Makit is in a corner laughing hysterically knowing that nobody in their right mind would understand all of this bullcrap at once so they're gonna have to rewatch it again and again, giving makit so much more watchtime
MAKiT, you truly are a gem in the entire UA-cam landscape. The amount of work each video must take with all the blender animations is fucking insane. Hope you keep making these bangers and never lose your passion. Love you
To be fair, it's because doing physics and understanding physics are two different things, ESPECIALLY in quantum mechanics. My most amazing teacher would give us super nice intuitions for quantum stuff but the math is unavoidable. I distinctly remember us doing an exercise where we had to figure out the work function of a specific metal using an electron microscope, and at first it was like "So imagine a wave in water trying to get over a flood barrier, it needs more height right?" and then "Hey here's the dimmensional analysis to prove that this height is potential energy". That was cool and intuitive. Next thing he did was write down a differential equation the size of our whiteboard and told us "Get solving now". That's just how physics is. You cannot avoid the nitty-gritty math sometimes. Every explaination that isn't a raw, unbiased equation is wrong... and even our equations are simplifications already sometimes (shoutouts to ignoring gravity at the quantum scale despite it technically existing). Makkit is admitedly really good at the intuition part, but that only gets you so far with QM.
12:20 The comedic timing right here! Just perfect 😂 Excellent summary! Thank you “Yeah, Graviton fans, cry about it. I don’t care about your pretend ‘particle’!!” 😂😂😂
I love your videos, it teaches us the intricacies of the most complicated science with an extremely low barrier of entry. This is hands down one of the best channels on the internet.
These videos have the quality of some science-related videos that have millions and millions of views, I'm sure you'll also reach there one day if you keep doing these videos. This one is very nice too! Good job and good luck!!!
I would love to download the scene(s) you use for the videos, the way the particles are done is really cool. Big props for the skill you have in blender and the use of it in such a cool way
I've really enjoyed the content ever since I found your channel a couple of months ago(if my memory serves me right) it baffles me that one person can work this much with so many talents(because being able to understand Physics by itself is a talent) in order to provide such quality content for the price of Free. While I cannot directly help I hope that commenting on this and any future videos will tell UA-cam to push your content to more people.
Sadly, I won’t be able to become a patreon any time soon, but I want to tell you that this is good work: Keep it up! Hope you can begin earning enough.
Thank you bro your video really help me understand topics better (now tho i hope you can keep making more of these) sorry me as a student i have no money i can help you with edit: also how tf are you making these weekly 💀
I think it’s kind of hilarious how there are red-antired and blue-antiblue gluons because you can make them in a sort of kludgier way than all the others, but you can’t pull the trick a third time so the green-antigreen gluon, to put it in roughly understandable terms, only partially exists as a vestige of the original GUT force shoved into the electromagnetic field. A boson literally got kicked off the island after the Planck era ended.
Thank you for your excellent work explaining highly complicated concepts so simple almost everyone can understand them. It's so sad too see that the add revenue doesn't cover your costs
Thank you so much, I do agree that trying out youtube full time with my view-counts is... a bit risky to say the least, but hey, it's worth a try Regardless, thank you so much for the donation, it really helps a lot
Hey Makit, i really like your high quality content, but i couldnt help but notice that it doesnt get recommend enought, i think it may be due to the streams and the main videos being on the same channel (idk) perhaps separating both in different channels may help cheers!
Well, with my university studies just getting into Schrödinger, this video can't possibly have more complicated topics right? Right!? At least here you understand them quickly and not after mind numbing hours because you are making it seem easy.
But wait? How can it be complete if we dont know anything about gravity? What about dark energy and dark matter? Will you be making videos about these as well?
6:50 form I could tell you are lowering the degrees of freedom of your system of equations by requiring that the matrix is hermantion I won't explain it here I can de in the discord later 20:30 the thing why just discoverng Tau interaction since they are really massive so you need a very large and high energy hadron colidor to even make them let alone determing which interaction caused what and yes that really really i like this analigy of throwing a clock against the wall so hard it breaks up breaks up in miljoen of parts and see how if you can find this gear
I have a question about leptons, do they carry more charge than a regular electron? If so, would you be able to make analogous elements with less total particles? A leptonic hydrogen that behaves like an electron oxygen f.e.
Oh boy I sure love my weekly 30 min dose of makit going increasingly insane due to having to spend all this time and effort having to learn all this seemingly nonsensical stuff just to try to present it in somewhat sensical way and then having to spend I got no clue how much time editing and making the 3d animations and as a reward getting like 12 views and 5 cents of ad revenue. Hang in there, Im sure its gonna pay off... eventually.
It's both, and actually it's a pretty standard way to do things in physics I don't want to go on a 50 paragraph long rant, but in quantum mechanics we have "quantized fields", so higgs boson is just a particle of the higgs field, just like a photon is a particle of the electromagnetic field
@@MAKiTHappen Ahh ok. I am used to the idea of one things being multiple things, like wave-particle duality or trinity. I didn't realize it was the same for the Higgs boson-field. It seems like the "particle" is really just the centerpoint for a field. Wait, it's all interacting fields isn't it? While I'd love a 50 paragraph long rant from you, I understand you probably don't have time to write it and I don't actually have time to read it. Thank you for answering my question.
I love how the physics explanations have evolved from "because of newton's law of motion" to "trust me bro, this is how it is"
Hell yeah! Fundamental objects!!
I mean there should be a moment where you can tell: "It's just way that's & there's nothing you can do."
Bro. Newton invented the “Trust me bro. This is how it is”
i mean that's literally mathematics (axioms :3)
newton's law of motion are the "this is how it is" for newton lol

Casually watching one guy single handedly explain science and physics better and faster then any of my science teachers combined

Showed one of your videos to a professor and he said he'd put it in his slides for next semester
Things are so complex, the only way to trust him is to... well, just trust him. We have no other option really, but still, great video.
