NOW many homes make Ghee from the cream which floats when milk is boiled and kept for cooling.The fresh cream so obtained is accumulated in a glass vessel/ bottle with lid and kept in fridge.When the quantity becomes reasonable heat it like butter to take out the ghee. Reason is practical.People have no excess milk and Yoghurt or curd has limited use and still low for the residue called buttermilk once butter is removed. BUTTER REMOVED BUTTERMILK, IS LIKE WHEY WATER.
I remembered my summer vacations.My paternal and maternal grandmother's used to do this method for getting butter from butter milk.We used to have fresh butter.Yummy

My wife is very very fond of and use to this work ........we understand a little bit all Our Indians languages other than South it is totally different though we found some our word like " namaskaram, bhakshanam ,sundaram, abhinandanam " few wards of ours. My mother used to churn cream curd and make butter, i remember eating butter with dose, idly ect. Now i collect cream in a vessel, keep it in the fridge till it is full. Then transfere it to a round bottom gundi and churn with a machine that workd like a churner. Within two munutes butter or navaneeth comes up. I heat the butter and get ghee. Collect ghee in another vessel. I donot buy ghee from outside, homemade ghee is sufficient for my family. Thankyou Bhat'n'bhat for showing this process of ghee making.

Great. What I do is Collect Full Cream into a Vessel 2 times a day. Keep that Vessel inside Freezer. Collect for a month. Then make Curds. Next day morning add Ice cubes n separate the Butter In the Mixer . Or do it by Hand. Separate the Butter n Buttermilk. Store Butter inside Fridge. Wash it 4 to 5 times in Fresh water n then make Ghee. Butter separating inside Bottle must try . 😀😁

Try making curd from normal milk and then churn to get good buttermilk after butter is taken out.
