I'm a metalhead and I think Jendrik should have gotten one of the top places. It's a catchy happy song with great message. He is authentic and has a wonderful personality, he writes his songs and put so much work into making the video by himself, the performance, and made his dream to go to ESC come true. There's a video on UA-cam about his way to ESC that was really inspiring to watch. Wishing you much success in the future Jendrik!
@@metalheadmetalhead4976 I assumed it would be awful when graham norton said it was "like marmite if everyone hated it", but I really liked it. It has a nice message, some fun lyrics (my personal favourite being 'I really dont care that you want to bash me', and it was a cheerful song to have stuck in my head for the whole of the next day. And Jendrik seems like a really nice guy as well.
Thank you. I’m German and I hated our songs in the last years but this one was catchy and the live performance wasn’t bad either. 😅 Congratulations on your win, you absolutely deserved it. 💚🤍❤️
Its 2023 now... And I still, even as a Metalhead, I love to come back over and over again! One of the few songs, which sticks with you! Thank you Jendrick!
Omg, this is such a new take from Germany. Positive, upbeat, good vibe! I really hope the live performance be like a huge musical, very silly and joyful. And is so refreshing after 2020 energy and lockdowns.
Just watched his making of of the music video and I'm amazed! Jendrik did this all by himself with help from friends bc he dreamed of participating at esc Own ideas, own production & writing! I really like his authenticity 😊
I like this song because it's kinda catchy and I can imagine sending it to someone to make a point or to make a joke on tiktok, you know? Like it's fun, it's tongue in cheek more than explicitly cheesy (which most songs with this messaging run the risk of being) and they performed it with a lot of panache! I like it! I hope they didn't get 0 points for not taking themselves seriously--that's what made it good!
This song makes my heart warm. Three minutes to forget worries and problems. Three minutes of positivity. Three minutes in a good mood. Thanks for that. Greetings from Germany
I agree and I think the Brits will find it hysterical. I think Jendrik will do wonders for UK / German relations with the bouncy blast of fun to blow away all the depression of the pandemic.
I love this, and this is exactly the song we need during this pandemic. It makes me instant happy. It will do much better than people think. Good luck from Belgium! Well done.
I think this kind of feelgood songs can work or not depending on many circumstances. In 2019 it may have worked, but 2020/21 were difficult times for many people so I guess many wanted to cry out their sadness and other accumulated bad feelings with heavy rock tunes (the only 2 rock tunes were extremely popular in televoting) and melancholic ballads like those of France and Switzerland. Jendrik was simply too light for 2021. Personally I think it's a catchy song and also sorta funny. I'm sure it worked at least as a contrast to the other serious, bombastic songs and may have given a good laugh or at least a smile to many viewers. I wish Jendrik the best!
When a song refers to itself and contains the phrase "tap break," I'm really hoping it's a joke... but as as American, I'm still confused as to whether you're supposed to try to win or not
The song was produced by a professional music producer called Christoph Oswald. I like the song and Jendrik. But I think it's very unfair of him to always pretend he did it all by himself.
I'm Italian and of course I'm happy for our win, but honestly I like this song. I don't think it could win the competition, but it's so happy, cheerful and catching! I loved the positive attitude the singer had last night too, he was really nice and sporting, it was clear he was having fun no matter the result! I wish other contestants *cough cough France cough cough* were like him! Greetings from Italy ☺️
It was French journalists that spread the rumor about Damiano and not Barbara. She is happy with the result and congratulated them & of course congratulations Maneskin are awesome... so is Jendrik :)
@@Euglena7 I've never said it was Barbara's fault nor anything else, but I've read that not only French journalists spreaded that rumor, but there were also many French people who asked for Italy to be eliminated from the competition, they even asked president Macron to take interest of the matter, and to be honest this seems like a bit too much. As it was too much for French calling Italy "a country of coke kickers". That's not fair nor sporting at all and it's honestly totally different than the attitude the German singer had.
@@LadyLiaChamb Wow that is a bit extreme. I'm sure it's just a small number of people, but who are very loud. France did give you 10pts in the televote. Anyways, I am happy you won after all these years of sending such great songs (France sends garbage half of the time haha)

@@j.cr.1207 the judges are always giving points to the same people (Greece-Cyprus, Cyprus-Greece) and the judges votes always hugely differ from the public votes. Is it weird that I'm actually into this song, usually I would be like wtf but I really like this is different, weird , fun idk kind of fit perfectly with the pandemic. I hope it goes far
For real! I really hope Jendrik will not end up in the last place, you can see he put a lot of effort in his music video (especially getting 18 broken washing machines) and the song is indeed really fun and with a good message :)
The fact that this is considered as a joke doesn't mean it will end up in one of the last places. So song stands for itself it is even weirder than Lithuania. I also don't think that Iceland or Russia(if Little Big will be their representive) will come close to this since their entries were still more serious last year. It has a strong message and it definitely stands out!
He also said something around "und die, die sich nicht entscheiden möchten" (and those who don't want to decide) in the final version which is even cuter because it probably isn't easy to edit/change your esc entry
Can we just appreciate he paid for everything himself? This song is soo cute and I love it I think he’ll do very well at Eurovision. He will have a good staging most likely and he has charm and charmisa which will boost him up. Imagine this a Eurovision, in the middle of ballad and other songs we get this. Please don’t dislike and just enjoy
This song is good because it's original and such a humble attempt. Jendrik deserves a great result in the ESC for sure (highest I can do is 4th place, lowest may be 12th), for coming up with everything with not any serious proffesional help!
This song is incredible, this song conveys an immense joy and those who don’t like it just don’t listen and don’t waste time debasing whoever worked on that song (this is disrespectful)
Und fast alle prophezeien im 0 Punkte, da werden diese Miesepeter sich aber wundern, Platz 10 Minimum! (Zum Glück in diesem Fall dürfen deutsche Zuaschauer nicht mit abstimmen!)

How many non-serious entries are we gonna hear this year? Hot damn. And also, it pleases me that a country like Germany decided to bring something silly to Eurovision for the first time in I don't know how many years

He is authentic and has a wonderful personality, he writes his songs and put so much work into making the video by himself, the performance, and made his dream to go to ESC come true. There's a video on UA-cam about his way to ESC that was really inspiring to watch. Wishing you much success in the future Jendrik!
You're completely right. Hard to believe but I like this song and its positive vibrations.
Thank you

Omg, this is such a new take from Germany. Positive, upbeat, good vibe! I really hope the live performance be like a huge musical, very silly and joyful. And is so refreshing after 2020 energy and lockdowns.
Jendrik has studied musical at a music college for 4 years, so I assume that the performance at the ESC will be like a scene from a musical.
Just watched his making of of the music video and I'm amazed! Jendrik did this all by himself with help from friends bc he dreamed of participating at esc

Well done.

Same! I didn't think it would have ranked particularly high, but still it deserved more points, is so cheerful and catchy!
This is happy song
Honestly its kind of a bop, its the positivity we all need rn.
Finland: Put your middle fingers up!
