each other.
They keep chasing one another. When it’s time for them to get together, oh oops something happened and you guys can’t be together. It was entertaining until season 3. Especially after Otis and Ruby.
We will probably get ruby and otis as endgame since the actress that plays maeve could leave the show

Episode 3 played them up so well with bowling and her dad. I think they should have not had Ruby say I love you then. They should have did France trip first Otis and Maeve still have their gas station moment. Ruby sees them then confesses she loves Otis . Like I love you Otis and I want to be with you but do you want Maeve. Because them splitting up would make more sense. Because episode 3 again had such good chemistry your like wtf why wouldn't Otis love her back.

Considering the show writers only gave them 3 Episodes and it still clicks to the Fans means they have a very good chemistry, they literally found a gem for the show right there.

It shouldn't matter to Ruby what's going with Maeve, and I don't thinkit does.......Otis likes Ruby and she should have given him time to fall for her.......she expected too much too soon

Agree, I think this is the first time Ruby steps out of his "Mean Girl" Armor and really fell hard for someone, that's why when She confess her love to Otis she immediately expected to get the same response.

Otis liked Ruby but fortunately or unfortunately he still had feelings for Maeve. That's why he didn't say he loved her.

not the writers doing a maeve/otis slowburn for 2 seasons and it only took these two 3 episodes for us to forget about maeve/otis.
and oh, other than ruby/otis, i really loved that scene with maeve/isaac where they kissed and made love. it was so intimate and beautiful. so genuine. the whole maeve/otis after the S3E5 just felt forced

Honestly I didn't think I would like them as a couple but somehow I ended up rooting for them and not for Otis and Meave lol Ruby's character development was amazing and I wish they had explored their relationship a bit more before Otis called it quits. I'm sure Ruby would've soften up for Otis and opened up as time went by. Great edit as usual!!love the song choice

Honestly I get it why Otis said what he said -- he simply wasn't ready. I understand Ruby being upset that Otis didn't feel the same way at the moment. But if you looked from Otis perspective, Ruby was always being mean to him. I do think Otis would have easily fell in love with her in due time, the same I felt when we all saw the real Ruby at home. Otis never got to see the real her, which is why he couldn't love her yet. But Ruby has always seen the real Otis, which is why they fell for him first. It upsetting because, I felt Otis really liked her, and it was a matter of time before he loved her too. Please Netflix gods, give me more Rotis!
So end of the day, my takeaway for people reading this comment. Don't expect the person you love to say "I love you" just because you said it. Putting it out there kind of gives a que to the other person that you want to take this relationship seriously. You should probably give it some time before they say it back to you - two people can fall in love with each at different pace.

I think Ruby is so much more interesting going forward. Terrifying like Otis said but interesting and then to see Ruby change into a very lovely lady perfect for Otis.

