I just made this for my family tonight and thought I’d share that my masala was less smooth after using an electric blender! I love seeing the cooking tools you use that modern kitchens don’t have anymore and how well they work.
Definitely a meal I would make again, the fresh paneer was so delicious!
I too use blender or mixer to prepare masala and gravy. Its faster and less messy but this traditional stone grinder gives much better results. I dont have much space in my apartment otherwise i would have kept a suitable size stone grinder in my garden at my native place. Even electric version is available which mimics human hand motion.

They were displaying English subtitles few months ago. They need someone to sit down and translate as GOOGLE or UA-cam translation will not be able to pick up (Google translates with only mainstream Urban cities lingo) their pure and chaste way of speaking Tamil.
