So Jaina Proudmoore has a sad history. When she was young she was apprentice to the Archmage Antonidas, the leader of the group called the Kirin Tor and the city of Dalaran. When Arthas became the Lich King, he led the Scourge(which is what they call his undead army) to destroy Dalaran. Jaina was ordered to escape with as many refugees as she could and sail west to the continent of Kalimdor. There they founded a city called Theramore. Unfortunately for her, her father sailed there after her. He believed she was in danger because of how close Theramore is to the Horde capital of Durotar. Her father, Daelin Proudmoore, was the leader of her people on the island of Kul Tiras. He hated Orcs because of all the wars the orcs have had with the humans. Jaina had already made peace with the Horde but her father would have none of it. He brought troops and attacked the Horde. When the Horde retaliated Jaina ordered her own forces to step down and allow the Horde into Thereamore. She choose peace over her father. Her story gets even more complicated, when years later, the Horde gets a new leader who is a warmonger named Garrosh Hellscream and he destroys Theramore with basically a nuclear bomb. Jaina currently hates the Horde and has given up the chance for peace. Jaina's people, the Kul Tirans, hate her for betraying her father so they sing this song about her. When she tells the ghost of her father that she's listening now it's because Daelin would tell her how the Horde are monsters and can't be trusted.
True, and sadly the Horde is currently doing a great job of supporting his claim on the overall scale of things... But frankly story telling has gone so weird, that I kinda stopped following it now. There's no redeeming even the new horde as an organization now, and it looks through prophecy, as if they're looking to finally condemn the Alliance aswell. So I just gave it a shoulder shrug, and gave up on the story, along with the floundering game itself. Story telling hasn't really been great since Wotlk-Cata. I came back for Legion, for there they finally did a good job again - For a moment. But they sunk it all in the next expansion, and activision has now completely taken over Blizzard.
@@Nyarlathotep_Flagg Blizzard botched the story. Deviations began at the Mists of Pandaria but after that it gradually turned from bad to worse. Some expansions were better but only because they changed the focus of the story from the main line. And now it is a complete trainwreck.
@@nixnavarro5814 I'd say it began late stage Cata mostly. But yes. In general, that is true. There are few things in this world that I would like more than to go back in time and relive the glory days of WoW, with Wotlk... Or play many of the other great games that came out back then, before the dark times.
