FULL RECIPE HERE: diethood.com/stove-top-chicke...
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
1.5 pounds (about 6 chicken thighs) boneless skinless chicken thighs (you can also use chicken breasts)
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
salt and fresh ground pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup low sodium chicken broth (you can also use wine or juice)
fresh chopped parsley for garnish
DIRECTIONS:
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Season chicken thighs with onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
Add seasoned chicken thighs to the skillet, smooth side down; cook for 5 minutes or until you can easily flip over the chicken.
Flip and continue to cook for 6 to 7 more minutes, or until no longer pink.
Add butter and minced garlic; cook for about 30 seconds or until fragrant.
Add chicken broth and stir around to scrape up all the crispy bits on the bottom of the pan.
Continue to cook for 1 minute.
Remove from heat.
Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
Serve.
Was looking for a recipe that didn't require baking and I found it! This was very easy, quick, and delicious! Thighs were very juicy and my 4 year old approved!
How long on each side
@@rubyhernandez1167 6min each side
@@725kray Sorry but 6 min is no way near enough time to cook a chicken thigh per side right? You sure?
@@TycoTyrannus It is if they're boneless. Also, you're finishing off the cooking by boiling it in the stock. You can leave it on for 10-15 minutes in the stock to cook through.
@@aanesijr i know u really cook cause some ppl never think about the stock simmer cooking the inside. thanks for the tips
At last a pan-fried chicken thigh recipe that does not require finishing in the oven! Love adding the chicken stock at end. If your pan has enough room, you could add sliced potatoes, diced onion and sliced mushrooms when chicken is partly done. Just remove chicken from pan and cover while you finish cooking the vegs with lid on. A variation on the steam-saute method.
I let my chicken cook for about 12min on each side, i think my stove top medium heat or pan wasn't cooking it at the same times as yours. Thank you for the recipe. . So simple, and i appreciated that your video was straight to the point.
Just subscribed! Love the simplicity of the recipe, the seasonings, and the healthier eating! Thank you for sharing your talents!
Yum yum! Love how you used broth and butter. I’m gonna make this come true! Thanks 😋
That looks very simple and also very good. I expect that a recipe that involves liquid stock is more repeatable. I have lots of chicken thighs in my freezer so I will tell to how it works for me. Very kind of you to post, Katerina.
I am trying this tonight! Thanks for sharing!!
Yep. That's the one I was looking for. Simple. Tasty. Inexpensive. Thank you
Just perfect!
Thank you.
Thank youuuu nice simple and no oven
Just made it ,10/10,thank you👍
Awesome looks yummy I will try this out today
That turned out really good! I added shallots with my minced garlic, and a little cooking wine with the chicken broth. Yum!😋
Thank you for sharing.
This is bomb tried it tonight!! Thank you so much very delicious 🤤. Will try with pork chops as well!
Thank you I'm going to try this now 😃
Thanks. This is awesome.
Awesome simple just what I was looking for with some white steam rice I’ll make a chicken rice bowl let the flavor drip down to the rice 😋👍🏼
Did not have any chicken broth, so used white wine, as you suggested instead. These were a BIG hit and so yummy. Thanks. Dave
How much time did you heat it each side. ? Like rough estimation.??
Just made it tonight and it was delicious
Thanks for sharing 🙂
It was delicious!
Looks delicious 👌
Mine didn’t look so pretty, but were still crazy delicious! Making them this week again. They save in the fridge wonderfully for up to four days (low temperature).
Xgenerati how long on each side
I love this recipe but I made one change. I use white wine instead of broth and it is delicious.
Not sure about the chili powder, think I'd rather do Parprika. But to each her own and thank you for bein thorough but quick!
I have chili powder somewhere, but could not find it, and used some paprkia too. Really good with paprika and I think I would do it exactly the same next time. Cheers.
Amazing. Delicious and quick. Thank you !!!!
Can I do this in a crockpot and with chicken breast tenders just using the same seasonings and chicken broth?
what temperature on the burner? how long on each side?
Great recipe. Had the chicken with mashed potatoes!!
Does anyone know how much of the seasoning, minced garlic, and olive oil?
Making it now
I am doing this tomorrow but I am adding one serrano with the chopped garlic!
This looks smackin
Yum!
Okay so i need to add a little butter and water... Thanx💜
What kind of juice can I use as an alternative?
