The dynasty cream is gorgeous, as is the cleansing balm and sleeping mask. I actually really enjoy the scent of them too, very unique and pleasant almost meditative, never irritated my skin either. Beauty of Josean is definitely my fave K-Beauty brand, although I do have faves from enty other brands
I only wish I could get on here and say, "this is it everyone, this is how to get the skin you've always wanted immediately". Sadly, I know it has to be a journey for everyone, simply because we all have different skin!

I have 3 containers of sheet masks sorted by skin concern. I'm not good at using them. It doesn't help that it's 0 degrees here so the thought of putting a cold sheet mask on my face sounds less than desirable. I need to work at that. More importantly, your skin is absolutely radiant! I have to say, this is now my #1 brand that I want to come to Ulta now, too! 🤞
So true. Sheet masking is much more appealing when it isn't freezing! 🥶🥶 They would fit into Ulta SO well. It's the contrast that brands like the Ordinary need imo - great brand for actives, not as strong on soothing ingredients. BoJ would balance them out SO. WELL. Get it, Ulta!!
You are not alone, I have over 400 sheet masks and at the peak, the collection was over 500. I am from old school K-beauty squad where sheet masks were everything, so I would have a whole range of any average masks out there. My husband used to sheet masks on alternate days when he worked from home but now he uses sheet masks once a week, I sheet masks twice a day on most days. We have a dedicated masking station with a lazy susan shelf of wash-off masks and tons of sheet masks. What changed is we have shifted to more Japanese 30 days mask packs ever since K-beauty went west and ....u guys are more pro-environment and I have learned to be more environmentally friendly too. For a long time, I am embarrassed to put this out there. Usually, the collection was around 250-350 masks until last year, a 30 sheet pack went out of stock and we hunted it down at one of the Japanese outlets and bought 8 packs of that. It was a blessing, we got them at $8.90 each but since the hike in petrol prices and everything else, the price has ballooned to a whopping $13.90. I won't pay $13.90 for the quality so I have to start shopping for other brands.
Did that concept originate in Japan?? It would make so much sense actually - yeah, it’s a brilliant system! Sheet masking does so much for my skin. Too much to ever give it up, although I will keep seeking out ways to do it with less and less waste production!
They had a "cloud" bubble toner that made me LOVE this brand. (Think it got discontinued.) I still have a back-up bottle 😋 Once that is done, I'll try their AHA bubble toner. Thanks for sharing the love of this brand. Cheers.
My favorite unavailable in US Asian brand is Yukeido. I ordered it from a Hong Kong company and have never seen it since. They made a weird breast firmness/growth serum that had deer placenta in it. You know for sure it's a legit Asian line if they make a product like that! Great vid.
It's really nice to see the Beauty of Joseon products being reviewed because I've ordered their renewal cream, bubble toner, and serum set this week. I've been searching for a review like crazy but no one has done it properly other than you. I also wanted to order Apricot Peeling Gel but there are so many comments that say it doesn't peel the skin and it's just a silicone with some fragrance, also includes alcohol. I'm planning to buy their cleansing balm and essence this month. I hope I like them as much as you do. Thanks for the video!
Hmm interesting. I haven't tried too many peeling gels myself, but I do tend to feel they're much more for sensitive skin. I have a fruit seed based scrub that I absolutely adore (not the harshness of walnut scrub, but scrubs more than peeling gels). Hmmmmm. If it's premature aging, it can be reversed!! I can't believe how much more faint mine are these days. Retinol, AHA, vit C -- and I strongly believe plant-based ingredients have promise too. Oh and I do take collagen and HA. Okay typing that out makes me realize it's not tHiS oNe SiMpLe tRiCk!, but rather a well-rounded routine. Although that's true for any skin concerns!
@@britnysnyder4991 vital proteins is the absolute best imo. Thankfully I got a subscriber tip to get it at Costco - best price by FAR. For vitamin c, i'd say a 15% L-AA. I've heard Timeless is great, and I'm personally still using Rosen's. I like the derivatives as well, but I prefer to recommend L-AA just because it's the most studied.
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I'm 44 in April, so I'm not sure how premature it is! 😆 It's not helped by hormone-related sun damage. It's all baby steps with my reactive skin (though I use BHA daily with no problem) - retinol scares me, but Vitamin C isn't bad so far.
In my experience Beauty of Joseon is a beautiful line. However, I tried the essence and the glow serum and it made my skin feel dry and tight. The dynasty cream was not rich enough for me in terms of moisture and it feels a little sticky and not moisturizing enough for the winter months. However, I may attempt to try it again in the summer months to see if I like it. I purchased the eye cream with the retinal because it is milia safe so I will see in time if this helps with the wrinkles around my eyes. Overall, for the price and quality I still think its a great skincare brand with great ingredients.
I buy this brand from Yesstyle and there is free shipping or $5 shipping depending on how much you spend. I also get my order in 3 to 5 days. I have not bought anything from sylevanna so I can't compare the two.

