As someone who just soldered 4 omron switch back buttons on his ds4 and added digital triggers, im soooo excited to do this. Ive been trying to figure out how to do just this but I didn't have the funds to order many mice (only had one wireless at home) and im not as experienced in inventing lol. But im glad to know I can order a cheap wired mouse now. Any specific ones recommended?

I purchased the controlla scrolla and use it on Xbox series s and x on a power a fusion pro controller for editing and edit reset and it works great even though others say it won’t or doesn’t. The only thing I don’t like about it is the scroll wheel click button isn’t built into the wheel but mounts across from it. The scroll wheel button doesn’t work every time I press it unfortunately so I don’t use it but the wheel itself does and is awesome. I would like to compare your product to it to see if I can get the click function to work so I can bind it to a weapon slot or whatever. I am concerned though that your design may be to big to put onto a controller with paddles such as mine or the Xbox elite.

You can easily make a paddle/scrollwheel setup from one.
I have a full custom project ongoing using one, and it's been pretty fun.
Just make sure you get a mouse that doesn't have a sleep mode.

Hello! Great video! So.. I have my mouse (basic $20 Logitech) apart and it seems to me that there is a LED on one side of the wheel, and a light sensor on the other side. In the video, I only see you removing one of these.
Do I need to use a cheaper mouse? Or do I need to use both emitter and receiver?
I imagine other may have this issue too..

What are you sticking the abs plastic sheets together with? Some form of epoxy? And is 1/16 in the best size? 1/8 is probably a little too big to work with without tools?
