Joe Reed Moore has the Ohio State decease. Lack of strength and size. Bo and Penn State just overpowers OSU. You would think over the last 4 years of getting rag dolled by Penn State the Buckeyes would hit the weight room.

I swear they so intimidated by bo nickol from the start they need to be aggressive with this cat.
Problem is, when you throw a descent shot and it's effortlessly countered or you are getting taken down when you feel you are in good position, it takes away from some of your mental preparation. It's bad enough knowing that he's the best even if you know you have a shot. You approach it differently and it's hard when you get broken down and toyed with when you feel like no matter what you do, it's still not working. Bo is a beast.
slickwilly9684 I feel that. Makes sense. I love watching the kid wrestle he is very dominant and comfortable in any position which not all wrestlers are. Being able to watch him and his squad dominate is very cool for an older cat like myself.

Another wrestler pinned by the Bo-train cradle. Nickal just emasculates his opponents. Props to Striggow for making it into the 3rd round. Good show of respect from Nickal after pinning him.

Down 4 to 14 Striggow gave up, and it looks like a loss due to a pin was more acceptable to him than a score showing being totally dominated by Nickal the entire match.
Would love to see 2019 Bo wrestle a 2002 Cael.
You know on the international level you hear the ref clearly yelling commands too....how do the foreign guys understand? For example "action" "up" "no fingers/hands to face" etc

It looked like Bo stretched the match out into the 3rd period just to entertain the crowd. He was all for giving them their money's worth. Then he decked the poor kid as a cherry on top.
So I'm just gonna say it . No matter what the sport football ,baseball, even wrestling Michigan U always on top tier with their gear/uniforms/kit. It's a shame they're not more successful at winning big lol . Anyway this is an older video sun is shining on Hawkeyes for 2020 GO IOWA! LOL

Moore NEVER has a chance against Bo... he's like alot of OSU wrestlers....they crumble under the pressure.
Jeff Darnell OSU does not crumble. They are just small and weak. Penn State just overpowers them.
ncaa wrestling is flawed. its turning out lazy slow american wrestlers who need years to adjust to european type olympic wrestling. ncca incentivises riding time like its something to shoot for. you get maybe 5 seconds to make something happen at the olympics. please ncaa change the rules(if you are kyle dake disregard this msg. good job btw)
It's far more interesting to watch than international wrestling, which is just "stay on your feet and stall" or "stall once you're on the ground, because there's no threat of getting pinned if you just belly out".
I guess you missed the US getting a couple of team world championships in the last several years, huh? Not just dake. Cox and Taylor and other guys showing up and placing below those three champs. Dake was a hammer when he had to ride someone, so was taylor.
It’s a different sport. They emphasize different things. Folkstyle (US rules) emphasizes controlling your opponent including grappling. Freestyle (Olympic/world wrestling) emphasizes throwing your opponent and exposing your opponents back.
I think it would be good in the US to add freestyle and Greco as a separate sport to college wrestling. We do have some high school and college kids choosing to compete internationally, of course they have to learn the rules and adjust their strategies to get there, but we are getting better at least in freestyle.
steve9007 folkstyle is way better to watch, it’s truly showing that you can control your opponent instead of just throwing them so I think we need to make folkstyle part of the olympics