Hi! You can use apple juice or pineapple juice. Hope that helps. :)
I was able to get some broth and made this about a week ago. It was great! Thanks for sharing the recipe.
All i can say is ooooooooh yeah! Get down
hey! new to this whole "cooking" thing... anyone know why when I cooked it like I did in the recipe (5 mins on its flat and 6 mins on its other side on medium-high heat) the chicken still ended up very pink in the middle and was very chewy and overall unenjoyable... the skin was pretty bomb tho! although I think it might have been a bit burnt :D
Cook for longer on a slightly lower heat. Around 25 mins total but if your chicken is pink when you cut into it then don't eat it! Raw chicken can be dangerous
Hmm, I used cast iron and it was way above 180, BUT, it was still good and juicy. I always use a thermometer, but I am not a pro, but always best to cook it up to the right temp.
Quite late to this, but it could be that the chicken pieces were cold out of the fridge. That could explain why skin is cooked well, but inside less so.
How long do you cook it on each side? And what temperature?
It tells you in the video description also can I have ur socks
Chicken should always be cooked to 165 internal temp. I usually cook to about 160 & let them rest, they will cook themselves the rest of the way.
12 mins each side
It would be helpful to beginners if you specify low heat ,high heat..time etc
I like the way it look when you get it but you never gave us the temperature to cook it on whether you cook it on high heat in the beginning or medium high whether you adjust the heat during the process of cooking none of that was ever shared it would have been greatly appreciated
Trying reading the post section where everyone plugs their socials. It’s there.
This was delicious! I used water instead of chicken broth
Thanks. I have everything but the chicken broth.
I don't have chicken brother either, but I marinated my chicken :)
yea but broth adds another dimension in flavor on top of the seasonings.
can you use water to cook it instead
I skipped the stock and butter. Tastes great and juicy too!
Instead of broth can I use just water to boil them?
I did it with water the other day, it may lose a little flavor but if you season properly it'll be alright
Yeah I a-gree taking out the skin too.nice with butter maybe a little water and hot sauce to a table spoon of oil covered that's another way thanks for the VDO that's how you make chicken Gordon Ramsey.)
Will it still turn out well if you don’t use chicken broth?
Yes, I used water and it was delicious
So this is exactly how I make mine but it doesn’t look this goo. Like how? 😭

Well, I needed something I could do quickly with my Chicken thighs I think this is going to work. I will let you know how it comes out
LaToya Chapman howd it come out??
I had change it up cause kid got sick and had to handle that so I will have to add it back on the menu
Very good, but mine took 45 minutes to cook? Thanks 😊
45 minutes for boneless skinless chicken thighs? That’s way too long. Maybe it was bone-in thighs that you used?
@@diethood oh yes bone in and very large thx😊
dude how long?
Cliff DaRiff forever
Thanks avi
Recipe was pretty cool, expect chicken to take longer than 12 mins to fully cook🤣
Mine have the bone in so I guess this won't work
Nice but the music was a real bummer.
just mute it and hum your favorite tune 😉
It all looks good until the chicken broth was brought into the picture. The seared juices would be absorbed into the broth.
This tasted like soup
One of the best ever chicken thighs recipe i have ever tried so far. Thanks for sharing this recipe with all of us. Even i have a special chicken skillet thighs recipe as well. Check out the recipe here: www.foodybud.com/skillet-chicken-thighs-crunchy-creamy-sweet/
Didn’t even give directions just showed you cooking lol
Its a recipe not a instructions vid 😂
@@NeverDial911 how you gonna show a recipe without instructions 🤦🏽♂️

this music gives me a headache
Bol 😂😂😂😂😂😂 bra idk y this comment was so funny to me. Maybe i was low-key thinking this shit as i was scrolling +reading. Omg hahah. U have to listen to the music and read this at the same time to get it.
Wow...Are you serious? Worthless clickbait? No crucial information like temperature or timing! "Thanks "
There IS a link in the description that gives you all that info, but I would agree it should be on here too.
I hate videos like this. I first started at the Web site. An ad covered the page the minute I scrolled to the ingredients- couldn't get rid of it. Clicked on this link, disappointed again by a blah type of video. Is this what they mean when they describe something as click bait?
Horrible music
disgusting, drenched in oil. This is NOT how you cook chicken thighs.
Salads are much better than eating fowl meat
