I want to go back on time and move back to the old good days! London was my city during the mid 90's. Look at those people queuing to make a call! We didn't have mobile devices, computers (well the majority of us don't) but we had real friends, real love!! And London was an almost "affordable" city. You could easily find a room to live in! And what do we have now (besides twenty-two years more)? All my friends are gone (to Australia, the States, and many other locations ...). Missing ...
I studied abroad in London from 1996-1997 and it was literally my most favourite year of my life. I have been back since and it is not quite the same city anymore. Seeing all those old sites and adverts for shows make me so nostalgic. I may have to go back and watch EastEnders clips of Ian getting shot 😊. I reckon SegaWorld was at the Trocadero back then too. Northern Line was such rubbish back then. Barkerloo and Central were always my favourites as they had some of the nicest rolling stock at the time. I’m surprised they let you film footage in the Tube stations and on the train as I recall we were told that was not permitted due to concerns about terror (what with the IRA bombing at the time).
UA-cam is full of 80s-90s film footage on the underground, so I'm guessing the rules weren't applied strictly. But I think it got stricter since 9/11, and phone cameras, now we are all paranoid about filming commuters.

12:38 the classic "golf sale" sign lol
i was 21 having the time of my life...
this is November 1997 - Forgot what a big Deal Capital FM was :)
An interesting snapshot of life in London in the mid-1990's.
The only thing that annoys me about these old videos is that they are always shot in Central London, there is so much more to London than Central
The biggest changes in London happened in the 30 years between 1960 and 1990. Not so much has changed since then in my opinion.
You are older now so you may feel thay way but to millennials a lot has changed since the 90s
I feel alot has changed from this time. 1997 onwards things had started to change.
Not a mobile phone in sight
Oh what sharp eyes you have!!
Been there once, in London, in October 1996.

For the countless millions who are searching and wondering, and to save massive disappointment, I am NOT in this video.
Love it Mark. And thanks for the brilliant upload @@mark5uk-music989
Thanks great video cheers
Nice footage.
Used to be up town for the pubs or just walking around admiring the sites. These days it's lost its sparkle

Girl at 2:35 scared me
I’m not too sure if it’s someone standing there or she’s part of the poster. It’s spooky nevertheless.