👀 I don’t want to speak too soon but since I added ginseng to my routine I stopped having painful pimples under my skin- they would come around my cycle and leave big scars. I started with the repair serum and I now use the ginseng water only bc I already use the cosrx snail mucin. I still have lil pimples here and there but they disappear overnight after using a clay mask.
Thanks for all your great reviews which I have sat and watched about 7 or your videos. I just subbed and this Ginseng Essence Water seems to be a favorite of many. I am 61 with normal/dry (very dry skin Winter due to climate) and have used everything from Obaji to Skinceuticals (love, but now to pricey in later life) and ........All in all, can't figure when this would be used in the process of AM/PM or one or the other as I use US Pharm grade products as well.
Specifically the ginseng essence? I use it after any actives; or in a more calming skincare routine, after/in place of toner and before serum. Hope that helps!
I have heard rave reviews of the Dynasty cream. It sounds kind of good in formulation. Going to get a jar of it to help in my winter travel during the Christmas season.
It’s a great texture - not too heavy but still has just the right amount of that protective/occlusive type of feel. It’s very well done (unsurprisingly lol, I love this brand so much!)
I actually did Dr. Jart a while ago (smaller review though). I liked what I tried, very cosmetically elegant brand - but I thought some of the products were pricey. HOWEVER... I've lived and learned that Dr. Jart products are way more expensive at Sephora than K-Beauty retailers. It might be worth it for me to revisit the brand knowing that haha!

Hello, I'm new here, so happy that I stumbled across your channel. I will definitely be subscribing! Any who.....I found Beauty of Josen a few months ago, everything that I have tried, I really like. I have dry, mature skin. It works well for me. I order mine from Soko Glam, they are K beauty products but they come from California. It's not as quick as Amazon, but no where near as slow as coming from the other side of the world.
The corx snail muscin makes my skin glow but also makes me break out ☹️ I think its a bit too heavy for me. I’m into snail muscin because in middle school i got a snail cream sample from natural republic and IT WORKED SO GOOD. It’s still the best i’ve ever tried. But it’s quite expensive the full package 🥲 I’m gonna try the ginseng + snail serum to see how it goes !!! Hope it works since i’ve never tried ginseng before

Somehow I haven't tried much from Skinfix! I think I've only tried a face wash and hand cream. But I have heard good things. However...phew. that Farmacy one. It's sooooo good. Probably my absolute favorite moisturizer!

Just got the apricot peeling gel from Amazon and it was very nice if I know how to use it correctly ..and the Dynasty cream, new formulation, is stunning..I have been using that and serums for awhile now...and love all the products. OK..now you MUST also try Haruharu Wonder (black rice) and Sioris...oh my...i rotate through these 3 brands and skincare is such a joy..wish I could do it more than twice a day. I do have a Missha Mugwort that is great for acne....What is your thoughts about not washing face in am with anything but water???
That's what I do ~5ish times a week! ☺️ It's why I love micellar water so much - this works out so much better for my skin than cleansing twice a day every single day. Could be partly influenced by the hard water in my area, could just be that it's a better option for my skin regardless. But I'd definitely say it's worth trying, especially if you have congestion/sensitivity. It cuts down on both of those issues for me. Going on about 3 years of swearing by this method!

Unfortunately the more you learn about skincare, the good, the bad, the market, all that good stuff, the more “awake” you become and realize that there are more companies out there that are trying to make money off you then there are that actually care about helping with your problems.
Yup yup yup OMG yup. I understand why skincare is a booming market, and it's not "because companies care!" It's the profit margin. Good lord, the profit margin in beauty is ridiculous. Nonetheless, I also still wholeheartedly believe there are companies who make products out of passion. They're fewer and further between, but they do exist!