I just can’t stop thinking how much Jackson and Ruby are actually alike “in essence”. ( I mean the storyline and the meaning of their appearances ) Maeve and Jackson as well as Otis and Ruby were casual initially, and somehow, the two pairs got together officially. And then, they started dating for a few months. However,during the time they were dating, both Maeve and Otis found that they have nothing in common with their partners and that they don’t LOVE their partners at all. Coincidentally, what happened next was that both Jackson and Ruby somehow showed their fragile and vulnerable parts to their partners ( Jackson’s mental problem and Ruby's family problem) , and then, both Jackson and Ruby confessed to Maeve and Otis respectively that they LOVE them. And of course this freaked both Maeve and Otis out. So eventually, Maeve and Otis decided to face their own hearts and told Jackson and Ruby the truth.
The storylines are apparently THE SAME on the whole. As for the reason why they appeared and became Otis' and Maeve's partners, I think for one, the writer wants to make Otis and Maeve “grow up” and understand what they TRULY want; for another, I guess the writer wants to tell us that “sometimes, the people we like don’t like us back, and it’s painful, but we just can’t make people like us.“
However, interestingly, no one wants Maeve to be with Jackson back in season1, whereas now that so many people are shipping Otis and Ruby even if the two storylines are basically the same.( Not to mention Jackson treated Maeve much more better than how Ruby treated Otis!) I feel really disappointed and sad. Can it be that people want Otis and Ruby together ONLY because Ruby is beautiful?
I just don’t know why this happened when the two storylines are so much alike.
Honestly I get you but everyone wants ruby and Otis because both of them make more sense than meave and Otis and tbh Otis does like ruby but he is just scared on committing towards her because they both different people and he wants someone who’s like him (which is no problem) but when you find someone who’s exactly like you, overtime you just get irritated of each other and want someone different. Tbh I think meave never really liked Jackson that’s why nobody cared as much for them because it seemed forced and it just seems like only Jackson was trying whereas with Otis, he actually liked ruby, he didn’t love her yet but he liked her a lot, he was happy she was opening up to him, he got involved in her life, bantered with her father and just enjoyed her company but he wasn’t there yet with loving her if that makes sense, I think he needs grow up and realise him and meave are just not meant to be, look at how many times they had chances to tell each other they liked each other but things happened, that should’ve already been a sign they are not good for each other. Meave and Isaac makes a lot of sense to because both of them get each other, so the writers should put them back together. Ruby and Otis are different but make sense, they challenge each other, ruby is comfortable with Otis than anyone and Otis is easing up with her and understanding her. I think deep down he loves her but he isn’t there yet, it’s just going take time but the writers should put them back together tbh.
The reason IS because we knew the real Jackson but we didn't know the real Ruby, she always has a facade. The Ruby's carácter development this season was Amazing on the contrary Jackson didn' have any when he was with Maeve.

otis being single again will have more time with the "clinic" helping new
characters with their sex lives.

I think they should start off the season with a new character to replace Maeve because we assume she’s in America and this new girl is very beautiful who is also interested in Otis. We know this because she asked Otis if he’s free to hang where Ruby saw and gets jealous. This will have an impact because it shows those watching that Ruby still have feelings for him and she can’t lose him however she does nothing and tries hooking up with guys and she takes a turn and starts hooking up with jocks. Just to remind, Otis still cares about Ruby but is unclear to show his feelings towards her because of how they broke up and he doesn’t have any interest in the new girl until Otis then catches Ruby making out with one of the football jocks. It was then where Ruby saw how heartbroken he was and the mistake she made but it was too late as Otis just gives up on dating anyone. He hangs out with the new girl only to find out that she is bisexual, not only that but she is interested in Aimee. Aimee is still shy about her body and isn’t ready to date another guy, but not a girl because she always thought that you should date the ones that your heart beats really fast so these two started hanging out and soon enough the new girl makes a move on Aimee but she gets scared and runs away. She tries to call Maeve but she doesn’t answer, in fact she hasn’t talked to anyone since she left. Aimee is alright and walks back to her and they talk again, where she starts to feel or comfortable with her. Ruby is really upset and tries to make amends with Otis by showing up to his house only to find Jean there, where she’d ask to be a therapist in relationship. At first Jean was unclear to accept her but she does and they start to talk. Ruby tries to explain her situation but Jean knew and tells her that whatever she feels, she should go for it and she does. She waits for Otis where Otis ignited her walking past and goes upstairs to his room. Ruby doesn’t want to give up, so she goes upstairs too and waits outside his door. She starts to talk about what happened between them, how she felt hurt and betrayed, that the one person she loved so much doesn’t think of her the same and she was scared but she now understood the pressure it would give to say that to someone whom they’ve only dated for a couple of weeks. Until Otis admits that he did and was going to talk to her to tell her that he loves her until he saw her with someone else. He opens the door and she hugs him, they then look into each other eyes and made up

He deserves Maeve! He deserves to be with her, he wants to, wills to be with her, he thinks she’s his person and most importantly, OTIS frickin’ LOVES MAEVE! He frickin’ earned it! So IT SHOULD BE OTIS AND MAEVE! It has always been them, it is them and it should always ALWAYS be them! And that is it!
