Are you saying he's using way too much body filler? I've never done a fiberglass job before but am trying to learn so I can do my doors soon. I'm broke and usually don't have the tools I need to get jobs done easily but it also doesn't ever stop me 😂 ideally I won't need to sand too much
@@RandoManFPV you dont need to put chopmat on the outside.after you stretch the material around your rings you can just do good coating of just resin, let it harden and then from the backside add the chopmat. makes for less sanding and less body filler. use the chopmat on the inside for strength, the outside will be a whole lot easier to sand and less itchy too. hope that clears iy up for you.
@bryanhelland2722 this makes very good sense to me. I'm surprised I don't ever see it done that way tho on youtube videos. Everybody does some stretchy material like a blanket, resin, chopmat, and then more resin and chopmat. Sand it, bondo, sand again, finer bondo, finer sand. Then hopefully done. Never seen someone just do the chopmat on the inside. I'd like to find an example of your method tho cuz I will probably do what you suggest.
@@RandoManFPV look up magic sound pro hes a russian guy who in my opinon is the best on youtube hands down. his door pannels look factory but are super custom and clean. thats who i learned from.
Isnt a finished product that makes the person who owns the door panels happy the desired outcome? Who cares how he gets there as long as it aint seriously flawed it aint wrong.
So much sanding! As a finished box builder I can say sanding is the longest most overlooked process! Great video Mouse!

chopmat on the inside of pannel for strength, and you wont need to take a flap wheel to it. holy shit man, you are making it way harder for yourself

Would an orbital sander not be a better tool for this?
Cual sería el precio de algo haci para un civic 03 y si haces envíos pa CT ???
Multiple coats don't mean shit without fiberglass the fibers is your strength
BROTHER YOU’RE IN MY TOWN! WE NEED TO MEET! ASAP. My boy and I are trying to learn this!
Safety first brother. Not worth getting stitches over a door panel.
this video is exactly what not to do when building door pannels., a flap dics really?? talk about making more work for yourself.
