I didn't have to supply financial information and wasn't asked any questions. My marriage certificate arrived in about 4 weeks. My affidavit of cohabitation was done at a notary public with nothing from the barangay, my marriage certificate had an article 34 (5 years continuous cohabitation) exemption. The officer I saw was fully aware of what we went through during the pandemic so he had no reason to doubt us.
Lovely couple . Just to let you know I really enjoy your blogs. Wishing you all the best for the future Regards Len from the UK . I HOPE TO BE LIVING IN CEBU THIS YEAR .
Good morning sir .I'm originally from the state.I will be going to my interview on Wed.Me and my wife were wondering how many questions ❓ will they be asking at our interview in manila, and are any of the questions trick one . unfortunately I deal with anxiety and depression so I'm just trying to prepare myself and have an idea what to expect
Hey TLM, I assume this is your first interview? If so, they asked my wife and I personal questions regarding each other, things like each other's birthdays, the names or each others siblings and parents , how we meet, what our long term plans were regarding immigration/emigration, things we liked and disliked about each other. They asked about shared hobbies, plans of children, and of course our relationship in general and our wedding. One interesting questions was they asked my wife if I showed any signs of being violent. It took about 30 minutes, and wasn't overly stressful as long as you actually know your partner (my wife actually got my birthday wrong and I still tease her about it lol). Nothing was a trick question, they just want to make sure you both actual know each other and your application isn't blatant immigration fraud. Hope that helps and best of luck with the interview!
Hi!! I'm new subscriber and planing to retairing some time in September and my resident will be on San isidro Pamplona Camarines sur close to Naga, so all the immigration offices are in Naga? did they ask for police clearance cause I'm living in the US, thanks for your info regards stay safe.😊
Hi Enrique. Thanks for subscribing! 😀Yes, there's Bureau of Immigration in Naga not far from Pamplona. In regards with the Police Clearance, They didn't ask for it, NBI clearance instead which you can apply in Naga also. Keep in mind tho that it will take probably a month before you can have it. Hope that helps. Cheers!
Our pleasure Enrique! And congrats on the upcoming retirement. Hope it's a pleasant journey to get here! It took Rick almost 48 hours of travel, but he laid over in Vancouver for the night to break up the flight.
Hi!! I know it's a long flight but this time I coming with my phillipina wife and my baby girl😊 thanks for your kindness and you guys be safe and enjoy it the baby.
You apply for the amendment, which converts from probationary to permanent resident, just before your 1 year probationary period ends. If everything goes well it’s supposed to be implemented within a month. There was a big shake up at the bureau of immigration recently however, so they are incredibly backed up, so it took me 5 months from applying for the amendment before implementation. Actually headed to the bureau of immigration today to have my passport stamped with my permanent resident status. Then they will request my new ACR-I card which supposedly takes another couple weeks to receive.
They should tell you all the paperwork required when you file your application. If you have it I would certainly bring it, but it was never asked of us to prove I lived here in the Barangay for the first interview. I did have to get one for our second application, where we converted from a probationary 13A to full 13A. They told us that up front however (in fact, I believe they gave us all the paperwork requirements for our second application on approval of our conversion application.

Unfortunately if your Australian and marry in the Philippines you loose a quarter of your pension and any kids you have are not given Australian citizenship or support
@@seraphsmile Yes. Because you go from a single mans pension to a married mans pension which is less. But your wife in the Philippines or any kids are not given Australian citizenship.
