Sometimes if they are good players I will give one person all 4 off my charters weekly exotic. Thanks for making these guides because it's challenging trying to explain all this information to new people while playing!

For new players, it would be great to mention to craft weapon mods and to keep checking the weapon mods section once a week to see if you have new ones.

Brilliant guide Hutchie Wutchie! just couple of things I thought of: 1. expertise on specialisation weapons are exclusive to each character, but expertise on skills apply across all characters. 2. after completing WONY on your new character, to benefit from the new watch points you need to buy shared blueprints and materials from Inaya back at the White House.

loved this game for years and enjoyed Division 1 but fell off after a while on XB1. 1 year later and just getting the PC version i was looking forward to using the recalibration station again. thanks for this and helping me rejog this memory.
If you want to cut down the donations for expertise wear 6 pieces of one gear/brand set while gathering them from countdown so about 2 or 3 runs you’ll have whatever you want proficient. For your named and exotics you can add them to your second character if you’re full on inventory space. This way you can focus on your named and exotics without worrying about mixing your gear. You can also run a 4 man while they have the same loot drop as you

Still can't fathom this system completely. At least in Division 1 it was so much more straightforward, and 1 is still superior in my opinion. They should make Division 3 like 1, with only the best parts of 2 brought over, like upgrading the watch, speciality field research resources and talents.
When I do wony I roll max damage to my gear, hope to find 1 max rolled attribute, so I can have 2 max rolls on a level 30 to 39 pieces. Found a skill bp with bloodsucker and rolled max weapon damage to it, it also has a high headshot roll on it.
It's insane how grindy and mind boggling this game is. The worst part in tinkering for me is the optimization, because I can't always find max rolled items. It's such a painful waste of time.
The biggest mistake I did was I reached world tier 5 and held off doing wony I full maxed every stat in the recalibration library Only to find out level 40 existed

@hutchler how do you unlock the tactical assessments to use for crafting? I’ve done projects but it’s not unlocking any of them for optimization at the crafting table. I’m trying to unlock them all so I can craft them
I did not understand the WONY new character part. Create a new character and do what exactly? And how does that help my main character that I am seeking resources for?
If you complete a WONY run with a new char you can share ressources between the characters. As Hutchler mentioned most likely interesting for high SHD level players. Buy share Blueprints and mats @Inaya at the crafting table.
Sorry, should've given a bit more information on this. Basically, if you create a new character, select 'level 30 boost' from the menu (aka go straight to the WONY campaign) then complete the campaign, when you finish, the new character will have a watch with completely refreshed scavenging points (aka like the SHD 10,000 example I put in the video)
I've been trying to tell new players to never never never never recalibrate the first two lines on a weapon, ever. Then went to farm a dark winter in dz with them only to them the day after see them with said dark winter with recalibrated base damage
The game is a grind now I’m at 21 the next grind is getting my weapons to 21 that’s a lot of rinse and repeating lvl 30 characters for the exotics lucky I’m over 11000 SHD
12:00 mathematically isn't credits the lowest expertise per SHD level rather than printer filament? 1 SHD = 10 printer filament. Alternatively 1 SHD point = 10k credits, which nets you two mods at ~4500 each, which = 12 printer filament. Obviously this takes a bit longer, but may be worth it for people who don't have several thousand spare SHD levels to spare, because it saves you 70+ SHD points if leveling an item from zero to max proficiency.
I am one of those who had several thousand spare. I just went printer filaments. The time investment for then buying individual Mods to then deconstruct is too great, sure it is more efficient in terms of cost, but in terms of time . . . . not even close. Depends on your priority.
@@hutchler That's a fair point, but until/unless the devs fix the various issues with Countdown (matchmaking into wrong regions, random disconnects etc), it's also kinda hard to test practically anyway. @Dod-Regnbue If I had your SHD levels, I'd be cool with taking the easier option as well :p I figured I'd throw the point out there for those of us mere mortals with only a couple of thousand SHD levels. Of course at that point I'd actually recommend people not worry about speedrunning to max proficiency anyway, but I know they're gonna, and I figure for some people the bit of extra time buying mods and saving a bunch of SHD levels in the long run may be worth it.

I'm a UK player, why tf am I landing in Asian countdown? xD It'd be hard to test even without the issues, as loot drops are just RNG - someone may hit expertise 21 in half the time as another person, even though the two did the exact same thing. Agree on the speedrunning to max front, too. I also think people should avoid getting to 1k SHD as fast as possible - it does nothing but accelerate burnout due to lack of content!

How do you get such a high SHD level? I have watched so many videos on this and all it seems to be is either an exploit that isn't patched yet or convoys which is so damn slow considering how few of them there are

I wonder if you or anyone can help me, I am trying to get Belstone on my level 30 character crafting station, I have it on my level 40 character but even though I have shared my level 30 character blueprints etc, I don't have the Belstone there to craft. I want to make a armour regen build for farming Exo components in the dz.... It must be possible as a friend of mine has the Belstone in the level 30 bracket crafting station, any ideas, Thanks guys
Also for new players just cause someone has a high shd level doesn't mean they are good at the game I have noticed most over 4k are horrible at the game which is funny cause those same players kick low players from count down prime example was in countdown with half over 5k now one lower than 1k and couldn't even complete countdown didn't activate anything just ran around trying to kill things while getting downed constantly , or running skill builds which would get hacked and kill them , so that sure sounds like a legit 5k player , there use to be a cheese farm and most high lvl players are cheese players and are bad at the game
Have meet alot more players under 1000 shd that are amazing, and makes me laugh at those 7 8k players that don't even know your skills get hacked and thats what killed you

i wish there was a way to require all the new steam players to watch this video... so sick of joining random heroics with a dude who's shd lvl like 23 and has directives going... and thinks he can face tank with his little crusader shield.

Pro tip: get ecredits with your scavenging points and buy mods and deconstruct them, you'll get more printer filaments this way

When done with wony use the e credit currency, and buy gear mods. you get more filament if you buy mods then use scavenging points for filament.

My Scorpio when I rerolled it went from 2 max rolls to 1 max but needed to optimized twice instead of optimizing the one wrong five times.

When doing proficient wear different gear/ weapons then what you are picking up for proficiency.

Are you suppose to mark item in inventory as recalibration before recalibrating?
You can do - though it's just cosmetic. Can be a useful tool to sort gear in bulk, but not necessary :)

True, it is - but it's also probably less efficient than countdown (I haven't done the exact figures) because it adds such a huge grind to the process

how do you raise your bench power level...I am 242, below 250...how is bench power raised?
So is it useless to even add anything to the recal library that is below lvl 31?
What about "the summit" location?
Summit is pretty terrible for loot. And after the introduction of Countdown, many player just view it as "dead" now.
