Where are jobs here?? I am a truck driver and it was very difficult for me to find a job here. My cousin was working in finance in Ontario and here he is neither able to find a job in Finance nor he is able to find any warehouse job.
I have lived 4 years in GTA and also lived in calgary for 4 years. I can tell you from my experience that 4 year in calgary was the best time of my life in canada. It was peacefull and less stressfull. Most importantly people were very nice in alberta in general. I was working as a US-Canada truck driver. But now i have moved to USA but i still miss calgary.

In Calgary everthing looks good in short time but when you start searching for jobs there aren't many jobs there & its getting hard for people to even afford these so called 'cheap houses'. Beware guys your work comes first before getting your house.
My kids went to Edmonton in sep 2019 and completed their studies in 2021 may. In January 2022 they are able to purchase their house in Edmonton at 3.75 with only 18000 down payment.

Don’t just move here for house prices. The reality is different!! The income is low comparatively to Ontario or BC. Thats why house prices are lower than BC or ON. People think they are just moving within Canada & presume that you will find same jobs with same income in Alberta but they won’t. I know many families who moved to Alberta due to house prices but now they are regretting & saying they won’t see any future growth there.. There incomes have declined badly!!