I have their radiance cleansing balm and for some reason when I use it, actives (adapalene or an AHA serum) I put on after really burn. No idea why. It has fragrance but I don’t typically have a sensitivity to that. Just a heads up))

I have been able to find most of the brand at places that deliver quickly but I cant find the ginseng essence that's what I have been trying to hunt down😢 I am so down with the k skincare now I love everything I have got so far and it's so much cheaper then western brands and shopping at sephora I'm loving it it's like what took me so long to get on the k and j skincare train. I haven't, but that does look like a great product! Seems like a gentler approach to scars/hyperpigmentation, which I'd say is important to offer. AHA/Vit C won't work for everyone, but they're used ALLLL the time. Also love the "smells like sulfur" note haha - good for them for putting all the important info out there!
Tbh I do - there's a very strange attitude in the US towards plant-based ingredients (*cough* studied nutrition *cough* know this PAINFULLY well). Whereas in Korea, the research into ginseng, as well as many other plant-based ingredients, is ongoing, thorough, and very promising! Granted, I would never say, "well throw away your retinoids!", but for me...I'll be adding ginseng into my retinol/AHA/vit c/BHA routine!

It makes it so hard to guess right now Disappointed to hear that about Stylevana though...I do think they should either tell you to put it aside until more info comes out or tell you it's not included in the sunscreens that are being reevaluated...

Well, they’re quite different overall. Versed uses active ingredients at low percentages. BoJ focuses on botanical ingredients instead. They do work very nicely in a complimentary routine!

The ginseng essence water? It could absolutely be used as a toner - in fact I do that all the time. It’s more lightweight than the Dr. Ceuracle which makes it quite nice before it!

I cut my cosrx snail Essence out of my routine and DAMN am I paying for it. Starting it back up tomorrow! It helps with literally everything! I’m an Estie and I swear I should just call my sessions “snail mucin indoctrination hour” 😂

I'm very tempted by the ginseng essence! (Yesterday I noticed actual forehead wrinkles. It's either this or get bangs! O.O) ETA: you are not kidding about the old Dynasty Cream packaging! So pretty...
If it's premature aging, it can be reversed!! I can't believe how much more faint mine are these days. Retinol, AHA, vit C -- and I strongly believe plant-based ingredients have promise too. Oh and I do take collagen and HA. Okay typing that out makes me realize it's not tHiS oNe SiMpLe tRiCk!, but rather a well-rounded routine. Although that's true for any skin concerns!

@@britnysnyder4991 vital proteins is the absolute best imo. Thankfully I got a subscriber tip to get it at Costco - best price by FAR. For vitamin c, i'd say a 15% L-AA. I've heard Timeless is great, and I'm personally still using Rosen's. I like the derivatives as well, but I prefer to recommend L-AA just because it's the most studied.
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I'm 44 in April, so I'm not sure how premature it is! 😆 It's not helped by hormone-related sun damage. It's all baby steps with my reactive skin (though I use BHA daily with no problem) - retinol scares me, but Vitamin C isn't bad so far.
@@gasparinha maybe try adapalene. Its cheap and less irritating than Tretinoin.
In my experience Beauty of Joseon is a beautiful line. However, I tried the essence and the glow serum and it made my skin feel dry and tight. The dynasty cream was not rich enough for me in terms of moisture and it feels a little sticky and not moisturizing enough for the winter months. However, I may attempt to try it again in the summer months to see if I like it. I purchased the eye cream with the retinal because it is milia safe so I will see in time if this helps with the wrinkles around my eyes. Overall, for the price and quality I still think its a great skincare brand with great ingredients.

👀 I don’t want to speak too soon but since I added ginseng to my routine I stopped having painful pimples under my skin- they would come around my cycle and leave big scars. I started with the repair serum and I now use the ginseng water only bc I already use the cosrx snail mucin. I still have lil pimples here and there but they disappear overnight after using a clay mask.

I just subbed and this Ginseng Essence Water seems to be a favorite of many. I am 61 with normal/dry (very dry skin Winter due to climate) and have used everything from Obaji to Skinceuticals (love, but now to pricey in later life) and ........All in all, can't figure when this would be used in the process of AM/PM or one or the other as I use US Pharm grade products as well.
Specifically the ginseng essence? I use it after any actives; or in a more calming skincare routine, after/in place of toner and before serum. Hope that helps!

I have heard rave reviews of the Dynasty cream. It sounds kind of good in formulation. Going to get a jar of it to help in my winter travel during the Christmas season.
It’s a great texture - not too heavy but still has just the right amount of that protective/occlusive type of feel. It’s very well done (unsurprisingly lol, I love this brand so much!)

I actually did Dr. Jart a while ago (smaller review though). I liked what I tried, very cosmetically elegant brand - but I thought some of the products were pricey. HOWEVER... I've lived and learned that Dr. Jart products are way more expensive at Sephora than K-Beauty retailers. It might be worth it for me to revisit the brand knowing that haha!

Hello, I'm new here, so happy that I stumbled across your channel. I will definitely be subscribing! Any who.....I found Beauty of Josen a few months ago, everything that I have tried, I really like. I have dry, mature skin. It works well for me. I order mine from Soko Glam, they are K beauty products but they come from California. It's not as quick as Amazon, but no where near as slow as coming from the other side of the world.
It’s so rare to find a brand where every product does what it claims to do! (Double up on that rarity in that: nothing is overpriced?!) such a gem!
The corx snail muscin makes my skin glow but also makes me break out ☹️ I think its a bit too heavy for me. I’m into snail muscin because in middle school i got a snail cream sample from natural republic and IT WORKED SO GOOD. It’s still the best i’ve ever tried. But it’s quite expensive the full package 🥲 I’m gonna try the ginseng + snail serum to see how it goes !!! Hope it works since i’ve never tried ginseng before

Somehow I haven't tried much from Skinfix! I think I've only tried a face wash and hand cream. But I have heard good things.
However...phew. that Farmacy one. It's sooooo good. Probably my absolute favorite moisturizer!

Just got the apricot peeling gel from Amazon and it was very nice if I know how to use it correctly ..and the Dynasty cream, new formulation, is stunning..I have been using that and serums for awhile now...and love all the products. OK..now you MUST also try Haruharu Wonder (black rice) and Sioris...oh my...i rotate through these 3 brands and skincare is such a joy..wish I could do it more than twice a day. I do have a Missha Mugwort that is great for acne....What is your thoughts about not washing face in am with anything but water???
That's what I do ~5ish times a week! ☺️ It's why I love micellar water so much - this works out so much better for my skin than cleansing twice a day every single day. Could be partly influenced by the hard water in my area, could just be that it's a better option for my skin regardless. But I'd definitely say it's worth trying, especially if you have congestion/sensitivity. It cuts down on both of those issues for me. Going on about 3 years of swearing by this method!

Unfortunately the more you learn about skincare, the good, the bad, the market, all that good stuff, the more “awake” you become and realize that there are more companies out there that are trying to make money off you then there are that actually care about helping with your problems.

I understand why skincare is a booming market, and it's not "because companies care!" It's the profit margin. Good lord, the profit margin in beauty is ridiculous.
Nonetheless, I also still wholeheartedly believe there are companies who make products out of passion. They're fewer and further between, but they do exist!

It's more of a watery essence I would say. Imagine it as slightly thicker than water as it does have a smidge of viscosity to it. Hope that helps!
I have their radiance cleansing balm and for some reason when I use it, actives (adapalene or an AHA serum) I put on after really burn. No idea why. It has fragrance but I don’t typically have a sensitivity to that. Just a heads up))

I have been able to find most of the brand at places that deliver quickly but I cant find the ginseng essence that's what I have been trying to hunt down😢 I am so down with the k skincare now I love everything I have got so far and it's so much cheaper then western brands and shopping at sephora I'm loving it it's like what took me so long to get on the k and j skincare train. I bought the face theory N10 to try out to u said u were gonna do a trial with that brand I have the sheet mask for this brand in my cart I havent got those yet.

I haven't, but that does look like a great product! Seems like a gentler approach to scars/hyperpigmentation, which I'd say is important to offer. AHA/Vit C won't work for everyone, but they're used ALLLL the time.
Also love the "smells like sulfur" note haha - good for them for putting all the important info out there!

Tbh I do - there's a very strange attitude in the US towards plant-based ingredients (*cough* studied nutrition *cough* know this PAINFULLY well). Whereas in Korea, the research into ginseng, as well as many other plant-based ingredients, is ongoing, thorough, and very promising!
Granted, I would never say, "well throw away your retinoids!", but for me...I'll be adding ginseng into my retinol/AHA/vit c/BHA routine!

Well, they’re quite different overall. Versed uses active ingredients at low percentages. BoJ focuses on botanical ingredients instead. They do work very nicely in a complimentary routine!

The ginseng essence water? It could absolutely be used as a toner - in fact I do that all the time. It’s more lightweight than the Dr. Ceuracle which makes it quite nice before it!
